I like this plan.
just imagine, in a e3 conference some dude says that he has a very special trailer to show us, the video starts playing we see some gorgeous chinese landscape, and then shenmue theme starts playing, everyone goes crazy.
Anyway even if something shenmue related is happening, best case scenario is that it'll be a remaster

How is that true at all? TLG is an announced game that a studio is actively working on. Shenmue 3 is only but a desire in our hearts.
Apparently it is hard. I've heard everything from licensing issues to them actually losing the original code.

Yeah, gotstrangepowers mentioned that he spoke to Gio and Adam at PSX and Gio told him that Shenmue is the most requested game for the team and that he personally loves the series and even has a Ryo riding a forklift figuring on his desk. But they also said that there are a lot of issues preventing its release.
