This is just one of those superhero films that writes itself into a lot of corners due to the power level of the villain.
That's kind of amusing. She turned down Vanessa in Deadpool because the character didn't have enough substance and chose to be Psylocke instead. Maybe they'll bring her back for another movie.
I wonder what Apocalypse meant when he said the truth is revealed?
If your moving as fast as quicksilver, you do infact get quite a increase in strength, infact the faster you move, the harder your gonna hit something for instance.I took it as "Oh shit, the Phoenix." and he thought of himself as weak and accepted death.
Minor nitpick, but was it weird that seemingly Quicksilver had super strength? Hurling kids into the air during the explosion and knocking around Apocalypse like a pinball.
I thought the fight would have been much better if Quicksilver broke his hand against Apoc the first time he tried to hit him.
In the X-men universe, doesn't being related to another mutant negates their powers?
Because it would be kind of difficult to rule a planet that was an irradiated waste zone. Mutants aren't immune to radiation. So a big part of the movie I didn't get was why didn't apocalypse just have magneto pull down the nukes form space
Yeah, a mutants powers can't harm themselves, and if you're related to a mutant, and you try to use your powers on your sibling, the powers will cancel out.

I didn't know it was a general rule. Does it work with parents/children ? Is Magneto immune to Wanda's magic ? And all the Summers children immune to optic blasts ? Can't Nightcrawler teleport Mystique ?
I know that if Havoc and Cyclops start blasting at each other, they essentially are just shooting off pinkish fireworks.
It appeared they put them far enough out in orbit that they wouldn't come back down. Also, if they still have their momentum then they'd just keep moving further and further away from Earth. Some may get pulled into a gravitational field of another planet or moon though. What im really curious about is....
(also im really embarassed about asking it because its probably a very stupid question)
...does that actually work in real life?
I mean, fire all the nukes into space, we are suddenly free of all nuclear warfare?
Wouldnt it just.... i dont know.... bite earth in the ass sometime later?

1. Nothing really. Superman sent all the nukes to the sun in Superman 4 and it was fine, haha.1 - What could go wrong aside from "Well, this one didnt get far enough and the earth gravity is pulling it back"? I mean, if it hits the moon, the sun, other planets.... anything could go wrong?
2 - (not a question but) maybe alien races from the xmen universe could get really mad about this event, like "What the hell is earth thinking sending nuclear missiles in all directions?" and decide to retaliate earth in some future xmen movie

It wasn't. They were all stunt doubles. Was that Munn at the beginning? The Horseman who sacrificed herself to protect Apoc as the pyramid collapsed on top of him?
Looked a little like her under all that makeup.
It wasn't. They were all stunt doubles. The other woman (not the one that protects Apocalypse) is actually Storm's stunt double. Saw some of their behind the scenes photos on Twitter.

Munn defense force out in full form. Im just saying i liked her better on g4tv being herself than in any movie role. She was just a blank stare the whole movie.
Come to think of it, I actually didn't understand what Magneto was doing at the end with his circular magnetism / metal shards. Maybe somebody can explain that to me.
I think his powers probably work if he is ready and adrelanine, if he isnt just aware of the danger he wont react fast enough as he seemingly can go from percieving everyone and everything in slow motion to just regularly.I actually really enjoyed the movie, went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised, I liked it a lot more than DOFP, it actually even kind of retroactively made me appreciate future past more since they really gave some added weight to the climax.
Movie had tons of flaws but the one that is just...ridiculously dumb to me is how we spend 5 minutes watching quicksilver save hundreds of students in the time span of 10 seconds?....yet Stryker shows up with his helicopter and just shoots them?! are you kidding me? With the powers he just demonstrated it makes no sense why he couldn't have dispatched every single one of those fools the microsecond those weapons started pointing towards them.
I'm so grateful she turned down the role as Venessa.Bwhahaha
Just watched the IGN spoiler video and they inter-cut it with a 10 minute interview of Lana Condor talking about Jubilee and I just feel soooo bad for her. She hadn't seen the movie yet so she's talking about all the stuff we shot and how we'd get her back story and see her powers. She even had LED light things attached to her hands for the VFX guys to get light sources for her powers which actually electrocuted her a bit, but she didn't say anything cause she didn't wanna come off as a whiny actor, haha.

I feel Alexandra Shipp nailed it with Storm. Way better with the characyer than Halle. Here is hoping she can be utilized for the future sequels.
Felt the movie tried to do too much and suffered for it. But I think it was a great movie and this new trilogy easily better than the last.
