How, where and when does ordered gear appear?
Talk to Murch (the sea urchin kid) by the Lobby EntranceHow, where and when does ordered gear appear?
Well that might be it, embarrassing
I can't enter a kettle tho since I need to find 3 of those fish (?) - which I can't find.
How many players can play Salmon Run? And does the difficulty scale to match?
it's a meter for winning strikes for each weapon.
when you reach 5.0 (for example) you gain bonus points

Buy it guys doesn't matter if you have one already.
Absolutely no way, it looks disgusting.
I already have a pro controller since day one, and I'd be more than happy with a new special edition one....but not like this.
Here's hoping there's something special planned for the Mario Odyssey
I don't have the game, contemplating wether to get it or not.
Is salmon run playable solo/with randoms or only with friends? I generally don't play with a party in online games.
Salmon Run does award ability chunks, but it's not the only place you can get them. You can get ability chunks from Murch as well. One of the options from Murch is to wipe your gear, which cleans off the abilities on said gear and leaves chunks behind. I'm not sure what the price is for that service, but Murch will likely accept the squid coin you get from battling. Is Salmon Run where you get those ability chunks for the Urchin guy? I was wondering where you got those from since all you get from Turf War is coins for gear.
What controller settings are you using in portable mode, and should I leave the motion controls on or off - what's recommended?
Thank you very much! It's playable with randoms and with friends.

absolutely LOVING this game. I never got to play Splatoon 1 (though it veeery nearly sold me on a Wii U), and this doesn't disappoint my hype one bit.
Big surprise though is just how great those motion controls are. I was so ready to not get it and turn them off but like...2 hours in and I already never want to go back to normal controls ever again.

You don't need anything to enter the normal levels. You must be looking at the boss entrance.
I'm getting errored out of matches, and now the game is telling me I'm going to get blocked from playing because of quitting, wtf!
I will answer as well as I can. If you have more questions, please do post them.Key questions regarding online multiplayer with friends:
I don't think there's official clan support. What folks usually did in Splatoon 1 was put their clan tag directly in their display name. When you want to play league battles, you can only play in teams of 2 or 4.* What is the recommended way for 7 friends to create a clan? Through a password? (or does the game limit teams to 4 players, with no clan?)
Yes, if you want to play 3v3, you will need to set up a private battle.* Let's say 6 of us are online at the same time, in that case we'd do a 3 vs 3 session. I assume we'd select private battle for this?
Not quite sure what you mean here. When a player sets up a private battle, only that player's friends will be able to see and join that private battle. You can close and set up private battles as often as you like.* But what if we are only 4 online: does the private battle entrance allows us to regroup, and face other players?
Not really to the first question, though admittedly I haven't used the app yet. Yes you can just use discord instead if you prefer.* Is using the app the best way to join friends? Can we use discord and forget the app once our squad session is launched?
Nope. I don't think Splatoon 2 has any concept of clans in this way.* If a 7 player clan can be a thing (knowing only 4 players would play at one given time), does the game keep track of the overall clan records?
I would have preferred it if you could use both motion controls and be able to use normal controls moving in all directions.
Thanks for the time you took to answer, much appreciatedI will answer as well as I can. If you have more questions, please do post them.

So how do I get those tokens to order food?
So noone knows when you unlock reroll/add slot from Murch? I'm upto Level 7 and he just says he's to busy to add that.
All my gear is already maxed out since they only have one slot each. XD
With that, going to bed. Played four hours straight. Tomorrow I unlock ranked and the true splatting will begin. Salmon run is fun as hell. I guess it gets harder the more you play since we had like 4 bosses at once already. D:
