Where did I lie? And that wasnt my point, nice try. I care about shit that happens in the world. I just dont see why this deserves more attention then the other horrible shit that goes almost under the radar by the same people screaming the most.
Because in all of those cases, the dominant abusive force commiting genocide isn't backed by half the western world, specifically the United States.

And either way its bullshit logic: You didn't get angry at these other murders enough, so you shouldn't get mad at Israel bombing hospitals and killing children.

Like what's going through your head?

Well then get out of here instead of wasting everyone's time who does want to talk and read about it.

Jesus, that's heartbreaking.

Well for one you claimed that Israel can simultaneously claim defense while also being the aggressor and occupying force of a people and that's a lie. A big one.

Why are you concerned with what people are outraged with? What is it about this issue that makes you uncomfortable? You seem to really want to bar criticism and conversation about it, in a general sense.

How many times will this cycle of bullshit repeat? It's like deja vu every few years, and it's infuriating to anybody with a conscience. Tweeting that you're scared to death in the middle of the night under those conditions? Fuck me.

So is popular opinion starting to turn against Israel?

Or has this just been par the course for decades now?

It looks to me like these actions are generating more and more anti-semitic sentiment around the world. The injustices of the holocaust as a shield to deflect from their own atrocities will not hold strong forever.

Heartbreaking. Living in fear like that is unimaginable. And the Israelis say they are the ones living in fear.
Many of them near the border do suffer from PTS, but at the end of the day they'll have a warm home with food on the table to go home to.

It's going to come back to bite a bunch of innocents in Europe in the end, won't that be tragically ironic :\

don't forget their poor pets :(
Amazing juxtaposition

This disgusting retired ex IDF general shilling on CNN right now.

That's all these right wing assholes know how to do, they spend millions if not billions on astroturfing, and propaganda and not just in Israel but around the world.

Looks at what a right wing shithole Israel has become, walls, embargo's and oppression and imagine that here because that's is one big as GOP wetdream and they would love to implement it here and almost did under Bush.

They claim to be a democracy, but that's only one half, the other half is a brutal totalitarian, genocidal dictator.

The good news is, he's still alive. The bad news...

1128 dead over one night???????????????

watching cnn right now, now a death is a death i get it however and Israeli soldier died they have a 5-7 min video about him with interview of the family, people crying etc. However who cries for Palestinians? Whhere are there family interviews? Why are their names not posted on cnn like this *shakes my head* that is the real tragedy

UN OCHA latest:
75% of Palestinian fatalities are civilians;
6% of Israeli fatalities are civilians.
http://bit.ly/1kjXvpT

These statistics seem to indicate that that Hamas cares more about civilians than the IDF.

The problem in that statistic is who is Hamas and who is an innocent civilian.

I'm not justifying Israel's actions, I think it's not the right action to take, but terrorist groups would dare to turn a group of kids into fighters to fight for their cause.
There is no way to tell the difference between Hamas and civilians with the way terrorists have been growing themselves.

So far, since the beginning of "Protective Edge."

Yes, lets just kill them all! It's too much effort discerning between combatant and civilian.

I do pity the zionists though. In the off chance they do manage to exterminate the indigenous population they have to understand that no nation lasts forever, especially one built upon the foundation of racism and oppression.

At what point do we stop using the word "killed" in these topics and start saying "murdered"?

It's clear as day Israel is out to murder as many civilians as possible, making it clear to them that nobody is coming to save them thanks to good ol' Uncle Sam, and any survivors may as well use any means possible to leave the Chosen People's god-given land.

They don't need to turn them into anything.

In this research we were eager to explore how children are being coped with their problems, so the researcher presented a picture of "Fatma", 15 years old student, who engage in thinking, and we asked children how "Fatma" can solve her problems. We found out that 66% of the children would like to concentrate their effort on the school issue, 24.7% would like to be martyrs, 8.7% would like to encourage the peace process, 0.1% would like to involved in national struggle, 0.5% would like to be concentrating on the religion issue.

If you're not sure who is Hamas and who is an innocent civilian, it might be a good idea to hold off on the bombs until you're sure.

never said that the conflict doesn't disproportionately affect the Palestinians. But the cycle has been seen before. IDF will pull out when they declare "mission accomplished". Settlements get built and no one does anything to condemn Israel. Palestinians fail to put a united front. Some incident sparks conflict between Hamas and the IDF again.

This latest shit started in part because there's a danger of Palestinian authorities putting on a united front and Israel will do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening and Palestine being recognised as a state.

This has gone far enough how many more people must die? like it baffles me the world is idle just I have lost hope/faith with humanity, this is the first time in my life I am speechless

Governments have never really been driving forces behind change - especially not change for the better. It's always been up to the corporations who fund those governments and the people who work for and fund those corporations.

This individual explains the situation quite well - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNbZjTlpM6w

I concur when you have sophisticated technology and you can't tell that those boys on the beach are playing soccer and you kill them anyways then theres a big fucking problem

I often think back to the original title of Elie Wiesel's "Night" - "And the World Remained Silent".

So sad.

Hamas started firing rockets only after the Israeli bombing.
What has Hamas even been responsible for to start the Israeli bombing this time?

And how would you discern a terrorist from a civilian?
Do they become terrorists when they pick up a gun?

No, the problem is IDF doesn't distinguish Hamas and innocent. To the IDF, everyone living in Gaza is Hamas.

Exactly, but this isn't just the IDF's fault. Hamas made all of the Palestinians a target.

Totally, look at all these terrorists:

What the FUCK is wrong with you?

Nothing wrong with me. I feel bad for the innocent people that are in the crossfire, but you should really understand that Hamas, and any other terrorist organizations, are training kids from 5 year olds to become terrorists.

I prefer that no one kills each other, but that's not happening. Hamas are going to kill any Israelis, Israelis are going to kill Hamas with innocent Palestinians being the victims. Understand that it's never going to be possible for the Israeli side to distinguish terrorist.

And you can stop it with the images. Some people here prefer not to see that stuff while having a discussion.

Hamas started firing rockets only after the Israeli bombing.
I don't even know why Israel was after Hamas in the first place.
- Hamas splinter group* kidnaps and murders 3 Israeli settlers in the West Bank
- IDF blame Hamas and commence actions against them on shakier ground than the Iraq War
- IDF arrest 400+ Palestinians looking for them and ransack their homes
- Gaza increases the rate of rockets in response
- It all spirals out of control from there

EDIT: *Isolated group that considers themselves affiliated with Hamas but is not controlled by nor endorsed by them

I thought it was proven that that was not Hamas nor anyone connected with hamas what so ever

Hamas splinter group? The group that kidnapped those kids had nothing to do with hamas. If you start your list with factually incorrect information you discredit your entire argument before it even begins

My mistake, I was under the impression that it was a group that had long since grown distance, or a group that aligned themselves with Hamas against their will.

I didn't mean to mislead. Will edit. In fact my very first post on this situation was about how stupidly eager the Israelis were to jump the gun.

Exactly, but this isn't just the IDF's fault. Hamas made all of the Palestinians a target.

British terrorists from Yorkshire attacked London killing many people. Did that make Yorkshire a 'target'?

A terrorist making anyone a 'target' is a logical fallacy. The ultimate responsibility always lies with the one who pulls the trigger.

Source that Hamas has trained 5 year olds please. I'd love to see these little terrorists you speak of.

- IDF kills teenager and palestine man for no reason.
- IDF claims Hamas responsible for kidnapping, though evidence suggests otherwise.
- IDF launches Protective Edge before there is any increase in rocket attacks.
