Skyward Sword review thread [Newest Reviews - Cubed3 10/10, GC: A, AusGamers: 7/10]

okay guys, so now that it's ten minutes away, i just want to make one last plea for some kind of... some kind of sanity. when people don't agree with you about the game you haven't played yet and give it a good or great score instead of an excellent one, please don't go off the rocker.

Sincerity. What the fuck is going on.

The real issue with the train was that you couldn't draw your tracks like originally intended, the overworld was boring, and the train was slow. It could have been neat, if not ideal. It turned out to be fairly blah.

I still did every sidequest in the game. I'm not sure how/why either.
This is true but at the same time the sense of practically is kind of enjoyable to me.

I know that sounds weird, but it kind of challenges me to be patient and deal with the tedium at the cost of it being a genuinely unique gameplay mechanic to the genre. It's kind of the same reason why I love sailing in Wind Waker. Sailing in Wind Waker feels like you're sailing, and the train in Spirit Tracks feels like you're riding a train.

Just letting you backwards people know, it's been 11/11/11 for ~19 hours already.

Don't tease the Americas. They struggle to understand big words like 'backwards'.

i cant believe people are expecting so many 10d :P
way to hold back your expectations haha.

I for one am glad my expectations are quite in check this time. Ill surely enjoy the game quite a bit this way.

I've pretty much decided to go on a killing spree if this game doesn't get 10's across the board.

Just imagine what would happen if SS ends up being the worst rated console Zelda game in existence.

review embargo being lifted

Thanks. Thought it was already up when I saw the title about twelve hours ago (haven't been online since). I'll just check back tomorrow... thought it was something bigger given the reaction.

I'm going to blog and rage to the entire world if Skyward Sword is not declared the greatest piece of interactive entertainment in the history of ever. Count on it.
