This show will do everything to keep Jax, Tara and the kids in Charming; no matter what.
Sutter will do everything to keep his wife relevant in the show; no matter what.

Have Clay tested for GSR; that should cast a doubt on his involvement.
Gemma's word is just that; why would Terra get convicted if that's the only 'evidence'? And why does Tara lie and take it when she has a bomb of their own to threat Gemma with? No logic.
Why did Otto cut his tongue? You can just not say anything, you know. Or made up whatever you want..

Marks wasn't with Pope even though he's his right-hand man and have appeared with him every time this season.

And please help me with nonsense of the documents Clay ordered to be stolen. How dumb can the writing get. Why wouldn't he just ask Gemma for them? She wouldn't deny him. But he goes and steals them and keep them in his house which acts as a 'smoking gun' evidence of him being behind the robberies!

Although it won't happen it needs to stressed: please get rid of Gemma. Shameless Sutter.

This show is pretty poor now and with two more seasons to go is only going to get worse.

A few people above have outlined the deficiencies of this season so I won't go over it again, but seriously, the whole concept had about 3 good seasons worth of stuff. Everything else is just crap now.

How many times can Jax...AHH, never mind, i said i wasn't going to go on a rant.

disappointing finale. really pissed off that clay and especially tig live to see yet another season. just where can these shells go now? their stories are done, especially tig. I don't care about the character any more, he's annoying and totally ruins any scene he's in now.

my main disappointment is that jax didn't give tig up. this is the man whose actions led to your best friend being killed in the most heinous way imaginable and you save him? man, you're a dumb mother-fucker. speaking of, who didn't see the double cross coming? suddenly, pope is all alone after his bodyguard is with him in almost every other scene? telegraphed much?

the otto scene. just what in the hell was the point of him biting his tongue off? what purpose did it serve? and surprise, surprise. tara seems to have gotten off scott free from her actions a few episodes ago, but wait...here comes gemma with the blackmail, but then that was expected. no wait, now she's under arrest. oh lord!

really getting tired of this safe route the show keeps taking. I thought things were looking up when opie died, but they've regressed since then. it's a shame.

don't mind me though, I'm just really pissed off today and probably being overly harsh.

next season tig should die in the season premiere, swiftly followed by juice who attempts to break clay out of prison, end the episode with vlay getting stabbed to death in retaliation for the death of pope.

that's the only way to redeem the show in my opinion. get rid of some of the dead weight.

only way to redeem this show is to have clay, young clay, gemma and young gemma all get shot in the face with a 12 gauge by Happy and Chibs.

Done, I'll take that. No chance of that happening though.

The question I have is, do any of the writers actually believe that any of the viewers sympathize with Jax at all?

It's been clear from the first episode of the show that he is the one we are supposed to sympathize with, yet he has no redeeming qualities at all. All of his character development has served to turn him into a complete douche at every turn.

A counterpoint to Jax is Vic Mackie from The Shield. Totally evil, complete Bastard, but we as an audience were given many reasons to sympathize and even empathize with him. Even up to the last moment you had to feel something for him, even though you knew there was no good in him and he was a completely selfish man.

Jax on the other hand has been forced down our throats by the writers as the "good guy". It's almost as if they forgot to give us a reason to cheer for him. At this point, I would be surprised if there was anyone in the audience who would be sad if Jax died a horrible death.

The other major problem I have is with the number of story lines that have completely been left behind unresolved. Gemma was totally made to look implicit in the death of John teller, yet that has been forgotten about. WTF? The real story of the death of John Teller was the central arc of the show for so long and now we don't even care about it any more!

As I said previously, shit writing and a show that has long outstayed its welcome and has completely lost its way.

...and I said I wouldn't go on a rant.

I think I'm done. To me everything had wrapped up. I really don't care about "the extended universe of Tara".

really don't to live in Charming where everything happens right on cue. LOL

Tara leaving... flowers delivered to Gemma (not at Tara's work or House) fuck that
Pitbul fighter owner gets bitten by dog. !!!!
Clay forgives Juice. Police knocks
Tara gets arrested. Baby cries.

The point wasn't really to get Clay sent to prison, although the fact that puts SAMCRO in good with Roosevelt doesn't hurt, the point was to get a hit put out on him.

Eh, it's a TV show and it entertains. A little cheesy, but not bad. I'm just hoping Clay finally bites it next year and I actually wouldn't mind a little action for Tara behind bars hehe.

After watching Boardwalk Empire amazing finale, this was painful.

I don't understand why Tara didn't say to Jax it was Gemma that called the cops. Will we have to wait 6 episodes for it to come out of her damn mouth? And oh my god, the acting in this show is getting worse.

The only decent part was the scenes with Pope. And Clay's face when he got caught.

Goddamn it I promised myself I'd never watch another episode of this show if Clay didn't die by the finale. We'll see if I hold out. I was out this season but I caved at episode 6 when I heard it was good so far.

You get arrested. You know who did it and you know your husband can make the person withdraw her statement. You just stay in shock?

You're being arrested. You're afraid, you want a wait out of the situation. Of course you tell your husband abour her shitty mother before getting taken away to the police station.

But I won't bitch about it anymore than I already did.
This show entertains me when I'm bored for less than an hour. I don't really expect anything amazing from it.

Perhaps it wasn't Gemma? Donal Logue's character may have bugged Tara's office and caught the part where Gemma was threatening Tara with the info.

Yes but from Tara's point of view, it has to be Gemma.
If it's not her, it's even worse writing. That means that the character isn't reacting in a believable way just for the sake of a plot she's isn't even aware of.

Even if Tara told Jax right then, it wouldn't have mattered, she's still going to be arrested and charged. And probably not a good idea to mention stuff in front of the police. She'll tell him and the lawyer and they'll figure it out. I'm thinking it was Logue by Gemma's reaction, though.

I also thought it was really cheesy and melodramatic that Otto bit his tongue off. The dude can still write and sign a written statement, I think Otto is just Sutter's fantasy alter ego or something, where he's this hardcore dude, I dunno.

What's hilarious is that it's not even the first time this season Gemma intercepts and opens something being delivered to Tara/Jax. Remember the marriage certificate?

I said it in a previous post, it's breaking the show the lengths Kurt goes to to keep his wife relevant.

It's so obviously not Gemma who did this.

So obvious how? All signs point to her doing it. Threatening Tara and then overhearing the convo between Jax and Nero sealed it. She knew he was going to more than likely try to leave. And she just happens to show up to the house as Tara is being taken away....of course it was her

I don't think it was Gemma. The writers tried to set her up that way, but there's probably other person behind. I bet it was the Marshall's work.

That said, I liked that this season ended with a small note. Way too many shows try to keep their watchers loyal with the craziest cliffhangers.

Watched last night and the episode left me with a whole lot of.....but...but...buts. I enjoyed the show, but as numerous people have mentioned, the amount of things that had to line up to pull off some if these storylines is far to big of a stretch.

My biggest question was Gemma. What was her plan with Clay if the cops didn't show up? Are we to believe that she was actually going to go to Ireland with him? Why would she do that when she's clearly with Nero, and has always maintained that she doesn't want to be separated from her grandchildren? Furthermore, what happened to the plan/deal she had with Jax and Tera to get back at Clay for the robberies? That was supposed to be twofold: 1.) Payback for whipping her ass and busting up their home; 2.) Repenting for the car crash and getting back level with Tera. What the fuck happened to that plan? The Portland job and move? Really?

All the other shit (Tigs & Pope, Juice & Clay, Otto) seemed par for the series to me, so I wasn't that shocked that that's how Sutter decided to handle those threads. To end the season with Tera as the focal point though was a miss.

Also, Otto is clearly fucking insane at this point and just wants to troll everyone that he can before he dies.

If the hit is real, Clay is going to die before he gets fingerprinted. I'm guessing Clay isn't going to be able to fight off waves of attackers especially after what the club did to piss off the prison guards and the fact that his only allies are the Irish who likely have no connections in the prison.

Gemma's words confirm a motive for Tara to want that nurse dead. Obviously Tara benefits from Otto's RICO testimony being thrown out as it would send her husband to jail. It doesn't matter at this point if Tara tells Jax the whole truth about how Gemma may have been involved in his father's death, as it seems that Gemma doesn't really have anything to live for if she can't see her grandkids.

And Otto cut his tongue off because he's fucking crazy, this way he doesn't have to worry about potentially breaking or just getting really bored by all the questioning.

If Marks was with Pope, then he would also died. It doesn't make any difference as it's all going to be blamed on a rogue member anyways. It's just easier from a writing standpoint if you don't have to introduce a new character when the change of leadership occurs.

I'm guessing the reason Clay has those documents is that they have some unknown information on it that is important. If he gets caught with them, they do confirm that he masterminded the home invasions but he had to have the safe stolen to make the home invasion look real.

She can't tell him anything right in front of the cops. Next season, we'll see Jax either kill Gemma or figure out a way to convince her to admit she was lying. Or maybe Tara will die in prison before Jax gets a chance to visit her but I doubt Gemma has any way of arranging that (although the nurse's brother might make that happen).

I'm guessing the nurse's brother will play a big role in how Clay and Tara make it through prison as he wants revenge against all the people still connected to the club.

Speaking of the nurse, it just dawned on me that this season could basically be called "Sons of Anarchy: We Murder Innocent Women":

Tig's daughter
Prison guard's wife
Sheriff's wife
Nurse

But it's okay, they were appalled by dog fighting, so they're still likeable...

Well, if they would cut any character who's stories are done they could cut pretty much the whole cast. Tara and Gemma have been replaying the same storyline for a couple of seasons now, Clay should have died seasons ago (if he survives this...), Juice and Tigs have no purpose left. And to be honest, the only reason I like Chibs is because the actor plays the character so great, he's hardly the most interesting person.

The show has some good moments (Jax setting up Clay was pretty awesome), but to be honest, Jimmy Smits and Donal Logue are probably the most interesting people left. This could have been a great 3 or possibly 4 season show, there's not nearly enough interesting material and character work to stretch it to 7 seasons.

Tig being enamored by Venus Van Damme is still one of my favorite moments of the show. So fucked up.

Fucking love Tig.
