The original (pre-Decima) was buggy at launch, largely fixed in patches but with dodgy performance that wasn’t fixed.
This being a full price remake of a complete game blueprint, you can’t forgive such technical failures. One of the big flexes for Unreal Engine is there’s a wide pool of industry talent already up to speed making content quickly and efficiently with a well-optimised renderer. So far I don’t think it’s lived up to expectations and the inability to focus on a single hardware spec doesn’t help.
