Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I've learned that I'm usually the person pushing ahead. And if there is no one on the team who does (including myself), we will most likely lose. Gotta be aggressive.

Guys, when you're playing on Saltsprang Rig, make sure you have someone on the large platform at all times.

Speaking of Saltsprang, I've noticed that there's another way up from the lower level to the upper. If you don't want to wait for the lifts, or want a more stealthy approach, on the edges there are pipes you can ink; you can squid straight up from the lower level to the upper. However, there's a catch - the pipes are above water, so you either make it up or you're going to take a quick trip back to base. Definitely an advanced move, but it does seem to be a bit quicker and sneakier than taking the lifts or the ramps.

Man this game is great. I really, really suck at it though.

I really am hurting for some voicechat though, coordination is really a must for this game. My friends and I are going to have to skype chat or something to really get going.

When the ranked play comes out they really should patch in voicechat.

Oh my WiiU name is Chojin. Feel free to send friend requests :)

Lets GAF this sucker~

Just played with someone who spent the whole game trying to camp in a corner. Didn't even bother to paint the floor.

That's moment when if we had a voice chat we would just insult that camper who is not painting.
I don't that feeling >.> (Moba player here)

One thing Chargers have to be is aggressive, especially when competing vs Splattershots. You should rarely stand still. It's tempting, but that Splattershot you're aiming for can still hit and splat you. Make roads. Don't feel like it's necessary to always pick a fight, especially when they have control. The Charger has enough range to make a road for you to swim past the enemy blockade. You will have to be fast to make more roads because smart Splattershots can splat you fast.

Spent a whole round with our team getting pushed back by opposing forces until some of us managed to flank our way through in the last 50 seconds and reclaim the entire map that they had covered. We ended up winning with several points more.

Never give up. The odds can always look up.

I'm off to bed for now.

I like how your experienced gained is equivalent to how well you played. Makes levelling up much easier compared to other games.

Dominated one match on the Skatepark. Two of us kept the other team at the base, while the other two painted the rest of the map lol.

I keep getting lots of this bullshit.
Part of me wishes the game had voice chat so that i could tell them how to actually play.

But that could be solved with a d pad message like "paint the floor" or something I dunno.

I feel like the charger's best attribute is mobility and cutting off other team's mobility. The fact you can make a direct path without having to pop up every few seconds is a huge boon for other players

Liking the way my character looks now :P Why is this game so damn stylish!

This game is the ultimate can you see the difference between 30 and 60 fps demo. Going from 60 fps matches to the 30 fps plaza is extremely jarring.

what I like: rollers that run straight towards you like a reckless maniac
what I dislike: rollers that assassinate you from behind while you try to snipe someone else

Sorry if this has been asked repeatedly, but how do I enter a GAF lobby? Is it similar to Mario Kart where I enter a group of some sorts and multiple games run simultaneously?

Anyone have some tips for using the sniper rifle? I found it was great against the rollers, but it seems pretty weak for painting.

The rollers are adapting at a terrifying rate. In other news, probably going to get on now (at Level 1 to SplatGAF's 9000+). Hope I don't get lit the fuck up! :lol

Which is why not having voice chat was a great decision. There would far too much toxicity in this game otherwise.

Pretty cool game! Weapons have a shorter range than they look like they should, but that's just me being a nub.

I'm going to trust you guys on sticking to motion controls because they feel a little unwieldy at times!

So are there any other outfits similar to the one the green squid amiibo gives?

I know it's heresy around these parts but I'm not a big fan of the squid kid design so something that covers up the avatar would be ideal.

inb4 dudebro remarks.

There's a gas mask, and also an octoling glasses thing that covers a lot of their face. The green squid amiibo is the most drastic change though.

Do we know what would happen if someone was wearing Amiibo gear in the lobby and you tried to order it from Spyke without having the Amiibo? Would you not be able to get it?

What's going on here? I got into more matches in the Global Test Fire than I did at all tonight. Really turned off by this, also you can't leave while you're waiting 10 years for a match, WTF?!?

Has Nintendo said anything about why it's been so shitty today?
