So do the alternate costume amiibo from the previous game unlock different costumes?
That's kinda how it feels. It's all the disadvantages of the roller without the advantages.
There must be some trick to it.
It seems like a waste of space to me, so I delete them.
I kinda wish I could delete my play record from my profile too. Or can I do that? I like my play record to be filled with actual games and not demo.
Is it just me or is everybody keeps getting disconnected right now ? Couldnt play a single game

I had a win just like that last night. I'm not too proud to admit that I did a big fist pump and gritted through my teeth "hell yeah!"Won by 0.3%. The satisfaction is real.
It's pretty great yeah go for it. Nearly everything about the gameplay here is awesome.

I put both sliders to maxDoes anyone find the handheld motion control feel a little wonky?
Has anyone else had success with the settings for said mode? I've been mixing and matching but I feel like the motion controls just feel sluggish or don't have the range like the Pro controller. I like the idea of slipping my switch in my pocket and getting a few games in on Break or while in bed, but its frustrating.
Depends on what you mean.
Get the idea? A couple matches
Get the mechanics? An hour. (Changes for different weapons though.)
Get gyro aiming? Several hours if it's new to you.
Get gud? Who knows...
Are gyro controls the preference here? I know it says that in the OP but it's hard to imagine people choosing gyro over analog controls for aiming. But I've never played the first one so I don't know. Only got to play about 20-30 minutes of the Test Fire and the gyro controls seemed a bit jarring--probably because I was in handheld mode and it was tough to stay focused on the screen while I was tilting it so much. I switched it to analog for my last match but I can't say if I liked it better or not; not enough time to tell.
Picking this up at Best Buy after work today. Very excited for it!

Any pics anywhere? I tried google, but I found a couple that seemed fakey.
My last screenshot in Splatoon yesterday vs. my first screenshot in Splatoon 2 today
So erm at this rank aspawns andmothershipsteals back the eggs![]()

it's a pretty lively discussion. try both and use what you like best.
Gyro controls have ruined every game that doesn't have them for me. If people consider dual-analog to be a revolution in camera control using a controller, gyro is basically the equivalent of triple-analog.
In Splatoon 2, I definitely recommend using the Pro Controller + gyro. It's a very comfortable setup for the amount of camera control you'll need at all times.
Thanks! That's hot.I have made one.

Have you done anything other than play Salmon Run?
Slosh from behind cover; cut off paths; aim the tip.
It's really strong on maps like the new skatepark, the stage - anywhere with uneven terrain where you can avoid line of sight but still attack.
Edit: super strong on fitness as well.
As someone who has played a lot of shooters over the years, going from 2 stick to 2 sticks + gyro IS jarring. (I didn't play in handheld either, but I can imagine the sensitivity needing to be totally different for it in handheld mode too.)
You'll do just fine and have a good time playing with 2 sticks only. I didn't give it a proper chance initially for the original Splatoon, but eventually decided to learn to play with it based on people's recommendations and... It took several hours to wrap my head around it and overcome my muscle memory, but once I did, I enjoyed it and felt more competitive as a result (Don't be afraid to mess with the sensitivity too). It works really well, but it takes a bit to "get it." Give it an honest shot, and if you still don't really like it, don't worry about using it.
Added. Salmon rush gets intense....My Friend code is SW-1673-2405-8707 if anyone wants to add me.
Unfortunately, I don't have the Pro Controller--will likely be a purchase down the road. I'll try it with the grip on TV mode first. This will probably feel a lot better for me than gyro + handheld mode did.
I looked at the Splatnet on the Nintendo Network App, but I can't find when Salmon Run is available. Is the only place in the game?
Am I not seeing it or do you really have to get out of MP completely to change your weapons?
I can't switch them inbetween two matches or even in one match?
