Spring 2014 Anime |OT2| about as likely as a second season of Hyouka

I do love a good hat.
I really burnt myself out today by watching a lot of anime today. Finally found time to start Captain Earth and for some reason Akuma no Riddle. Tomorrow I'll watch the Madoka Movie trilogy. I know the first and second movies are recaps, but I haven't seen the series since it aired, so it'll be a nice refresher.
Akuma no Riddle 01-10
Picked it up due to a friend suggestion. He loves it a lot and I honestly can't tell what's to like about it. The first few episodes did catch my interest, but when it obviously became a rinse and repeat sort of deal, interest died extremely quickly. There are only a few episodes left so I might as well stick around, eh. I'd like the characters to be fleshed out a bit more, but considering that they're assassins and time constraints, I suppose doing that is meaningless and would hurt the show a bit.
Captain Earth 01-10
Now I understand why I got a mixed reaction when I asked out it. Hana's cuteness aside, I enjoy the series. The characters mesh well and the overall writing is okay... But as of late, like I said with Akuma no Riddle, the episodes lately have been rather dry since it's become a simple copy and paste job. At least in this one they mixed it up and have Teppei fight this time and based on the preview, next week might be a breath of fresh air.
Soredemo Sekai Was Utsukushii 09
This episode was really nice. I really doubt Kitora will steal Nike away with how their relationship grew in this episode.
Jojo no Kimjou na Bouken Stardust Crusaders 10
Hey, what happened to Ann? I could've sworn she was on the train "with" them in the last episode. I would've thought they "found her by chance" or caught her following them or something.
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei 10
An episode where pretty much nothing happening and the only time where Mayuki can show off of her character she does nothing more than talk about her Onii-sama. Then again, I guess that's all she really do in that department...
Mekakucity Actors 09
Thank you SHAFT for screwing up the one part of the episode I really wanted to see most. As for the episode itself, since Kano was filling in for Ayano at school, does this mean that Shintaro fell for him and not the real Ayano? Man that's weird.

Who gives a flying fuck about her, they should've all been praising Onii-sama for allowing them to be in his presence.They should be fucking honored that his incandescent aura is nearby, praise him even. Onii-sama is love and life. Also Miyuki clearly bullshitting that she doesn't want that Onii-dick, don't lie for social reasons, Wixoss has taught us that wincest is a-ok in society.

lol this reminded me that someone I told to watch the Bakemonogatari series is currently taking a break after watching that episode. I think it's been almost a month and he hasn't continued the show

Only SHAFT could toss in a CG opening and I would still think the episode was great. Nice to see more backstory as well as adorable family moments.
Persona 3 Movie 1: Spring of Birth
Best husbando.
Very nicely done. Nicely animated, the action scenes were very good, the pacing wasn't completely terrible (I did laugh at the time skipping montage) and I like how Makoto is portrayed here.
This also reminded me Akihiko is still the best, Junpei is quite whiny at the start and Yukari is still whiny all the time.
Kamigami no Asobi 10
Tsundere talk to the teacher. Fun episode, doing a play with the gods where things go wrong was fun to watch.

That was some elaborate scheme of creating costumes, tricking people and building another new mecha just to catch Pikachu.

Squid girl continues to learn about the world.
Only SHAFT could toss in a CG opening and I would still think the episode was great. Nice to see more backstory as well as adorable family moments.

TLG as a whole has been an embarrassment for all parties involved. The crazy ass fans, Sony Japan for not whipping Team Ico into shape, and Team Ico not putting out a game after half a decade.
