This is what I get for trying to meddle with comics GAF.

That one is obviously not meant to be taken seriously.

Didn't Thanos curse him to stay alive forever though, so Deadpool wouldn't meet Death?

No. A future version of Deadpool (about 35 years from now) died permanently during battle of the atom. He's not immortal.

Wouldn't Deathstroke pose a huge threat to them alone? He is basically Deadpool and Deadpool have won over these guys numerous times. He also got the strength of Spider-man, can stand punches from Lobo and quick enough reflexes to track even the Flash. At his prime he should be able to take couple of them down by himself. He can use the other villains as a diversion.

Wut.

You do know Lobo is about as strong as Superman, right? And that even supes can't track Flash?

Well, lobo was balls strong. Dunno how tuff the new52 silly looking version is.

let me rephrase this. Is batman going to be able to survive long enough against THAT

any answer other than "hell no" isn't being honest. Batman is paste.

Seriously. If he saw that shit coming at him, why would Batman throw a fucking sonic batarang or whatever at it?

and yet...

SpOck one shots him into critical condition.

Peter had him and the new spider slayers that were kicking Ben Grimm's ass to deal with. So he built that Spidersense bomb to take them out. If it wasn't for that I am sure he would have taken Scorpion down similarly.

I love this

What did Jonah always know? That Scorpion had a jaw?

Jonah never liked spider man for a number of reasons, but there he's saying that he always knew that deep down parker had the balls to stop joking around and just put an end to the threats terrorizing people.

he doesn't, that was octavius. But JJJ was quite fond of Superior Spider Man...until he ended up getting himself blackmailed into rubber stamping whatever Otto wanted.

edit: here's a fun one:

Absorbing Man throws an armored car at parker like a baseball. Parker catches it while still cracking wise and on the phone

Which only happened because he tried to treat Otto as his personal pet.
To be fair, JJ didn't even have a reason to complain. Crime went waaay down.

The Joker would beat them all. He's crazier than all of Spider-Man's villains, even Gobby. Gobby at least has certain motives. Joker is just fucking crazy.

I fail to see how "being fucking crazy" would help Joker not get bopped

Outside of the Gotham that was created for detective vigilante Batman (who was basically a cross between Dick Tracey and Zorro, not Captain America meets Tony Stark), Joker makes no sense. Every attempt to make him some serious threat in the greater DCU requires a ton of plot devices (Emperor Joker) or is just lame. The Flash should be able to find him and throw him in jail in 5 seconds. Hell, Superman can recognize heartbeats from like half a continent away, and Joker is just a regular schmuck.

You don't see Marvel trying to play up Typhoid Mary as the lead of their latest summer crossover.

So basically they just turned GG into a green pointy-eared Joker. Sincerest form of flattery I guess. Just shows that the Joker is the world's greatest comic book villain, bar none.

have you been paying attention to the character at all over the past oh...40 years? serious question. He only threw spider man's girlfriend off a bridge and killed her in 1973. What was joker doing in 1973?

Killing Jason Todd or whatever? Speaking of which, it's crazy how Marvel hasn't brought back Gwen Stacy yet. I guess they sort of did in Sins Past, but then again, that was the worst story ever told by a hominid, so maybe they should leave her dead.

not until 1988.

Probably still pulling off boners.

Ding Ding Ding. 1973 Joker was pretty much this guy:

Played by Cesar "fuck you, I'm not shaving my mustache for this bullshit" Romero.

It's his relationship with Batman that is the best, not he himself. You can throw someone like Goblin in anybody's book and he can steal the show.

I am sure those darkest depths will come in handy when Carnage is eating him

In recent years I have realized what an absolute joke The Joker is, only works in the Batman universe

It's not Batman's fault he keeps catching him and whatever state Gotham city is in can't use convict him in a court of law for terrorism, murder, and all the counts of attempted murder, then sentence him to be executed.

This is a good time to bring up Tombstone. Tombstone was a thug named lonnie lincoln with a skin condition- he's actually black, though most people don't know this.

Tombstone_comic.jpg

Lonnie has a history with spider man background character Robbie Robinson bullies him throughout childhood. Lonnie becomes a hitman, Robbie goes to work for the bugle. Lonnie is caught and sent to prison with help from Robbie and spiderman, but not before beating the shit out of Robbie for it. Robbie is framed by a judge on Mob payroll in retribution, and ends up in the same prison as Tombstone- the implication being that Tombstone is going to finish the job on the inside.

Robertson befriends a pretty big dude on the inside for protection, but it doesn't even matter. Tombstone beats this dude literally to death with his bare hands in a prison cell, just to show Robbie what he has coming and no one can protect him.

I remember reading that when I was a kid and going "holy shit this is dark as hell for a spider man story."

I get the point you're making, but by 1973 Denny O'Neill was in charge of the Bat comics and Joker was already murdering people with the lethal "joker grin" poison later popularized in Batman '89.

I read that in my first comic trade years back. It was definitely surprising. I didn't know Marvel comics got so brutal

It comes out of nowhere and it is very subtle. Like when Nightmare raped Dream Queens mother. Dream Queen's mother being a succubus meant that she inherited everyone of her mother's memories makes it worse.

He wasn't exactly the Greenie Meanie but Mark Hamill played Hobgoblin in the 90s Spider-Man cartoon. And yes the voices are identical.

Green Goblin is really not at that level. He's more at Two face's level.

Two Face?
I dont know if Two Face got an upgrade, but has he ever thought of taking on a city of gods?
Norman Osborn, America's last hero.

Salutes!

It's pretty easy to see.
Deathstroke can emit the right frequencies? Deathstroke wins.
Otherwise Venom or Carnage found a new host.
I love Venom but god damn he has like the easiest weakness to exploit.

He first has to figure out that it even is a weakness....its not like Venom and Carnage show off that they are weak to certain frequencies....and even then, once the syimbiote jumps off the host it was very quickly hunt for a new host.....even if the new host is a dog.
And if Deathstroke aint quick enough, we will get a Deathstroke Venom and or Deathstroke Carnage.
Deathstroke Venom would be similar to current Venom.

Also, just for arguments sake, Carnage probably solos the Batman Villains, and takes Batman down too:

This is how I'd set this up:

Green Goblin vs. The Joker
The Lizard vs. The Man-Bat
Shocker vs. KGBeast
Rhino vs. Bane
Kingpin vs. The White Shark
The Owl vs. The Penguin
Chameleon vs. Clayface
Mr. Hyde vs. Solomon Grundy
Scarecrow vs. Scarecrow (not exactly a Spider-villain, but how could you not put these two against each other?)
Mysterio vs. Mad Hatter
Hammerhead vs. Black Mask
Tombstone vs. Two-Face
Scorpion vs. Firefly
Carnage vs. Professor Pyg
Kraven the Hunter vs. Deadshot
Doctor Octopus vs. Hush
Vulture vs. Killer Moth
Venom vs. Victor Zsasz
Sandman vs. Mr. Freeze
Jackal vs. Blockbuster II
Hydro-Man vs. Phosphorus Rex
Electro vs. Cornelius Stirk
Tag Team action! Stilt-Man/Big Wheel vs. Kite Man/Condiment King

I tried to match personality and/or abilities where I could to make interesting match ups. Still couldn't find some matches for some of the A-tier Bat-villains though (Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, and The Riddler are notable for the absence, but my goal was to make fun match ups with this). http://batman.wikia.com/wiki/Batman_Rogues_Gallery and http://www.comicvine.com/profile/spidermanwins/lists/spideys-full-rogues-gallery/31684/ proved useful in making this list (and they have bios of all the guys I listed here if you need to read up on one).

In a just straight up fight? Spiderman villains are more "powerful"

Batman villains are more cerebral and cunning. Drop batman's villains in Spiderman's New York and all of Spiderman's enemies would be dead and Batman's rouges would be running the place in about a year.

Okay that looks cool. What arc/story?

This isn't even remotely true.

Have you ever read a Spider-Man comic before? It doesn't seem like you have.

Yes lots of them. Batman and Spider-Man are two completely different hero's and their Rouges are almost as different. If you tossed all the villains in a open field and told them to go at it. Spiderman's villains would win just based on power differences.

But if it's war or attrition, and cunning. Batman's Rouge win over time. They're just smarter, more cunning and actually more ruthless.

Except Spider-Man's villains are more than accustomed to working together for a common goal. If it became a drawn-out battle for control of New York/Gotham, you think Scorpion and Rhino are going to try and strike out on their own? The likes of Osborn, Octavious and the Kingpin would be calling the shots while Sandman and Electro act as enforcers.Wayne's band of misfits would be begging to be admitted to Arkham.

By the way, does Venom / Brock / Toxin whatever counts as a villain now ? Isn't he more a anti-hero since a very long time ?

Some of those are wildly mismatched. Tombstone vs Two Face? Goddamn.

It kills me how people always assume that Batman comics are being ripped off in some way when Joker was truly JUST a clown when Green Goblin was reeking havoc and killing off characters, and Batman was in full Adam West mode when Black Panther was prep-timing.
