While we never had a date, was Versus intended to be a PS3 exclusive originally? I can't recall ever hearing talk of a 360 release.

Yes, Versus was announced as a PS3 exclusive at the same time FFXIII was. After FFXIII 360 was announced, there was talk about the possibility of Versus going multiplatform as well, but SE never announced anything, and all of the trailers continued to list PS3 as the only platform.

As I mentioned before, I think it's a dev version but a lot closer to the final product. Maybe it's just cooky lighting, but to me it looks like it still retains the classic DS controller finish, instead of the nicer new matte finish seen in new photos of the DS4

Well Sony have held on to their third party exclusives this generation, although to be fair, I think MGS4 is the only one of them that would have needed to be held on to, so it's hard to say.

I guess we'll find out, but despite all the rumors, I still don't believe third party exclusives are coming back in any meaningful amounts. I won't be surprised if Titan and FFXV are pretty much it.

And Titan is not even a real one, considering it is going to be on PC Day 1.

To be fair, that decision wouldn't be up to Nomura. If the higher ups decided to bring it to Xbox, then it would be so. With that being said, though, the rumors suggest that Sony has been helping with the development of FFXV, in which case you could expect it to be locked as an exclusive to Sony consoles.

I don't think Bungie's is the final design yet. In the E3 teaser the shot of the DS4 showed that the Share/Option buttons were different. The Bungie one looks like the updated one from the PS Meeting.

Looks like Bungie has an updated Dev Kit controller, but not the exact same as the Official Image Sony released. Their updated version has the new speaker hole layout, but the Share/Option buttons haven't been updated.



Unless, the final version has changed a bit, but the Share/Option buttons went back to the design of the original leaked dev kit controller.

Japan is starting to become really aggressive in the F2P area. And they're doing it with major IP's. Ridge Racer, Dead or Alive, Tekken and Dragon's Dogma have all been announced to have F2P versions in the near future.

Agent isn't LA Noire.

GTA4 had a contractual window of exclusivity for PS3, R* didn't want to do that, and Agent's exclusivity was the reward.

LA Noire was a Sony published game that R* took from Sony, there are various rumors about what, if any compensation Sony was getting for giving them LA Noire, although the exclusive DLC in RDR/LA Noire/Mafia 2 was almost certainly part of it.

I've seen "DRM left up to the publishers" thrown around. Are there official origins to that, or is it just a rumor/speculation? I don't see the point in remaining quiet about the subject if heightened DRM is not a reality for your platform, especially given the shitstorm that Microsoft has undergone recently. Unless it's actually in the plans or a position that they're reevaluating, I don't understand the logic in maintaining silence and not giving a stern confirmation stating otherwise.

I guess making a public dig at Microsoft within their e3 event is a definite possibility?

That's absolutely possible. But Bethesda has been close to MS all generation, so I don't think that it'd be too shocking if they convinced them to give up timed exclusivity. Especially since it's early on in the generation and they aren't really dealing with the competition having a gigantic userbase.

It could be another feather in their cap for E3; not to mention that's the event where they'll be able to make stuff known to as many people possible at one time. Then again they might be saving the bad news for later on after showing all these games, or they're simply not even sure about their own stuff yet.

With how buggy their offerings have always been on Sony hardware and how they have always bent Sony consumers over by always giving Microsoft timed exclusives on every DLC I really do not see how anyone would expect them to all of the sudden change their habits even though the hardware is much different this time around.
Bethesda has had a relationship with Microsoft and always will.
That being said, people thinking that every game that shows up at Microsoft's conference will be exclusive are simpletons.

MGS4 was one of the biggest reasons I bought a PS3. It was a few years after the game came out, sure, but it still was one of the biggest reasons.
