maybe tomorrow it rains
Man, I'm so pumped. If we get Spidey in Civil War and he dons the Iron Spider suit, I'm going to lose my shit. Even if he doesn't, I'm still so fucking excited to see him interacting with the other Avengers.

Under the deal, the new Spider-Man will first appear in a Marvel film from Marvel's Cinematic Universe (MCU). Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of its $4 billion Spider-Man franchise, on July 28, 2017, in a film that will be co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the franchise launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new creative direction for the web slinger. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films.

Marvel and Sony Pictures are also exploring opportunities to integrate characters from the MCU into future Spider-Man films.
Sony still has the last word. I hope they know better then to talk back, seeing how they can't seem to do a decent Spidey movie.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
Can someone explain this to someone who doesn't follow this shit on why this matters?

What's it mean to Spidey movies that wasn't happening before?

Garfield is out. Sony will start over. Feige has input.

YO.

How much you wanna bet the Russo brothers are DEFINITELY gonna get to do their Spidey movie now.

Wow. This is news. Tentatively excited, although the idea of Sony still having so much control is a little worrying. It looks like it won't be ASM3, but rather something completely new? Hopefully they're smart about how they reboot it. I don't want the origin story again.

Why do they say Marvel is entering the world of Spider-man when it should be the other way around? Makes me think there's a catch or it's not full integration.
