Shirrako: Until Dawn Remake is a technical mess

The most unnecessary remake of all time.

How? It's a Remake. The one thing they had to do was make it run technically well. They didn't have to do much else, since the game was already there.

The 3 idiots who were going to buy this despite playing the original will still buy it so good news in my eyes. You get what you deserve for supporting this absolute waste of time "remake".

Ballistic Moon has never made a game before. This game is using Unreal Engine 5 and obviously they had some serious issues and Sony won't bankroll them to delay the game.

A remake is easier to do than an original game, but you still have to be technically sound. The writing was on the wall with this release.

The original (pre-Decima) was buggy at launch, largely fixed in patches but with dodgy performance that wasn't fixed.

This being a full price remake of a complete game blueprint, you can't forgive such technical failures. One of the big flexes for Unreal Engine is there's a wide pool of industry talent already up to speed making content quickly and efficiently with a well-optimised renderer. So far I don't think it's lived up to expectations and the inability to focus on a single hardware spec doesn't help.

At this point is it safe to just assume every single "AAA" release these days is a technical mess at launch unless reported otherwise by normal users instead of paid chills?
