Busy helping my kid move this weekend, but I smoked Kielbasa with a little Jack Daniel’s rub, and a little brush of Killer Hogs BBQ sauce this week.

I noticed from the original thread OP that GT7 looks much darker in the comparison video. It basically hides imperfections better as a result. One could easily play with the video settings and make the Forza video equally dark. Not sure if it would change anything but the comparison video needs to compare them at equal brightness.

The unrealistic contrast in GT is an artistic decision for dramatic effect and looks appealing, which is why some think it looks "better".

having spent some time as a mod, I can speculate that the ban might have been based more on a pattern of behavior, rather than that specific post per se. Sometimes a mod (or a mod team) develops a perception that a particular poster is a fanboy, a console warrior, or whatever. After that, sometimes the trigger gets pulled earlier for that guy than it would someone else. The threshold is lower. They're on a "shorter leash," let's say. That's particularly true if the person has a previous record of being a problem. I don't know if any of that is true of you, Dench, I'm just speaking in general terms.

And there it is. You have a long history of console warrioring. You've developed a reputation with the moderators for that, and you're on a short leash because of it.

Thanks for responding. Can you actually post what I put please because I can't remember using the word destroys. I admit 100% that if I wrote that in a way your post implies that it would be bad. I need to see the context.

I honestly thought I just said it looks leagues ahead. In what context did I write destroys. Did I actually write it destroys gt7? That is extreme and I apologise if that's what I put.

I have received warnings and I have tried to improve my posting to be a better contributer.

I promise you I have not done this as a soap box, I made posts to the contact page very early on to discuss things and to improve my posts but I have never received a response.

I think it would be better at this point to just fold your hand. Because, first, you've been "outed" as someone with more warnings than almost anyone else on the site. That's saying something. And second, you misrepresented what you actually said in the deleted post. You can't even remember what you said. Continuing on at this point is silly (although the thread is entertaining).

I think it's okay to challenge or question mods. You just need to bring receipts, and you don't do it like this -- making a public thread about it where you misrepresent (and can't even remember) what you actually said, and not mentioning your long rap sheet.

Not trying to pick a fight at all. Trying to better my posting habbits and wanted to discuss it with them, but all of my messages from the start of joining this site have been ignored. .... If I said something over the line, I wanted to understand it and better myself but getting hit with a straight Fanboy diss made me finally post the thread after receiving numerous warnings and thread bans. Shit, I'm not perfect, no one is but it doesn't mean my intention is foul.

If you genuinely want to "better your posting habits," as you say, I'll give you my two cents as a former mod (elsewhere). Before you post, ask yourself if what you are saying could be construed as being unfairly aligned with one console or another. Ask yourself if your language is inflammatory in any way. Remember that you are on a short leash, so what may be a simple opinion coming from someone else may be seen as more evidence of console warrioring by you. "When in doubt, leave it out" is probably a good motto to adopt, for anything that treads into console war space.

Anyways the tag got removed and when I made a fuss about it getting wiped some mod claimed pedophile tags only lasted for 48 hours.

The point is, and this is important, back then this place was freewheeling enough that a mod could give someone a pedophile tag for shits and giggles and nobody cared. You wanna have fun? You want a forum where people can fuck around and laugh at each other doing dumb shit, then stuff like that should not only be acceptable but welcomed. When I logged in and saw my tag I didn’t cry. I didn’t run to that mod to complain. I laughed my ass off and played along with it, because that’s what guys do. Basically if you don’t want a forum full of cops then take the laughs and tell the whiners to go fuck themselves

There is clearly something going on with a moderator on here that has a personal vendetta against me. I posted a comment in the forza vs gt7 thread that stated that forza looked a lot better than gt7 in the video asamsapple posted and within 50 seconds my post was deleted and i was thread banned. I've attempted to contact moderation multiple times to request a conversation and no one responds.

My post was deleted with the comment "you're trying too hard, fanboy". I mean really, what is that? We see horrific comments towards other members, and craziness all day but a comment about forza looking better on one video gets me banned from a thread within seconds.

I know the joke is why post a thread, just message moderation. I have done it multiple times. I have never been banned on this site but seem to be getting an increasing amount of thread bans and warnings.

Anyone got any ideas of how I can work through this with the moderation team, or who else I can contact?
