They need to patch in the ability to select region. Every time there's two Japanese names on a team, the connection just goes to garbage. I wish they do something like Mario Kart where you can pick your region or worldwide. Maybe if the game gets more popular?

I swear I disconnect shortly into the match every single time I'm forced to wait in the lobby for "the next available battle"

Hardly ever disconnect otherwise, but everytime I join a match like that, I have massive connection problems and disconnect almost straight away.

Any explanation for why everything plays fine for me with seven japanese names in my games?

It used to be funny how people blamed japanese players for lag, and their teammates for a loss, but now its just tiring and bordering on prejudice.

Sorry for bailing on you after 1 game Panic, but gotta eat. Nice job putting up almost 1k without the bonus though

I don't know, but I had the same problem in Mario Kart when I played world wide. Almost every disconnect and really laggy game I've had has that as a common thing. And, it must be frustrating for them as well. Maybe it is my connection. But, that's been the issue. And, it sucks for me, it sucks for everyone else playing, and the fix for me in Mario Kart was just to play within my region. It's not about prejudice, but location; it's like choosing a low ping server on a PC game because it is closest to me. That's all.

And, I'm sorry if that's been a common complaint from people. I don't follow this thread religiously.

I've had plenty of games with tons of Japanese players where everything is fine. I've also had games where Japanese players with rollers kill me from 10 feet away 5 seconds after they've died. It happens a lot and when it does its extremely frustrating and noticeable. No one is freaking out about it, its just not fun when it happens.

Better net infrastructure and no restrictive ISPs lol

I'm seriously fucking tired of knowing I'm in the range for the KO and getting fucked because herp derp gal weapons take two to my five hits and have longer reach. I need a better weapon. =/

Don't abandon me, Azure. Not now.

well there's just not that much gear in the game to begin with, which is why it only gives you like one or two 3* items per day even at rank 20. otherwise you'd have everything in a week.

I'm never giving up on the Aerospray MG because that load out is too fucking fun, but seeing myself lose so frequently on those Mackerel turf wars had me wondering what I was doing wrong.

Also SM239 is just ridiculously aggressive. Probably the most aggressive player I've fought against on GAF or in general.

The vast majority of matches I play end up being with Japanese players. For the most part I haven't noticed any major lag except on a few isolated instances.

That said, it's just anecdotal but the Japanese players seem to be less skilled than the other players I play with.

At first they were more skilled imo, but I guess the world players have overtaken them.

Then stay back and hunt down those who are trying to break through. It should be relatively simple to determine where they are by looking at the map.

I usually do hang back to hold the line, but when it is two rollers going in different directions that both break out Krakens that are fully marked, and the rest of the team still ignores them.... Well then there is little I can do to clear up the huge mess they'll end up causing before they go down.

you know a japanese player has slow reflexes when you splat them and live

i wouldn't say less skilled at all though, in fact i've seen most next level strats come from them

Aerospray fitst exactly my game play style, just making runway of paint to squid to the face and not the scatter makes it less pinpoint aming. Also good in are control while squiding to the area

I heard there were 90 Shirts, 50 Shoes and 50 Hats...I got like 20-30 of each max.

On the good side of RNG, I got in 2 good matches of Splatzones and i'm back to C+!

EDIT: Okay, 36 Hats, 42 Shirts and 38 Shoes. Maybe I got more than I thought lol.

So I went on a huge losing streak on Ranked and it was the most nonsense shit ever. I would always be paired with a terrible team and I made sure to leave every lobby. I would get first or second every time it was never enough. I then got dropped to B+ where I almost dropped to B cause of the same shit, but then I managed to get it up to 82 points.

So Spyke let me down once again. Ordered a 3 slot 1* shirt he will sell me a 1 slot version. Well I've got a two slot 1* shoe to try tomorrow.

Shame I deleted some orders of things I actually needed for this experiment.

You're lucky this game doesn't have any "take a break" messages
Isn't that what the news report kinda is :(

Anybody have that damage/defense spreadsheet that says how much damage weapons do? I'm seeing a noticeable difference with damage up, but I like exact numbers.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RypvHABq22S1wGJY_UtBJIklfl9p8vjfQx0btziq-Co/edit?pli=1#gid=0
Attack up is terribly lame though as it doesn't let you overcome the number of hits it takes to KO (defence up can make .52 gal a 3HKO though) so as a result its use is literally .52 gal users countering defence up and confident chargers who can OHKO at a slightly lower charge or rare events when foe is not at full health or a double team.

I suppose it is done to stop things like the Aerospray benefiting greatly.

I'm 4 pairs of shoes away from being complete on shoes (assuming the
50+3 amiibo
number I heard was accurate)

One of the missing pairs of shoes is the 3* one with Ink resistance up :(

the number of stars is how many slots it will have. if there was an item that had more slots than stars that means whoever you saw it on paid spyke to add the extra slots.

you're probably playing 8 year olds so

it's funny realising how much depends on setting up pools of ink and pathways, it's my usual instinct to just leap into the fray but without advantageous ink placement it's almost always suicide. so hard to curb those TF2 scout/pyro instincts though

ninja squid and scattershot/aerospray are a fantastic combo, lay down a massive field of ink and then mindgame the shit out of enemies before shooting them right in their dumb faces
