Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Added a bunch more people who requested me. Rejoining gaf room that I got communication errored out of now.

Edit: my Internet is acting up for some reason. Going to try to figure out why before playing again.

Sendou what is your NNID? I couldn't find it on the spreadsheet. For future matches, I just want the chance to be on your team. hahaha

I don't know. I feel like there should be some immunity when you land or something. Or it should jump you to where your partner IS and not where they WERE when you hit jump on the gamepad. There is no way to tell when your teammates are getting shot up since no one can tell you, and often times the jump takes so long that by the time you land either your team mate saw the threat and are running away, or are already dead and you're a sitting duck.

There have been multiple times I've died because I jumped to a partner who saw that someone was setting up a Killer Wail, and they had run away and got out of the line of fire, but it jumped me right into a death. I don't know how that's me using the mechanic badly when there is no indication that my partner was in any danger in the first place.

Only use it when you know it's safe. There are abilities that allow you to see other team mates from your spawn point. There are also echolocation specials and such.its a risk reward situation
I just look to see if there is opposite color ink splotching up around the area i am jumping to. If there is I may avoid it because I'm unsure of the danger

I just choose a team mate's location surrounded by my team's color.

this what I do as well. I take a second or two to scope out where I'm going and then I either choose to super jump or I'll just decide against it.

I really like the risk/reward factor of the superjump. it's a really great mechanic if you use it properly. also being able to superjump back to base can be pretty crucial, haven't seen many people use that.

So I'm gonna assume finding more/all sunken scrolls will unlock a few weapons as well? Gonna look for some now since I did miss quite a few.

Gonna pop online after that so if people here want to add me, I'll try to join you guys in a bit. nnid=MrPanic

I think the only ones that unlock weapons are the ones you get from the boss levels. I can't guarantee this however because I was collecting the scrolls as I was going through the levels and thus had all the scrolls for a world before fighting a boss.

I just realized Calli and Marie's group name is Alternative Indy as fuck in English.

I mean, what kind of music would you expect a group called "The Human Sisters" to make irl?

I just played on an all-roller team. We won 47.5% - 44.3%. I don't know what to believe anymore. Nothing makes sense to me. There is no reality.

After using a bunch of different weapons, I feel like the standard shooters are dull in comparison because of their simplicity lol.

Only boss scrolls give weapon blueprints.

No your ideals are horrible.

Superjumping is perfect as it is now. It can be powerful by getting you teammate quicker into battle but if you jump with without taking care then you die.

People need to stop jumping constantly. There is also a command, down on the d pad to say come here.

If you want to jump wherever you want then use one of your perk slots to get the perk that doesn't show your jump location.

Superjumping has pros and con's like everything in this game. It is perfect as it is now. People just need to learn to use the come here command.

Guys, I'm not sure why but I just bought this game. It's downloading now.

The thing is, my internet gives me a horrible time with my Wii U and 3DS. I can almost never connect to anyone online. The error I always get is "Cannot connect to partners device" or something similar.

Every once in awhile I will get in a match, but it's super spotty.

I have tried just about everything suggested in Nintendo's FAQ for internet setting, but I'm not network savvy so I could use some help if someone knows better.

I've tried port forwarding, DMZ settings, UPnP, etc.

So if you know something I don't, please help me out, and hopefully see you online. :-)

I would call Nintendo and let them troubleshoot with you. They might have a fix for your particular router/modem.

Changed my Mii name to 'Pinku' now if you see me pop up in your matches.

:lol I just did the same for mine, changed from "Colin 2014" to "skies". Splatoon has taken over our miis!
I'll be sticking to Nathan.

I also won't be adding too many people here because I don't want my rooms to immediately get full of GAFers before the people I actually want to play with join. Sorry fellas. That and tonight will be my first longer session and I want to be able to actually play the game instead of spending half of it respawning.

I smell fear ;)

Yeah, the problem is that there are limited ways to know this. There is nothing saying that there isn't a squid hiding around one of my team mates and isn't going to jump out while I'm in mid air. I don't think I've even had the option to buy a piece of clothing with one of these abilities yet. This would have been one of the things that would have been easily fixed with voice chat. Or at the very least, like I said, making the jump go to where you team mates are instead of where they were.
