hey in the lobby and after battles under the money you have there is a bar that fills with green. and says things like cool or so hot. What is that? some kind of rating system? but it isnt ranked mode.

Rollers have been getting destroyed from what I've seen in my games. It's kinda funny now how many people were calling them OP before.

Definitely. There are a lot more Splattershot Jrs now.
It only seems to apply to the analog stick, and even then doesn't make a gigantic difference when it's maxed out.
I've never played a gyro control game that allowed for sensitivity adjustment. OoT3D, MM3D, WWHD, Arkham City, 3D Land, whatever... the gyro moves the way it does and that's that. I don't know if it has to do with the fact that it's using 1:1 input, but the movement required for gyro aiming severely reduces speed of placing the cursor compared to IR aiming.

Same here, can't wait to get into some matches with just GAFfers because randos online aren't very good so far.
Protip: Don't super jump to someone who's ten feet away from your spawn point.
Also, if anyone didn't know I just noticed that you can use the bumpers to quickly jump between stores.
What exactly is the difference between the two Splattershots? I'm guessing the normal one has better range and Jr. shoots more quickly or has more spread or something? Can't quite put my finger on what it is about it but Jr. just feels crappy to me, I do way better with the regular model.
Good, so only people with great roller skill will be left, and I'll do anything to be one of them.
But I think there'll be tons of inkbrush users, can't match that speed!

Nice. I was waiting for it. Although the Nikki theme is so adorable, swapping it for another is almost a crime.

I've been maining the Kraken Roller. But there seems to be a bit of a fall off at the higher levels (10+), when people suddenly learn the Roller is more of an ambush weapon and you can't just charge forward without being killed very easily.
dont you get money for single player too?

I wonder what the system is for the graffiti that pops up. I didn't realize that that was a feature and I did a double-take when I saw a billboard of Squidward on one level. The next one had "Splatoon > Call of Duty" in it. You'd think there'd be rules due to copyright or whatever.
I get more kills with rollers but my score is about the same as splatter shot so I dunno. I'm terrible with chargers tho lol

The Jr one has more spread and I think the fire rate is faster as well. I prefer the regular as well, but I think Jr is the better between these two.

Picked up my copy tonight. Every store I went to had plenty of the Ink Boy and Ink Girl Amiibos but none of them had the 3-Pack. Pretty bummed. Hopefully I can find them next week

Won 3/4 games. Love how competitive it gets. Still need to get used to the controls but this is magnificient. Onto single player campaign

Is it just me or is the first stage where the octolings show up pretty much a perfect multiplayer map? Seems like they could just drag and drop that as a map, looks pretty balanced and everything.

The color of your squid's hair in the overworld depends on what color is was in the last match or level you played.
Maps rotate in and out.
Ok, first thing I'll do when I get the game tomorrow is :
- Finish single player, to train a bit and more importantly ->
- Unlock every levels in the Amiibos challenge, I want that robot-like suite + roller challenges's replica roller. (And Squid Beatz)
- Hop online and get destroyed as I learn how to be a good roller main.

So my Wii U clock isn't updated so it was saying 23:00 when it was actually 00:00. Well it seems the server time is what determines gear. I guess to prevent you from clock abusing.
Apart from that. Spyke let me down. He couldn't find what I wanted so sold me some shoes instead. No idea if I had just bought what I had ordered...still 5000 for some 2 star shoes seems very expensive so I dread what the 3 star gear will cost in 24 hours time.
Speaking of 2 star equipment it takes a while to get both slots (slot 1, 2000, slot 2 6000 total 8000).

Been playing this non-stop all day! I freakin' LOVE THIS GAME! Such aesthetic charm and great mechanics. Deeply strategic too once you get into it!

As much as that hyped up final boss is something I want to see and even though I do want to get to the Amiibo challenges it's entertaining enough that I like to go between it and multiplayer.
I feel like they've managed to balance this out pretty well.

Really liking the .52 Gal! It's not a grind at all to get enough currency to buy stuff so far.

I found these two really weird when they were announced, but now I kind of like them. Especially Marie, I like her lines in the game.

Got to level 7 in about an hour and a half. I seem to average about 1000p per match and have probably won 2/3rds of my matches. I had one match where I was 9-0 and my team still lost. I need to get better about using grenades and shields when I have them.
Wish I could keep playing but I need to take a break and eat haha. Probably going to be playing this all night though.
