Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I wanted to take a screenshot of my fresh gear, but I also captured Jelonzo's long ass tentacle. :I

Why is the teams I'm playing with camping out at set locations?

The whole point of the game is to take the freaking map!

Seems a good strategy for the upcoming Splatzones but for Turf Wars, kind of a waste.

I guess sniping could be fun though but otherwise, it seems counterproductive like you said.

Okay, i'm Level 10 now, gonna stop for the time being. I was beginning to think the Aerospray MG is OP since every time I was on the same team as another Aerospray User, the team won...

...except when I was the only user and there were 2 users on the other team and I scored 1,400...then I realised i'm OP.

Also, what's the highest rating in the "Toasty Rankings"? I have "On Fire", can it go higher?

They need to hurry up and patch in where you can leave a lobby, cuz hard reset sucks to have to do when the match doesnt start

And after a hard reset my wifi isnt working on my WiiU smh

I love this game but the controls suck :( feel like I'm battling them no matter what I do. Y axis too sensitive always vs the X when using sticks. But then with motion controls my head just can't wrap around stick for X motion for Y and I'm constantly correcting myself mid-battle. I'm about 3-4 hours in of play too... we need more control adjusting options.

It's not that the Y is too sensitive, the problem is this game snaps your aiming reticule toward the ground when you aim down. Someone clearly thought it was a good idea for making it easier to paint the ground, but it's infuriating when you're fighting someone at close range and they're popping in and out of the ink since it throws your aim off. Honestly don't think I'm ever going to get used to it and it's rather annoying that you can't turn it off.

I am loving this game. I had some really dynamic battles last night. Stayed up till 2:30am on a work night and have been dragging, ha ha.

In one round I happened to catch three people in the same spot at once. So instead of trying to kill them (which I may have been able to), I intentionally taunted around and played sitting duck. The three kids becomes focused on trying to take me down for a good full minute, giving my team complete unrestricted access to the rest of the level. Had I just killed them they would have respawned and jumped back into claiming more space. We dominated after that.

Another round we were getting beat pretty bad with full enemy paint up to our spawn. So with a minute left, instead of getting caught up in the losing push-back effort, I bee-lined it as fast as I could past the fighting and out of mind. Spray, Squid, Jump, Spray Midair, Squid, Jump. I then painted the crap out of their area. We ended up losing still but I took them down from like a 90% win to a very close 47%.

I understand that... sucks that I may have to use the roller. I swore to never use it but with these teams I'm playing with, I'm playing solo against another team.

Have somewhere I have to be tonight, but I plan on playing the hell out of this all weekend. I'm at level 7 currently. I'd ideally like to make it to level 10 and jump back into single player. Nintendo really knocked it out of the park with this release in my opinion. Looking forward to all the support they're giving it through the summer.

Game is pretty swag. Multiplayer is real weird tho because you're always seeing stuff you didn't even know existed and sometimes it'll toss in someone 12 levels ahead of everyone else. I expect it to get significantly better as the base grows and familiarity develops. It also seems like single player unlocks stuff for multiplayer so I guess I'll run through that. So far I only beat the first boss.

I didn't really expect colors to be on constant rotation even in the hub world, but it does keep everything pretty fresh, so I don't mind. The aiming is also way more natural than I expected and I have full confidence in Star Fox now.

Urgh tell me about it, I was on a team and we where on course for victory but during the final second they decided to be stupid and the other team won.

I also had to mute the d-pad as someone on the team was spamming it.

How do you do that???

Go to the player that has the outfit you want to buy and there should be an option to buy it however you need to remember that you need to be at level 4 first, the stats might not be the same and annoyingly Amiibo outfits can't be brought.

After your lvl 4(?) you can talk to urchin guy. He tells you if you go up to any of the player characters hanging out in the lobby area you can inspect them an order stuff they're wearing. 1 item per day.

Worth noting as well that it's a pretty expensive service, the headphones I ordered through him cost 10k (4x more expensive than they cost in the shop).

I haven't added anyone to my friends list before how does it work on Wii U? I added my NNID to the GAF sheet, does it work like 3DS where I have to send everyone a request and they also have to send one to me?

Really fun game, just got to level 4 and bought some new gear.

I want to buy this, but I don't think it's worth $60

Why? It's a multiplayer game you'll play a lot if you like it. Are Mario Kart and Smash worth $60?

I can see feeling that way because of the small number of maps and modes, but there's more coming. It's dumb they made the demo so limited, people would be less hesitant about the price if they could play it, game's a blast.

Real talk, Jet Squelcher is terrible. It is basically a counter for chargers, but it is so bad. Slow walking speed while shooting, sub is the splash wall and it can't even be thrown where you want it easily, uses up as much ink as the Splattershot Pro. Most firefights take place up close in Turf War, so the super low rate of fire really hurts it for close combat.

Custom Jet Squelcher could help with a different sub, but man is the base gun lacking.

Went in to get my pre-order and was also able to get the last squid boy and girl amiibo. Came as a surprise when I was told that the only way to get the squid amiibo for now was to get the 3-pack so hopefully Nintendo releases it by itself late on.

That's mostly why. I'm just not sure I'll still care about it when the content comes. It looks like a fun Summer multiplayer game, but MGO comes in September. Not sure if I'll have room for more than one multiplayer when grad school starts.

And yes, Kart and Smash are worth the price imo

Nope, you send a request, they get notified and can choose to accept or decline.

Hmm I am still not feeling the game as it isn't leaving a smile on my face, like The Wonderful 101 did. :(

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. Not everything can be for everyone and maybe this game just isn't clicking for you.

Have you gone through the single-player?

Yeah I got it last night and was disappointed

I find the online play in this game much more fun that Mario Kart. Yes, Mario Kart 8 looks gorgeous, it's good offline, but online it's still horribly balanced IMO. This game is much better as far as online gaming goes IMO.

Yeah, Kart 8 is probably the best in the series but the item balance is as bad as it's been and sometimes worse.

I'd often finish first in the 3DS Kart or at least be top 3 consistently.

In 8, I can win first and then next match, get last.
