The only way that ending would be worth it is if Future Able gets on a
hover
bike.

It'll be equal parts ridiculous and Sutter acknowledging his show is as 'serious' a drama as Eastbound and Down.

The EB&D ending was amazing. First thing I thought of after your Future Abel line.

At the start of this season, my guess was that Jax would murder Gemma in a fit of rage and end up in prison for life, but now I'm not so sure.

One of the best series endings put on the small screen - the whole final season was fantastic.

You better have some news on the new McBride/HBO series soon, we're relying on you Cornballer for something to wash out the taste of SoA's finale.

I honestly didn't put the pieces together, I was more stunned by how stupid everyone was suddenly acting.

I hope you're not right though, that would be such a cop out ending.

It really would. I remember hearing there were rumors that Jesse Pinkman would appear in this season and as soon as I heard them I thought "boom, adult Abel". Not sure about that, but the feeling that they'd have a flash-forward at some point in the future stuck with me.

Oh fuck, it's all adding up:

Son's quorum votes Jax meets Mayhem.
Jax accepts it if it means the SAMCRO blowback ends there.
Jax convinces the crew to go along with it and insists they kill him themselves (there will be lots of Chibs tears)
Chibs takes over as pres

Flash forward 20 years

Future Able joins the Sons to find out more about his father and the mysterious way he died.
Pres Chibs is reluctant because he knows Jax wouldn't want it. Their relationship begins uneasy.
Wendy is the new Gemma.

Sutter gets his freshman-level 'poetic' and 'deep' ending. It's so Sutter that the Jesse Pinkman thing might able be considered a spoiler.

I didn't even realize the end of the show could be steering that way.

Gemma is the most despicable character on the show. The closer we get to the end, the more I think she's gonna skate. That her punishment will be knowing she got Jax Mayhem'd. The whole giving Abel the ring thing sets the stage for a stupid ass future scene with him wearing the ring and getting his cut. Thus the circle of life in SOA continues.

Well, I am now convinced that this is how it's going to play out. Never thought of the scenario.

I'll put my best guy on it.

FWIW:
Vanity Fair: You’ve worked with a wide range of actors on Sons from David Hasselhoff to Peter Weller, Jimmy Smits, Danny Trejo, Henry Rollins, and even Ashley Tisdale. As you head into your final season, is there one actor you always wanted to work with and were never able to get?

Sutter: I’ve been pretty lucky. I like to do my sort of quirky, out of the box casting each season which we’ve done this year with Marilyn Manson and there might be more coming down the pipe. I’ve had conversations with Aaron Paul. Someone had asked me in a Q&A about who I wanted to work with. I was a fan of Aaron and he was circling another project of mine [Sutter’s feature film Southpaw], so we had some email conversations about his availability. But dude’s booked up to 2048.

What the fuck? No new episode tonight? Man that suuuuuuuuucks.

-I'm kind of bitter about there not being a new episode tonight. I was looking forward to this all day.

oh boy...this episode and one more.

THEN IT'S OVER!!!

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH

(I think that covers all positions, right?)

Penultimate episode tonight:
Red Rose

With tensions mounting and truths finally revealed, Jax must make the ultimate decision
Tonight is scheduled for a 2hr 40 min timeslot, which presumably includes the after show. Episode should weigh in at a little over 2 hours including commercials.

2 goddamn hours?

We're nearly there. We're so close...so of course it's going to try and drag this out as much as possible.

Gemma covers 'Hurt' while montage shot of Jax being ambushed unfolds.

Thinking about this series it felt like at first it was going to be Jax finding the book, moving the club legit and away from guns, but then Breaking Bad happened and Sutter was like, fuck it, burn the book and let's go Scarface. It just really feels like it lost its way trying to be something its not.

I'm onboard for these last two though. Will just have to be really inebriated.

Giving you guys the heads up, don't click on the auction site if you don't want to get spoiled about a certain character.

Thanks for the heads up.

I wonder what it is? Gemma's hair after Jax finds and scalps her?

Oh my god, please no...

And yeah, I agree with that. Show went to shit after BB hit. It felt like it was being set up for Jax to take over all the way back in season 2 (weren't there promos where they racing towards each on bikes?), but then they went with that stupid ass baby kidnap plot and then Clay just stuck around for four more seasons while Sutter put his character through ever more degrading and torture porn shit.
