What beef would Nero have with Jax at this point? He did keep saying he had to get some stuff though to Wendy, which makes me think hes stocking up on weapons unless I missed something else. I was bored and not paying attention to most of the episode until Juice got shanked.

Just a hunch, and probably a poor one at that. Between
Jax killing Gemma
and Nero's line where he said that he needed to save Jax, it would kind of make sense that to save Jax means killing him. That way Jax can't bring more chaos and death to the people around him.

Saving Jax probably means he's going to go take out one of his rival gangs or try to by himself. People have always done stupid shit to try to save his family on this show.

I'm assuming Jax has some kind of
heart defect, and will die/be severely paralyzed by a stroke or heart attack.. They've been referencing Jemma's open heart surgery the last few episodes (her not being able to have more kids being referenced an episode or two back), including this episode when Chiklis randomly draws attention to her scar, and Jax randomly had a limp through out this episode.
Unless it was all symbolic.

i'm dying at how Jax just finally got some blood on his Air Forces with all the people he's killed.

edit: that Make It Rain song in the montage is hard. i didn't know Ed Sheeran could go in like that.

I'm a little disappointed Jax never found out about Gemma and Unser being complicit in JT's murder but I guess it wouldn't have added much in the end.

I don't think Jax is dying, I'll stick with my prediction in that regard.

Well it happened finally. Good riddance to Unser and Gemma, and bummer about Juice. The writers' continual shitting on his character for the last three seasons will always be the thing about this show that sticks in my craw the most.

I wonder what bylaw Jax wanted repealed. The only one they ever talked about on the show that I recall was the one that barred blacks from joining, but I wonder why he'd care about that. Unless the last episode is a love-in musical in which everyone in NorCal from the 9ers to the Aztecas will become a Son!

Do you guys watch The Walking Dead?

I was waiting for Jax to say #lookattheflowers.

I admit that, even though Gemma was a shit, I felt a tear trying to creep up.

That's it. Remember he wanted to patch in the Grimm Bastards? I'm pretty sure that's the bylaw he wanted changed.

Was nice to see Robert Patrick. Gotta get my fix of the liquid metal terminator / Special Agent Doggett.

Alrighty then.

- Gemma's gone. Huzzah.
- Unser's gone too. That kinda sucked. Jax just straight up iced him with no remorse. Seems he pretty much lost his soul finally. Unless he wanted to kill him because he knew Unser was hiding Gemma early on, but I doubt it.
- Speaking of which, way to show that you actually cared about Unser by not emoting whatsoever, Gemma, you stupid cow. I mean, holy shit, really.
- Feel really bad about Juice, but I honestly don't know what the fuck was up with him. Throughout the entire time I was expecting him to accept his fate getting killed, however, planning to shank Tully for all the ass poundings he got as a consolation prize, but that never came up. He got raped by Tully and the Chinese (and god knows who else) and just decided to just completely give up? Was this mindset because he really felt that guilty about causing Bobby's death? It just wasn't the way I was hoping Juice would go out.
- For all the hesitation and trepidation Jax felt prior to killing Gemma, it seems he got over that shit pretty easily. He kills his mom and bangs his (admittedly hot) Ex. What the fuck?
- Speaking of which, holy shit dat nightie.
- The thing with Connor seems like yet another needless plot contrivance from Sutter.
- Honestly surprised the episode didn't end on black right after Gemma got shot. Instead we got a fucking 8 minute long montage afterwards. Ugh.

Glad we have one more episode left.

If it wasn't for Tig and Venus I wouldn't watch the last episode.

thats the one, but i don't think it only applies to blacks joining. i think jax is setting up for chibs to be the new charter pres after he meets mr mayhem.

I'm glad Gemma is dead (and would never have guessed it would be before the last episode) but Sutter could not have made her death any less satisfying. Not the murder method, but how it happened - even in her last second alive she was telling Jax what to think/do. When she told him to do it, I would have preferred Jax to just walk away or leave a gun for Gemma to suicide with.

And Unser - fucking hell. He didn't even have the redeeming moment of realising his big, gossipy mouth is what got Tara killed and apologising to Jax or showing any remorse. He died as he lived - serving Gemma.

Juice. His final moment eating the dessert and informing Tully of the Triad plan (so his death by the wrong hands doesn't cause more problems for the club) would have actually been fitting if it happened a lot sooner. But more rape? Seriously?

That unwritten by-law vote is totally the no-black rule isn't it? Son's are going to patch in Theo Huxtable.

What are we guessing Jax's Mayhem will be? A simple bullet from Chibs? Something more dramatic/painful? There's no way SAMCRO is letting the Indian Hills VP do it.

I gotta say, the scene between Gemma and her father was pretty nice.

Kinda hit home since I haven't talked to mine in 9-10 years.

I only watched up the part where Juice got killed last night , and then I just finished the rest of the episode this morning.

Jax really has no problem killing when it needs to be done. His problem solving solution is violence, after all. I kind of felt sorry for Unser. I mean, he's so blindly loyal to Gemma that he knew Jax would kill him if he tried to protect her any further. It was a bit sad that Gemma didn't even attempt to save Unser at all, and no reaction either. Gemma even shed a tear for Clay wen he got whacked. I almost felt sorry for Juice, but then I remember all the people he killed, so he deserved what he got. And then there's Gemma. It's amusing how many people ended up dying because of her lies. I didn't feel anything for her at all when Jax took his shot.

I'm not sure what to make of Jax's strange leg problem. Having an unforeseen medical condition seems like an excuse that is too convenient excuse for him to leave the club.

I was trying to figure out what I didn't like about that scene, and you completely nailed it. Pretty much agree with the entirety of your post, really.

Jax is going to have a stroke/heart attack

Yeah, with the random leg thing you might be right. Which would be yet another cop out for this show.

I'm pretty sure it's going to happen. Otherwise, there's no reason to narratively mention Gemma's heart condition/open heart surgery these last few episodes.

Too bad Chucky didn't go with Unser. Another worthless character they could have dropped in the way of Jax's revenge.

Seems like he knows he's going to die and just needs to (help Sutter) wrap up all the loose ends in a short amount of time. I guess he will have made peace, gotten the club out of guns and into something more legit and finished what he started so many seasons ago. I did also notice he seemed to have a limp, but maybe Hunnam was laying on dat Jax swagger. A heart condition seems like a dumb way for it to end, but dumber shit has gone down in this show.

Pour one out for Juice. At least someone said he was a good sweetheart before he went. Lulz.

There's definitely something there, but I don't think Jax is going to drop dead from it or have a heart attack next week - the timing would be too much even for Sutter.

When Jax tells his club he has to meet Mayhem for the Sons to survive, he'll probably use whatever is wrong with him to smooth it over - telling them it's okay because he's dying anyway.

My guess is that they patch in the Grim Bastards and Jax will try to have them vote against Mayhem (which probably won't work), but that's just a guess.

Yuuuup. When, really, Jax deserves to meet Mr. Mayhem.

I think Jax is going to accept the Mayhem decision, go out for one last ride on JT's bike and have a heart attack while riding.

Gemma's finally dead.

I should feel happy, but it's taken so long that I feel absolutely nothing that she finally got what was coming to her. I don't know if it hasn't fully sunk in yet as I honestly expected her to survive, but it's weird to feel nothing over the death of someone who I've hated so much.

It was a good scene though. Hunnam knocked it out of the park again.

Unser is also finally dead, at fucking last. I hope his body is given up for scientific research as it's a damn miracle he survived so long with cancer...

Another episode, another rape. What the fuck is wrong with Sutter? If it's not unnecessary racism, it's randomly inserted rape...

Speaking of, Juice really got screwed the past three seasons and there was literally no reason for it. The hiding he's part black and then the whole traitor story arcs were completely ridiculous.I was actually glad when he was killed, if only for the fact that he couldn't get screwed over any more that he already had been.

Only one more episode. It's so close, so very very close. I can almost taste it. Sweet release is only a mere seven days away.

I had the same feelings with Gemma dying as well as Clay. Both were vile, horrible people that needed to die and when they did, it was just like, meh. Maybe because both deaths were so drawn out and overdue?
