Sons of Anarchy - Season 5 - Tuesdays on FX

Jax should just kill him and be like, sorry bros he did it club4lyfe kekekeke.

He needs to pull a Rick Grimes and turn this shit into a dictatorship. A violent outburst where he kills clay followed by an epic speech to the rest of the group should do. Actually how awesome would that be?

Hamlet's diddle dallying was his fatal flaw too and that theme seems to keep carrying over. Referring to Clay to be made to feel like a king reinforces the Hamlet connections. I wouldn't be surprised if Tara dies by going crazy driving herself into the ocean, and if Jax kills Clay while dying from a gunshot wound.

I love how like in every scene where Jax or someone else murders someone everyone kind of gives each other a look like, "Damn they crazy."

Jax is getting real cold though. Ope was right. Head of the table changes you. Won't be long before Jax starts going the way of Clay. He pretty much already is really.

I wonder how long they can keep prolonging the inevitable with Clay now that Chibs and Bobby are aware of his activities. This is past being a drag on the show.

Obviously there's more to this than Jax simply using Gemma to get Clay's dirty secrets.

Can't imagine him and Tara ever trusting Gemma again. And Jax must know that Clay will be suspicious of him asking Clay to cozy up to Gemma.

I think maybe Jax expects the opposite of them growing close. Maybe he wants them to get together but start fighting. Hmm I'm not sure, but Jax is smart enough to know how Clay and Gemma would react to his visits, and he knows them well enough to predict what will really happen.

Sutter, what do you have planned!?!

Will someone please kill Gemma, I'm 5 minutes in the episode and I already can't stand her. Seriously.

Can someone gif the part where Gemma gets smacked in the face by Tara?

Terra already cast Gemma out at the star of the season, not even letting her see the children at the daycare. Why oh why we needed that accident shit when we got back to square one?

It wouldn't have changed anything in Jax's plan. Wanna be allowed to be with the kids? Do this.
Why does this show has to bring everything to death or near-death situations in order for the characters make their mind up and stick with a decision that they had all the right to before.

What the hell happened with Frankie in the last scene? He got the keys for the car and forced Chibbs with him. So WHO the FUCK was in it honking?! And why doesn't Frankie knock Chibbs out, get in the car and drive away. WAS IS HE RUNNING ON FOOT WHEN HE TOOK A CAR?! GET INSIDE, DRIVE OUT OF THE STATE. WHO WAS HONKING AND WHY DIDNT FRANKIE THROW HIM OUT?!

Sorry for the caps.

very good episode, but does anyone else feel that the rest of the sons aren't happy with how jax is dealing with certain issues.
the chopping of the hands and the shooting of the man on the roof
are just two recent examples where those with him seem almost shocked by his actions.

maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think this is going to come up at some point in the future. it doesn't feel like it can continue as it is.

there was another car with the guy honking, frankie ran to that car and got in off screen. he left miguel prados truck behind with the flat tire.

I think they remain loyal to jax they're just surprised at how cold he is becoming.

you're right, but I do think it will become a issue at some point. maybe when it's revealed that clay has been behind the attack against jax and the rico case.

they're not alone. I'm really shocked by how cold he's become since opie died. I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back for him. there's no going back for him now, I think he knows that and the dream of a life away from it all is just that, a dream, but he wants to cling to that dream to stop himself from becoming completely lost.

Third week in a row my DVR hasn't recorded this. The last two weeks I was lucky to catch it in time, not this time. Not sure why it's doing it either, not conflicted, plenty of space and everything. Will just have to wait for on demand.

It could be your DVR. I had the same problem not too long ago and Direct TV sent me a new one.

So basically Gemma smokes dope for 30 years and suddenly can't handle it anymore, ends up driving her SUV into a fucking barrier like a retard and totally ruining Jax's and Gemma's trust.

Jax is slaving his mom out as a whore to get to Clay.

I love this show.

I'm really eager to see just what Jax has planned. I have no idea where this is going or what effect this will have on Clay and Gemma. I know one thing, if it wasn't obvious before Gemma is now truly dead to Tara. And she has no one to blame but herself.

I'm glad Chibs didn't bite the bullet. I honestly thought Frankie was going to kill him. I think Nero is my favorite new character this season. Smits is doing nice work.

The chase and shootout every week always plays out exactly like a GTA mission lol. So awesome.

Jax is a ruthless mofo now. I remember season 1 he couldn't even kill anyone and now he's as bad as Clay.

Also don't think Juice is gonna make through the season.

I hope not. I loathe the character.

Yea. Seriously weak how that all played out. Out of all the ways they could have manufactured drama that was the least appealing.

I'm surprised Gemma hasn't been killed already. Bitch has been lucky to get this far after all the screw ups she's done to herself.

Praying so hard for a Gemma/Clay dual-death this season.

Getting so tired of both of their characters. Bleh.

Seriously, I feel like they've exhausted just about every angle with these two. My eyes will roll out of their sockets if they find another excuse to keep Clay alive when this season is over.

all caught up, can finally post here! man i know it wasnt likely but if Chibbs ate it, i'd be out. love that dude, and god knows opie was hard enough (what page are the reactions to that? i gotta see em)

Pope. The villain that's not really a villain. Good character.

He's okay, but Jimmy Smits is the real guest star VIP of the season. Such a damn good actor.

i'm with both of you guys, great guest spots this season. right up there with seeing shane do her thing, haha

I hope not. I loathe the character.

aw man how can you hate juice? i dunno, i just thought he got dumb going from "clay's up to some ill shit" to "LEMME TELL THIS FOOL EVERYTHING"

Here are the loglines for the previous episodes this season:

Jax presides over SAMCRO as a series of events begins to unravel Charming.

Jax and SAMCRO are challenged as past sins resurface.

A desperate situation tests familial and club bonds.

Complications arise as the Sons band together to face a new adversary.

Jax attempts to pull SAMCRO into a new business venture.

Jax brings a new proposal to the club with serious consequences.

Jax takes matters into his own hands as things go sideways.

Alliances are tested, while bonds are broken.
I think the one about the new business venture is the only one that's specific enough to tie to a particular episode.

Can anyone confirm that tonight's episode will be 15 minutes longer and that the rest of the episodes this season will be 90 minutes each? I don't know if this has been talked about yet, but I can't seem to find any solid info... my Google skills may be slipping.

My predictions for the night:

- Jax is conflicted
- Tara does something stupid
- Gemma does something stupid
- Clay manipulates someone(s)
- Pope offers some wise words
- Nero (see above)

Don't forget:

- At least three different people say, "Jeeeeezzuuus Chrrryyyssstt."
- The club members are attacked while riding. None of them are hurt in the resulting chase/shootout.
- Juice acts like a bitch.
- Jax does something violent, then in the next scene holds his kids and hugs Tara.
- Happy gives a creepy nod of approval to someone.
- Phil gets ignored.

BTW, does anyone else miss them saying, "Cartel shit"? I loved that last season LOL.

Tonight is about 1:13 and next week is about 1:30 according to the DVR listings. I don't know much beyond that.
