Looking back, I forgot how awesome the trailer for the first Splatfest was. That first Splatfest is still one of my favorite things I've experienced in a video game.

I sadly missed em all skipped Splatoon 1 till 2017. Will soon watch all announcements on Youtube for the dialoge and the squid sister amiibo atleast gave me a small taste of it.

Due to work I haven't really had the time to play heavy, but had a sit-down yesterday and at A, A- and B+ all with the lord and savior heavy splatting. I got into splatoon 1 a bit late so only the Japanese/better players were online, so getting to S rank took forever, so far splatoon 2 is a lot easier rank wise.

I picked Mayo because i don't have a horse in the Ketchup v Mayo race, but the absolute popularity blowout for Marina's side (and the fact that ketchup is an American staple) means i should have an easier time finding matches that matter (Mayo v Ketchup matches) on the Pearl/Mayo side.

Edit: They've said they'll bring over more old stages, just not all of them. I'd really like to see Arowana Mall, but my bet is it'll be Ancho-V Games and Museum D'Alfonso

A question:

B-/B player in Splat Zones and Rainmaker so obviously I'm not very good. I'm a dirty Aerospray user except for Tower Control where I haven't really put in any time in to it. I know the consensus is that Aerospray is kinda shit for ranked because it is poor for getting splats which kinda seems to be the ranked meta for this game from reading this thread and Google and such. But I've been finding good value in Rainmaker in laying down ink for my carrier to go in or forcing opponents in a direction with the curling bomb special. And using it as an area denial tool once you cap the point in Splat Zones isn't bad either, but with so much trouble killing I'm still debating its effectiveness in that mode.

Are these observations more to do with rank than the actual weapon and tactics?
