I'm confused

Trig killed Donna and started a gang war which, among other things, resulted in Opie's death, but he gets to live because...what?

Tig had to go with whatever Jax said after his bullshit got Opie killed. After a while he got back in Jax good graces.

Unser and juice were amazing in this. Juice had some great lines with the sherif haha.
And ugh yeah please stop putting segal in your shows. She's great in this but let's not go the way of rob zombie

This episode was great. Finally some stuff happened. Finally people acted intelligent again. There wasn't any pointless filler shit. Also I thought the jazz music worked well for that scene and added a touch of class to it. Much better than the usual metal they play. The secret is out and I'm so damn happy about it. Now to see how it plays out these last 2 episodes. I'll still go with my prediction that everyone dies except Gema and she has to live with the guilt of what she did.

Whoever picked that song for the car chase...I hope they are looking for a new career

That was hilarious.

Really good work by Charlie Hunman, Jimmy Smits, and Katey Sagal. I guess if this ends with Jax losing his patch (don't think he dies, they'll tease it though) and Gemma meeting Mr. Mayhem, I'll be ok with that.

All in all, I thought it was pretty moving. Felt pretty bad for a lot of the characters, even though they're awful people. Looking forward to the resolution.

Yay, shit actually happened. I was gonna be so fucking pissed if Juice just said "sorry, I can't tell you anything." Hunnam got some great scenes.

Also, fuck Unser. Shut your goddamn mouth already. You being a busybody who can't stop running your mouth is what got Tara killed, and now it's what lets Gemma continue to live. Just let the cancer take over.

Revealing Baroski as the rat had no impact whatsoever. Him doing it over money? Meh.

Gemma wishing for Abel to join the club. Ahahaha. She sure hasn't learned anything.

Yoooo, we got our first genuinely good episode this season and it was full of great emotional scenes! Thank you to Robocop for directing this one.

wait that guy in the jail is Marilyn Manson ?

I chuckled at Adriana saying I can't keep secrets it will kill me

I bet Kurt sutter was watching homeland when he decided on jazz music .. so much shit on this show can be traced back to what Kurt sutter has watched recently from casting to whatever

no one even seemed surprise when jax told them gemma killed tara lol

Wow...didn't even think about Barosky whatsoever.

Unfortunately there was zero shock value with that revelation.

This show has probably the worst music of any show I've ever seen. The songs used in the montages that seem to be at the end of almost every episode seem to be trolling they're so laughably bad. One of them a few weeks back was a cover so appalling that it had me vomiting blood from my ears.

Granted, Unser has always had a weak spot for Gemma because she keeps him on the hook, but damn, that scene in the TM office destroyed whatever credibility Unser had left. He came in, sat down and just spieled off everything like a gossipy old granny.

Shouldn't really be surprised though, Gemma's plot armour for 7 seasons has always been based on being in the right place at the right time (intercepting other people's packages, spotting people in town, overhearing conversations etc).

Whoever picked that song for the car chase...I hope they are looking for a new career

I think (and I could be wrong) they were trying to emulate car chases from the 60's/70's with the music and cheesily sped up playback speed. It was just really poorly handled and completely out of place considering what just happened.

Finally the secret is out. Robocop being the rat wasn't too surprising. Someone here theorized it.

Tig's comment about needing to patch in another Jew to do the books since Bobby is gone was pretty funny.

I liked the jazz playing through the chase scene. It worked. I liked how they used that SRT (or maybe R/T. It was debadged so I couldn't totally make it out) Challenger. The cop seeing that van a mile away and then slamming into it was retarded.

Charlie had some damn good scenes in this. Very emotional. I don't blame Unser for exploding. He's always kept in the dark and lied to.

We should start making guesses as to who lives and dies in these last 2 episodes. I guessed it 100% right with Breaking Bad. Gotta see if I'll go 2 for 2!

Any particular reason why they showed where Gemma was going (besides letting the audience know)? I can't remember where Nero's new place is or if any of the three places have been brought up on the show before.

Anyhoo, if Gemma actually dies, hopefully Nero does it.

Also, anyone else think Robocop being the rat is a lie? Seems way too lazy.
yes I know

Gemma: Listening to Juice

Jax with Wendy: Finding out Juice was in her flat, Finding out Unser was helping Gemma and Juice

Jax with Juice: Tears starting, Learning about Gemma and Tara Part 1, Part 2

Nero: Finding out from Jax, Looking at Gemma, Why jiggle, Doesn't know what to say, Sitting down on the curb, Crying/scratching arm

Tig: Eyes rolling back

Great episode. The only good episode of the season. Kind of sad when you think about it.

Asians got screwed so badly this season. Did nothing wrong and lost everything.

I almost felt sorry when Jax teared up when he spoke with Juice in prison, but then I remembered Jax is still very much a brutal, murderous bastard whose family problems have been a constant pain in the ass to the club's business activities. Juice should have told him to fuck off.

As annoying as Unser has become these last two seasons, as a viewer his dig at Jax in the garage was cathartic as hell. Someone had to call him on his bullshit.

Damn good episode, Sutter really should have let Weller direct the whole season....

Charlie Hunnam really knocked it out of the park this episode. He sold the man on verge of breaking flawlessly.

I thought it was interesting that Jax told Wendy to take care of our boys. Guess he's on board with Wendy being the mother to both? She pretty much is at this point, but I felt him saying it signalled a point where he's starting to see a life after Gemma for him and his boys....at bloody last I might add.

At fucking last. Juice finally spills the fucking beans. At fucking last!!!! Goddamn, that felt great. To finally have it all out in the open. So stupid it took this long, really should have happened when they found him a few episodes back instead of dragging it out so long. Still, it made for a fantastic scene, so there's that I guess.

So Lin's dead. Can't say I really care.

So the cop is the rat? Okay then. I'm not even going to question it at this point, just get it out of the way and move on. .

Not surprised that Gemma would bail. Coward that she is. Why the hell is Chucky even helping her? WHY? When did she suddenly become his best friend? What the fuck....

And it's not surprising that Nero would go running when she calls. Still, that look he gives her during the call and asking her afterwards. He genuinely looked heartbroken and then breaking down afterwards. Smits sold that scene perfectly. All his plans up in smoke in a hot second. Dude needs a hug.

Dat Unser verbal beatdown. Annoying it was Unser, but it was a long, long time coming.

Oh my god at the music during the car chase. I don't want to say I hated it, but it was certainly an interesting choice from the usual rock stuff. The chase itself was well done, probably one of the best chase scenes we've had in a while.

The final scene with Nero and Jax was fantastic. Jax finally letting it all out. Man, what a scene.

God, I cannot wait for Jax to find her. She can't get away from this, there has to be a confrontation and resolution.

What was the significance of showing the sign at the end?

I actually felt a little bit sorry for her at that moment. She so desperately wanted to believe she did some good, but it was clear she caused nothing but misery for Jax.

The scene I really lost it was when Chucky said she was his best friend and she said she understood. What the fuck?

That was great. I am so glad they didn't somehow delay the revelation any further. Hunnam was excellent. I almost felt bad for him when he first talked to Juice. Really excited to see how they finish this out now that something actually happened this episode.

Baransky being the rat was the most anti-climactic thing ever though. I had like zero reaction to that reveal. Oh well. Otherwise this was really good.

I would have enjoyed that speech coming from anyone else but Unser. He's as much a piece of garbage as anyone on this show.

Oh sure, I still don't know how in the hell he's still alive, but it was very nice to see someone go off on Jax and call him on all his bullshit.

I would have preferred it be Nero though. Would have been perfect.

The cop being the rat felt so lazy. I don't even know what to think of it. Such a stupid resolution. It's like they needed something to give Weller to do for the finale and this was the best they could come up with.

That was a good episode. Hunnam brought it home with that final scene. Very powerful.

That car chase scene though. Hilarious.

I loved that she responded with his old "I accept that." tagline. Nice little callback.

Edit: I thought the car chase was fun. I figured it was an homage (to what, exactly, I didn't know) but Weller confirmed it was a nod to Bullit

One thing I'll rate the show on (although it's too little too late for his character) is Jax taking responsibility for all the violence and damage to the club and not saying some bullshit like "I can't believe what Gemma caused me to do!". During his conversation with Juice I thought that was the direction Jax was going when he mentioned Bobby's murder.

So, what's the over/under on Jax finding out about his father's murder too? Think the show will pick back up that massive thread which partially drove the first 5 seasons? I doubt they will, Sutter seems to be setting up Jax to meet Mayhem and Gemma surviving - that can't 'realistically' happen if Jax knows the truth about both murders.

Refresh my memory, what was that a callback to?

Something Chucky said in a past season?

Great scene at the end between Jax and Nero there. Charlie did a really good job on selling his emotional breakdown the entire episode, was just really impressed overall.

Watched the show with my sister and she was bawling her eyes out when Jax started crying. I'm going to be incredibly unhappy if this show somehow ends with Gemma getting away with everything.

There's no way Jax dies. Sutter's over the top hero worship of Jax is so extreme I just can't believe that possibility.

Too little too late for me.

I watched the whole thing with absolute contempt.

So many good actors have had to try to deliver decent peformances despite the shit they are given to work with.

Why did it take so long to get to this point?

Unser talking shit like he didn't dispose of the dead body of an innocent motel keeper Juice capped out of sheer paranoia.
Unser did that to bait Jax into punching him so he could put out the assault APB, right? His hands are by no means clean (plenty of blood and stupidity on them), but it was a clever move to tie Jax up if that was his intention.

That might be giving him too much credit, but let's presume he did it on purpose.

I hate Unser. Such an annoying ass character.

Unser is the only person who called Jax out. Unser saying what he said is what people in this thread have been screaming this whole season. He called out the stupidity. Best part of the show besides the end scene with Nero and Jax. It also looked like the biproduct of that was to get Jax off the street. Felt like Unser did that on purpose too.
