It's a little uneven at first, but it improves a fair bit during the season. The season is only 8 half-hour episodes, so it isn't a huge commitment.

Agreed. I knew it was going to be his "House" moment, but dear god it was hilarious.. compounded with the fact that they were up all night continuing to work on it.. goddamn.

the whole scene in the hotel is amazing but the funniest part is when they cut back and someone says "he's been in there for 2 hours" and you realise everyone else spent that time working on the crowd jerking problem and the whiteboards are filled with diagrams of dicks.

I feel like I missed something. He rewrites the code so it can compress everything. I got confused at the end where he says it compressed the whole file, and not just half of it. Were they impressed because uses less resources than before?

Conventional compression would have made it double the size, with his new method it allows for it to be half of what was the standard.

They mention earlier in the episode that they were having issues with 3D video files, so when it turned out that a 3D file was chosen for compression they panicked because they'd never gotten it to work with those before. After the compression hung up for a few seconds and completed they figured they'd just failed again, but it turns out it worked even better than they thought it would.

I really hope Mean Jerk Time becomes a rating for something. When is this game coming out? Well the MJT would be a year and the T2O should be 3rd quarter next year.

It is funny because I have never enjoyed Mike Judge animated shows, but everything the man does live action is amazing for me.

The relationship between Richard and Monica is so expected and so forced and really lame. But I guess they had to force it in the final episode in case there wasn't a season 2.
First season was meh but okay and some parts were funny. Richard hurts the show more than he helps it, but the supporting characters are good, I just don't know if a series can be completely built around someone who has no personality in his character.

Yeah this is one of the only things that has really rubbed me the wrong way in this show. It's a bummer that every comedy series these days seems to have to force a relationship into it, seemingly ever since the office did it.
But even if this was the only season they would still be back where they were before, not dating because they work together. I think the renewal came after the episode was filmed.
Actually it was supposed to be even more impressive than that, since the 2.89 score was a new record made just the day before, made with his old code, and his new code shattered it. Richard expected it to be double the size and that was already supposed to be impressive.

except that was not what was happening in the slightest. she asked him out after she thought his company was about to become a failure.
which is even more stupid because i dunno what the hell she saw in him. he can't even look her in the eye for more than a second and also just seems rude. any of the other guys would have had more success pulling her.
