Ppl are saying they don't charge til they ship, but I would think they would at least put a Pending charge on the card. I guess we'll see.

I got myself a NES Classic and then sold it to one of my friends for retail price thinking I'd get another one and never did. Hopefully this time I can just get them one as well to make sure guilt doesn't make history repeat itself.

You know, at this point, with what a cluster fuck this is, I DO believe them. I have two friends who work different hours than me and were all on the lookout for when these go up. So if they can get me one, great. If I can get them one, great. I do think a lot of people out there are doing this. Sure, some are scalpers but even one dude in here ordered 68 and he's selling them to gaffers at cost just to cut out scalpers.

AFAIK, PAL/NTSC only exist as analogue methods. Anything digital (HDMI for instance) should not matter at all.

I think it's less about what the product is and more about what it means. My brother and I grew up playing this system. It holds a lot of sentimental value for us and I would've loved to get him one as a gift. Plus the fact that this is the only place Nintendo has ever released Starfox 2 is hugely frustrating, considering the supply constraints.
In a general sense, Nintendo's refusal to stock products properly deserves all the scrutiny and negativity that it gets.

region locking normally works for games via systems + disks.
The only other way I could think it might be possible is through dhcp, but don't think there is anything region locking in that.
This is just box + hdmi + tv. Previously confirmed they would have the 60fps versions of the games on the pal snes classic, so that shouldn't be an issue either.
