This will be part one of the draft review, where each round is evaluated (I lose steam about halfway, you'll see), terrible picks are shunned, while the good are lauded (very little of that). Lets start this off
.
Round 1
1. Aaron Rodgers of the Packers to Godslay
2. Arian Foster of the Texans to Wrayfield
3. Tom Brady of the Patriots to snesfreak
4. Ray Rice of the Ravens to TheFatOne
5. LeSean McCoy of the Eagles to Fox
6. Calvin Johnson of the Lions to Actstriker
7. Chris Johnson of the Titans to Chan
8. Ryan Matthews of the Chargers to Blarry
9. Cam Newton of the Panthers to Sanjuro
10. Drew Brees of the Saints to Milchjon
11. Darren McFadden of the Raiders to Dutch
12. Trent Richardson of the Browns to Wes
13. Adrian Peterson of the Vikings to Greg
14. Jimmy Graham of the Saints to Black
Nothing special about this round. Best pick goes to Fox, for getting the #1 RB from last year at 5. Worst pick? At the time, Id have said Cam Newton, but now that T-Rich and Ryan Mathews are hurt, it would have to go one of them. Im going to say it was the Mathews pick. The pick of Jimmy Graham isnt all that bad, until you see
..
Round 2
15. Rob Gronkowski of the Patriots to Black
16. Michael Vick of the Eagles to Greg
17. Maurice Jones-Drew of the Jags to Wes
18. Larry Fitzgerald of the Cardinals to Dutch
19. Matt Forte of the Bears to Milchjon
20. Demaryius Thomas of the Broncos to Sanjuro
21. DeMarco Murray of the Cowboys to Larry
22. Wes Welker of the Patriots to Chan
23. Jamaal Charles of the Chiefs to Actstriker
24. Matthew Stafford of the Lions to Fox
25. Greg Jennings of the Packers to TheFatOne
26. Andre Johnson of the Texans to snesfreak
27. Philip Rivers of the Chargers to Wrayfield
28. Marshawn Lynch of the Seahawks to Godslay
him follow it up with the pick of Rob Gronkowski. Theyre both elite, but its a little early to take one, let alone two tight ends in a league that does not do PPR. Yet, that pick was still better than the pick of Demaryius Thomas. Its not that hes not good
.well, its actually kinda that. Was this a pick of Demaryius, or a pick of Peyton Mannings #1 Reciever. It may turn out to be a good pick, but way too early, and considering Peyton looks kinda shitty, might just flop. Best pick is Marshawn Lynch at 2.14. Beast Mode is not respected because hes played in Seattle and Buffalo and keeps getting in trouble, but if hes on the field, hes a first round pick.
Round 3
29. Steven Jackson of the Rams to Godslay
30. Jordi Nelson of the Cheesecurds to Wrayfield
31. Shonn Greene of the Jets to snesfreak(WII-U SUCKS)
32. Aaron Hernandez of the Patriots to TheFatOne
33. Fred Jackson of the Bills to Fox
34. Steve Smith of the Panthers to ActStriker
35. Eli Manning of the Giants to Chan
36. Victor Cruz of the Giants to Larry
37. Darren Sproles of the Saints to Sanjuro
38. Brandon Marshall of the Bears to Milchjon
39. Peyton Manning of the Broncos to Dutch
40. Julio Jones of the Falcons to Wes
41. Roddy White of the Falcons to Greggie
42. Brandon Lloyd of the Patriots to Black
This round was crazy. For both Roddy White and Julio Jones to go after four other receivers not named Calvin or Larry were steals, especially after what weve seen so far this preseason. I still like Roddy more because hes a proven stud. Worst pick has got to be Shonn Greene. Hes terrible, has always been terrible, never warranting to be drafted in the third round. With Tebow as their starting RB, I doubt well see much out of Greene this year, kinda like every other year.
Round 4
43. Doug Martin of the Taco Bells to Black
44. Jermichael Finley of the Packers to Greg
45. AJ Green of the Bengals to Wes
46. Hakeem Nicks of the Giants to Dutch
47. Antonio Gates of the Chargers to Milchjon
48. Laurent Robinson of the Jags to Sanjuro
49. Frank Gore of the 49'ers to Larry
50. Defense from the 49'ers to Chan
51. Ahmad Bradshaw of the Giants to Actstriker
52. Miles Austin of the Cowboys to Fox
53. Marques Colston of the Saints to TheFatOne
54. Vincent Jackson of the Bucs to SlowassSnesfreak
55. Michael Turner of the Hawks to Wrayfield
56. Vernon Davis of the 9'ers to Godslay
I dont want to pick on Sanjuro, but Laurent Robinson over Colston, Austin, V Jax, etc? I kinda feel like, based on his first four picks, that Sanjuro may have time travelled back from after the season and just loaded his team. If not, he must be really high on the Jaguars, or be related to Blaine Gabbert. Best pick of the round was Michael Turner at 4. 13. To almost get him 5 rounds in, coming off another 1300+ 10TD+ year, is a steal.
Round 5
57. Eric Decker of the Broncos to Godslay
58. Reggie Bush of the Dolphins to Wrayfield
59. LaGetrude Blount of the Bucs to Snes
60. Ben Jarvus Green Ellis of the Bengals to TheFatOne
61. Jeremy Maclin of the Eagles to Fox
62. DeSean Jackson of the Eagles to Actstriker
63. Kendall Hunter of the 9'ers to Chan
64. Antonio Brown of the Steelers to BaltimoreTraitor
65. Brandon Pettigrew of the Lions to Sanjuro
66. Beanie Wells of the Cardinals to Milchjon
67. Kyle Rudolph of the Vikings to Dutch
68. Dez Bryant of the Cowboys to Wes
69. Percy Harvin of the Vikings to Greg
70. Stevie Johnson of the Bills to Blackghost
So many bad picks this round. Blount is a backup, Kendall Hunter is backup, and Kyle Rudolph before Jason Witten (we didnt know his insides were going to get exploded)? The Kendall Hunter pick was so bad, because even at that time, he wasnt the backup runningback. And we havent even talked about the fact that I picked a Steeler, which is a shitty pick for my soul. Best pick was Percy Harvin to Greg. Easily can out perform his draft position and previous numbers. Is he still having Migraines? Good luck with that.
Round 6
71. Willis McGahee of the Mannings to Blackghost
72. Jason Witten of the Cowboys to Greg
73. Tony Romo of the Cowboys to Wes
74. Stevan Ridley of the Patriots to Dutch
75. Dwayne Bowe of the Chiefs to Milchjon
76. Peyton Hillis of the Chiefs to Sanjuro
77. Jonathan Stewart of the Panthers to BaltimoreLarry
78. Tony Gonzalez of the Falcons to Chan
79. RGIII of the Redskins to Actstriker
80. Dustin Keller of the Jets to Fox
81. Mike Wallace of the Steelers to TheFatOne
82. Fred Davis of the Redskins to snes
83. Reggie Wayne of the Colts to Wrayfield
84. Darrius Heyward-Bey of the Raiders to Godslay
Not any outlandish picks here, although the amount of TE love in this draft so far is absurd. Best picks were Mike Wallace and Dwayne Bowe, as both were holding out at draft time, and are in camp now.
Round 7
85. Michael Bush of the Bears to Godslay
86. Anquan Boldin of the Ravens to Wrayfield
87. Sebastian Janikowski of the Raiders to snes
88. Tim Tebow of the Jets to TheFatOne
89. James Starks of the Packers to Fox
90. Matt Ryan of the Falcons to Actstriker
91. Torrey Smith of the Ravens to Chan
92. Pierre Garcon of the Redskins to BaltimoreLarry
93. Ryan Fitzpatrick of the Bills to Sanjuro
94. Defense of the Bears to Milchjon
95. Michael Crabtree of the 49ers to Dutch
96. Isaac Redman of the Steelers to Wes
97. David Akers of the 49ers to Greg
98. Jay Cutler of the Bears to BlackGhost
Tim Tebow. Hes not even a Quarterback, nor the starter, nor on a good team. Matt Ryan was still on the board, as were like 10 other legitimate QBs. Ill probably be smited for besmirching the good name of Tebow. Because of the Tebow pick, Ill forget about two Kickers going 7 rounds too early. Best pick goes to ActStriker, although this may only be because of the preseason.
Round 8
99. Kevin Smith of the Lions to BlackGhost
100. Defense of the Texans to Greg
101. Jared Cook of the Titans to Wes
102. Roy Helu of the Redskins to Dutch
103. Credric Benson of the Packers to Milchjon
104. Brian Quick of the Rams to Sanjuro
105. Jacob Tamme of the Broncos to BaltimoreLarry
106. Stephen Gostkowski of the Pats to Chan
107. Jermaine Gresham of the Bengals to Actstriker
108. Defense of the Jets to Fox
109. Ben Rapistberger of the Steelers to TheFatOne
110. Defense of the Ravens to Snesfreak
111. Scott Chandler of the Bills to Wrayfield
112. Titus Young of the Lions to Godslay
At this point, everybody is just desperately grasping for starters. And a lot of these guys suck. More Tight Ends, because you have to start one. Scott Chandler though? Didnt have like 12 catches last year? It pains me to say it, but the Ben Roethlisberger pick is solid at this point. Ravens Defense is an amazing pick, if only because they are the Ravens.
Round 9
113. Nate Washington of the Titans to Godslay
114. Brent Celek of the Eagles to Wrayfield
115. Mike Williams of the Bucs to Snesfreak
116. Defense of the Patriots to TheFatOne
117. Saintonio Holmes of the Jets to Fox
118. Ben Tate of the Texans to ActStriker
119. Danny Amendola of the Rams to Chan
120. Matt Schaub of the Texans to BaltimoreLarry
121. Defense of the Packers to Sanjuro
122. Andrew Luck of the Colts to Milchjon
123. Donald Brown of the Colts to Dutch
124. Jake Locker of the Titans to Wes
125. Cj Spillah of da Bills to Greg
126. Josh NotSoFatman of the Bucs to Black
Last round was shit, but this one is pretty good. Many good picks, but I like the Donald Brown pick to Dutch. Its pretty late to get a starting RB. I love me some Josh Freeman this year, and think in Round 9, hell be a bargain. Worst pick is Patriot D. They suck in real life too.
Round 10
127. Mark Ingram of the Saints to Black
128. Toby Gerhart of the Vikings to Greg
129. DeAngelo Williams of the Panthers to Wes
130. Jon Baldwin of the Chiefs to Dutch
131. Davone Bess of the Dolphins to Milchjon
132. Randy Moss of the 49'ers to Slowjuro
133. Doug Baldwin of the Seahawks to Larry
134. Owen Daniels of the Texans to Chan
135. Robert Meacham of the Chargers to Actstriker
136. Felix Jones of the Cowboys to Fox
137. Kenny Britt of the Titans to TheFatOne
138. Andy Dalton of the Bengals to Snesfreak
139. Defense of the Steelers to Wrayfield
140. Kendall Wright of the Titans to Godslay
Best pick goes to Greg because he had to get Gerhart and he did. I like Meacham, especially now that Vincent Brown is hurt. Wost pick? Theyre all kinda ok, I guess.
Round 11
141. Coby Fleener of the Colts to Godslay
142. Austin Collie of the Colts to Wrayfield
143. Pierre Thomas of the Saints to Saintsfreak
144. Mason Crosby of the Packers to TheFatOne
145. Joe Flacco of the Ravens to Fox
146. David Wilson of the Giants to Actstriker
147. Bernard Scott of the Bengals to Chan
148. Evan Royster of the Redskins to Larry
149. Matt Prater of the Broncos to Sanjuro
150. Dan Bailey of the Cowboys to Milchjon
151. Mikel LeShoure of the Lions to Dutch
152. Greg Olson of the Panthers to Wes
153. Terrel Owens of the Seahawks to Greg
154. JaQuizz (?) Rodgers of the Falcons to Black
Worst Pick? Joe Flacco. Hes not justifiably rosterable by any team, real or fantastical. This round is bad, none of these guys are much of anything.
Round 12
155. Randall Cobb of the Packers to Black
156. Matt HOFFlynn of the Seahawks to Greg
157. Malcom Floyd of the Chargers to Wes
158. Alex Smith of 49'ers to Dutch
159. Nate Burleson of the Lions to Milchjon
160. Danny Woodhead of the Patriots to Sanjuro
161. Ronnie Brown of the Seahawks to Larry
162. Rashad Jennings of the Jags to Chan
163. Ryan Williams of the Cardinals to Actstriker
164. Justin Blackmon of the Jags to Fox
165. Shane Vereen of the Patriots to TheFatOne
166. Martellus Bennett of the Giants to PsOnefreak
167. Cahson Palmah of the Raidahs to Whayfield
168. Ronnie Hillman of the Broncos to Godslay
A bunch of backup Runningbacks this round, and already a few of them have become better picks. Rashad Jennings and Ryan Williams look like they might have value, and Ronnie Brown will be starting for a minute. Worst pick is Alex Smith, because he sucks at football, much like Joe Flacco, and should not be rostered at any level of football.
Round 13
169. Robert Turbin of the Seahawks to Godslay
170. Sidney Rice of the Seahawks to Wrayfield
171. Mario Manningham or the 9'ers to Sleepfreak
172. Benjamin Watson of the Browns to theFatOne
173. Bilal Powell of the Jets to Fox
174. Brandon LaFell of the Panthers to Actstriker
175. Denarius Moore of the Raidahs to Chan
176. Sam Bradford of the Rams to Larry
177. Kellen Winslow of the Seahawks to Sanjuro
178. Alshon Jeffrey of the Bears to Milchjon
179. Tony Moeaki of the Chiefs to Dutch
180. Greg Little of the Browns to Wes
181. Rashard Mendenhall of the Steelers to Greg
182. Defense of Detriot to Black
I like Denarius Moore and Greg Little to do something this year, and Kellen Winslow has some value. Best pick is Sam Bradford by me. Thats right, I think Sam Bradford is getting a bum rap and will bounce back this year. Bad picks are people I had to look up on the internet to figure out who they were.
Round 14
183. Vincent Brown of the Chargers to Black
184. Tom Crabtree of the Packers to Greg
185. Defense of the Eagles to Wes
186. Josh Scobee of the Jags to Dutch
187. Lance Moore of the Saints to Milchjon
188. David Nelson of the Bills to Sanjuro
189. Michael Floyd of the Cardinals to BaltimoreLarry
190. Santana Moss of the Redskins to Chan
191. Defense of the Falcons to Actstriker
192. Tim Hightower of the Redskins to Fox
193. Daniel Thomas of the Dolphins to TheFatOne
194. Dexter McClusterfuck of the Chiefs to Snesfreak
195. Dallas Clark of the Bucs to Wrayfield
196. Robbie Gould of the Bears to Godlsay
The David Nelson pick was great. I was pissed when it happened, because based on Sanjuros earlier track record, I did not think hed be making any good picks. Instead, he stole Nelson from me. Worst pick is Tom Crabtree. Why are you handcuffing your TE?
FINAL ROUND
197. Defense of the Broncos to Godslay
198. Rob Bironas of the Titans to Wray
199. Connor Barth of the Bucs to Snes
200. Mike Goodson of the Raiders to theFatOne
201. Garret Hartley of the Saints to Fox
202. Jason Hanson of the Lions to Act
203. Jonathan Dwyer of the Steelers to Chan
204. Jerome Simpson of the Vikings to Lary
205. Montario Hardesty of the Browns to Sanjuro
206. Heath Miller of the Steelers to Milchjon
207. Bengals Defense to Dutch
208. Alex Henery of the Eagles to Wes
209. Russell Wilson of the Seahawks to Greg
210. Matt Bryant of the Falcons to BlackGhost
Since I didnt look at the whole teams when I wrote this brief review, I didnt see what kind of rosters were put together (thatll come later). So for this round, every pick that is a backup defense, a backup kicker, a third Tight End, or a third quarterback is terrible. Best pick is Montario Hardesty. Im fairly certain Trent Richardsons knee ligaments will melt at some point this year, as the Cleveland Curse must go on, so Hardesty will be out there.
