Salmon Run bonuses are usually tokens, sometimes for drink and sometimes for food. You also see them around in the single-player.

First match using the blaster and barely 30 seconds in I get a double kill, followed by a third kill. Proceeded to dominate the team in kills for the rest of the match.

Putting Salmon run behind a day and time wall is the most bizarre thing I have seen in the online gaming space for while.

For the weekend it's all day, starting monday it'll only be available most of the time in 24 hour increments for a majority of the week.
Agreed hopefully they will just make it so the map changes on the current off days or something. Or just throw away the whole limit stuff with Salmon Run.
In other games coop modes are 24/7 available.
Locking maps behind time fine but modes not.

Does anyone know how the matchmaking works for regions? I'm in UK with a U.K. Switch, but I normally buy games digitally from US store since my Nintendo account is US based. Would I match up in US or in UK?

I don't see what is so out there.
It's a side mode and there are already a lot of other shit splitting the userbase constantly.
They just made it that way so it's an event with special rewards and people won't wait forever now or when the player count goes down.
It's not a game with 25 millions of players and it's just out, lol.

Damn postnl (dutch post service) is damn crappy why the fuck deliver the game and amiibo seperate lol sure the game fits through a postbox but still.... Why not ya know deliver everything in one go.

I can confirm tho the amiibo look amazing. I really like inkling boy cuz his hair resembles mine a bit also big and spiky and sides shaved short

I assume because your bonus meter resets between sessions. They could always keep it running and reset the bonuses at midnight, though, so I don't get it either.
Very tiny amounts, so it's not remotely useful for levelling.
Some people fear split playerbase but Splatoon 2 only has like a handfull of modes. COD, Battlefield/front etc have like 10+.
So i don't think it will be a issue at all.

Maybe they think the user volume cannot support three modes at the same time 24/7? Not that I am defending it, but it does sounds reasonable.

Isn't there special items and currency in Salmon mode? Perhaps it is to stop excessive farming.

I can't think of a single £50 game that arbitrary locks co-op mode behind a day and time wall. It's actually kind of gross that Nintendo is specifically punishing their co-op playerbase.
And they're old and popular franchises that sell ten times more with a more dedicated userbase?
I mean that's not rocket science or even comparable. Not to mention that any mode should be played with acceptable wait time even 6 months from now when half the people playing this week will be gone
Also even besides that, they made salmon run a side mode for a reason, it's supposed to be an event with specific rewards, not an everyday mode that just awards exp.
Who gives a fuck. Games aren't required to have a checklist of stuff made elsewhere. And gtfo with that "punishing" bullcrap please. Special mode being temporary is not unheard of at all and it's more annoying for everyone if people have to wait longer because some people only want to play salmon run for the rest of their lives for some reason.
Also, they allowed it to be played local anytime for the same reason.
I played the single player this morning. Now I'm at work and when I launch the App, click on the Splatoon icon, I can only access a screen with some pictures telling me what the app will do. Is that normal? Shall I start an online match to unlock the app content?

Well maybe it's cuz i am so excited lol, having ADHD also does not help with that just makes the excitement increase tenfold
But did not know it was actually pretty good compared to other countries.
Man, I'd love to stay at home today and try this game, instead of going to work. My only experience with the series has been last weekend's Splatfest, and I loved it. It's hard having a game downloaded on my console but not being able to touch it for 14 more hours...
