Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Heh, I just finished story mode. After the hype the final boss of Metal Gear Rising got, and how underwhelming I found him (I loved his character but didn't find the fight itself fun) , I was kinda skeptical about this game's final boss, but nope, it was awesome. Easily the highlight of the story mode.

Which row of amiibo challenges unlock the mini-games?

Fourth row for the inkling girl, I imagine it's the same for all of them.

If disconnects were not penalized it could be abused by people wanting to leave unfavorable matches. Now that would be far more annoying because you'd have a lot more matches with missing people and it is a more complicated problem to handle. Just take it as the alternative is worse.

They could should give you a rejoin option at least. It feels dumb to immediately rejoin a fresh room after a d/c.

Absolutely LOVING the extra range splatterscope gives me. I don't even need to charge all the way for kills because of damage buffs, lmao.

oh god I did it, I looked

what am I doing with my life?????

I regret nothing

I had zero disconnects when playing Turf War but ~10 with Ranked. Yeah, really shouldn't cost any points, or at least way less.
here's an idea if they gave a time out if you disconnect X amount of time in let's say 1 hour
You could still play in this time out but just not rank

super fun game but WTF

played ranked for first time today.

'lule' decides to look at the sky at spawn point for the entire match. ALRIGHT so we get fucked over. Oh well, disconnects happen. play again. fucking lule, looking at the sky. wtf lule. how did you get in another match.

I was ready to write a new thread about how 'nintendo is actually good at online' because everytime I play the netcode 'seems' flawless. but then I thought how in the fuck did lule get ot play twice? where was the smashbros style 10 mins penalty for dickbaggery?!

Just saw an Inkling on the opposing team disappear in a tuft of smoke. It took me a full minute to realize that it was because of a disconnect versus thinking there was some Shadow Clone/Doppelganger skill available.

Now I want Dopplegangers as a special weapon. Adding that to the list with "Spy" transformations.

it's unfortunate for people who don't have access to spotless internet but come on, you can't have dcs prevent ranking point loss

people would be plugging left and right the second their team falls behind

Starting to feel that Echolator is clearly the worst special in the game.

No, not because of its lack of use, but because using it turns your team into complete and utter morons that are hellbent on padding their K-D ratio rather than actually inking anything. Keep on losing Walleye Warehouse matches today because we push the other team so far towards their base that everyone decides to start spawn camping 1-2 players while letting the rest of them run rampant on the map and turn a whitewash into a defeat.

lol, I love their facial expressions

......because he makes me feel better about my own play time

I got one this morning that killed me:

*Second Ranked stage is Port Mackerel*
Callie: Holy mackerel!
Marie (expression of someone who has had one pun too many): ...really?

I find that happens all too often with or without echolocator. It's been the bane of multiplayer shooters since the first control point style map was created.

Had another pretty good day in ranked. I really like the dual squelcher. The range is great. Went 11-3, in that I had a 7 game winning streak. Now im sitting pretty at B- with 66 points. Hopefully I can replicate that again tomorrow and get to B. I dont like playing ranked too long because I eventually lose my focus and start playing badly.

Has anyone come up with a "best build" yet? I know some of the abilities are random, but there still must be a pretty slick combination of gear.

Phew. Almost 48 hours later and I can finally play Splatoon again. I'm gonna need some serious warm up.

Tenacity, Ninja Squid, Swim Speed Up (to counteract the slower speed from NS), Ink Resistance Up and then a bunch of skills to complement your weapon (eg. for ink guzzlers main saver up, for Aerospray RG special charge up).

Then stay back and hunt down those who are trying to break through. It should be relatively simple to determine where they are by looking at the map.

On port mackerel I'm always the one that stays back and defends the zone nearest to our base. I would be the one to take the other zone but I'm always afraid everyone will run off and leave our zone undefended

damn, just had 3 knockout wins in a row

the blaster is the fucking truth

I go with opening gambit on my hat, ninja squid on my shirt, and ink resistance up on my shoes. I really like this set up for how I play.

Imo the best tactic is defending that zone until the last 30 seconds and then make a concentrated effort at taking the area onwards.
