Does this game keep track of your stats at all? Wins, losses? Splats/splatted?

SplatNet 2 in the Online App. Shows your wins, losses for the last 50 matches including all stats for each match i.e. the result, your gear, everybody else's gear etc. You can even share all that to social media.

jesus christ, every fucking match so far has been a massacre. I feel like I die instantly but it takes me ~3 seconds of perfect aim to kill anyone else. And forget flying to people, surefire way to get insta-killed. ugh.

also, I really really wish there was a way to disable motion controls on one axis. I feel like i'm playing worse because of them in a PVP environment

edit: does it bother anyone else when your team just runs away from the starting point without inking everything? wasted fucking points

WHEW Amazon's finally delivered a Nintendo product to me ON TIME. Cmon work day just END!

This is perfect, Splatoon 2 launch day while I OC and stress test my Ryzen 1700, what a good friday

Up to the first boss in single player, and lvl4 in multi. Having a lot of fun, and the Splatnet app is cool. (not tried the voice chat! Lol)

Think this is rapidly going to overtake Zelda as my most played Switch game.

Not really sure how the clothing stats work, just bought some random stuff so far...

I'm from the UK, if I wanted to buy this from another digital store I just change my nintendo account location right? I remember reading another EU location has it for like £10 less overall digitally.

I want to see what the Callie and Marie amiibo do in this game, but I'm not sure if I should play the single player mode first or not. Can someone tell me if their amiibo functionality would be a spoiler to single player mode or not? (And if it's not a spoiler, then just tell me what it is, lol).

People were saying South Africa is the best for UK people, yeah. You can just change your region and use your normal UK card fine.

I tried them the first thing when I started the game...and they were not available!

You do get a pretty funny message from one of them. I'm guessing you need to beat single player to use them properly.

Gotta get up there to contest the opposing team's inroads ASAP. You'll be re-treading the starting ground a million times as you die, easy to gradually fill it up over the course of the battle.

Where the hell do I get ability chunks?

This game doesn't explain anything lol

Yeah go to mynintendo change region to South Africa, purchase game, and then change region back to UK.

UK card is accepted, and game version is EU.

669 Rand which works out about 39 pound.

And the campaign is finished. Some real amazing and creative levels in there, overall better than the first campaign except for the final boss.

Scrubbing weapons. Not sure if there's another way.

Thanks.

There seems to be so much depth to this game though and so many things to consider.

Another question if you don't mind. Do "perks" stack up? So if I have two items of clothing with ink saver do I get a boost, or am I wasting a "perk"?

Any way to change your gender?

You gotta be careful when you use your super-jump - observe who you want to jump to, see if they're currently in a firefight or an enemy is nearby. I never jump to someone who's losing turf. Surefire way to get splatted right after spawning, as you've noticed.

Also, don't worry about inking everything around spawn right off the bat. It's your area, so you'll have plenty of time to get to it whenever you respawn - this also allows you to refill your special gauge in a safe area. Getting to contested areas first and driving back the enemy is a higher priority at the beginning of a match.

Spoiler sensitivity has come a long way.

I thought this was the case too until I still see 50% of the base's turf empty at the end of the game

so is anybody messing around with voice chat? My current setup is using my turtle beach 520 stealth wireless headset with the USB dongle plugged into the computer using discord. Then I have an 3.5 extension from the switch into the headset. This gives me audio from game and voice chat through discord.

Well that's the secret to Splatoon. In normal multi, you have to carry the whole team. Think of them as incompetent AI assistants that exist just to keep the enemy busy. If you can identify an objective that you think needs doing, then do it, don't assume they will. If they're all rushing to the front, being the one guy who stays back to ink, or at least focuses on it for the the match bit by bit, is how you succeed. If they're staying back, you rush instead. Always fill their stupid holes.
