There's a counter at the left of the entrance of Grizz Co. This is where you can collect your bonuses.

It cycles every two hours. It just changed on the last hour so a hour and a half until the next rotation.

It's time based. It rotates 2 maps in every 2 hours.

I love this game but there are 3 things that need to change:

- I don't want to see the map breakdown every time I launch the game. I don't care.
- open up all maps all the time, not just 2
- Salmon Run should not be a timed thing

btw, the quality of the amiibos for splatoon 2 is really a lot better than for the splatoon 1 amiibos.

You get items the first time you scan them, then scan them again every 5th level for more gear, 5, 10, 15 so on. Not sure when they stop giving you gear.

Also not sure what Callie and Marie give you.

My daughter who put well over 300 hours into Splatoon for the Wii U just started a couple rounds in turf war and she looked at me and said "you're not fresh at all? What's up with your kicks?"

Lol... she getting use to the Switch controls and is mad because all she's scores is in the 2,200 point range per match. My best score is 1970. I wonder how well she will do with weapons she's familiar with.

Salmon Run is so damn fun, absolutely love the mode. Got fog in my last match and that made things pretty interesting. The night time modifier is also really, really hectic.

So I probably put a good 2 hours into it last night. Seems like it's an improvement over the first game in just about every way.

I was able to get to level 4 in Regular Battles. A whole lot of fun.

Visually, while not technically a stellar looking game, it still manages to look great and performs perfectly.

I tried the single player and it's what you would expect. It's likely what I'll play on my work breaks. I like that the levels reward exploration too.

I can't wait to try Salmon Run with my daughter after work. I surprised her this morning with her own digital copy on her Switch. She was so happy. Typically, I buy 1 physical game for us to share on our switch's, but Splatoon 2 doesn't have local co-op.

While waiting outside of Best Buy this morning to pick up my pre-order a father and her daughter were waiting to get a switch. The daughter was playing on the one I assume she co-opted from her father so they were getting a second one for her father to use.

you get second hand points because their guts spread all over the place and cover turf

also you get area denial because your opponents aren't there in your face
