Seitokai Yakuindomo OVA 3

Hopefully it gets at least another OVA, yeah. Another season would be even better of course. How have the OVAs sold?

Seitokai Yakuindomo OVA *1,920+*5,538=*7,458 (GoHands)
2012/04/25 *1,920
2012/04/25 *5,538

Seitokai Yakuin Domo *1,592+*4,595=*6,187 (6) (Go Hands)

Sold better than the TV series.

I think GOHANDS focusing on stuff like Mardock Scramble and K are the reasons we haven't got a second season, also maybe source material could be a factor...

Hideaki Anno is hosting a Special Effects Exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo this Summer. As part of the exhibition, they will be screening a short film produced by Studio Ghibli, planned by Hideaki Anno, and directed by Shinji Higuchi. It is a live action special effects short film called 'Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo'. It features a live action recreation of the Giant God Warrior from Nausicaa, imagined as a threat to the modern world.

For those unaware, Ultraman and the Giant God Warrior are the two source inspirations for Anno's Evangelion. He is paying homage here to both the effects industry that created Ultraman, and the design of the God Warrior from Nausicaa, with Ghibli's blessing. Good Smile Company is also cashing in on this with a Giant God Warrior Statue Replica and a Giant God Warrior figma, also linked above.

Enjoy. :D

isn't kirino focusing on the immoto character types and ignoring the rest ?

They have to , unless there is no point in this anime to exist...

She probably buys the games exclusively for those characters.
Can't see her having much fun with School Days if that was the case though.

I kind of wish this aquatic event would have lasted at least one more episode. It has been a pretty interesting arc for key members on the student council. Finally Akune and Zenkichi participated and it was hilarious.

Though what was really unexpected was
when Akune and Zenkichi threw the inflatables to where Medaka would land and she actually landed on all four, mindblown at their teamwork

This season must really be about excessive displays of affection first Mouretsu, now Medaka Box...

Hmmmm... the official announcement was expected to come after NTV's Friday Road SHOW! (金曜ロードSHOW!) emission of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (http://www.ntv.co.jp/kinro/lineup/20120511/index.html), so... maybe we could even see a preview or something like that from there!

Wow. We're back to episode 2's quality level.

I think they've finally moved away from the introductions, and now we're getting to see the real dynamics between the characters. The directing in this episode was very fluid, the background music was good stuff, and the setting was interesting.
They shoot men? Bwahaha.
Hell, there was even some nice
true yuri
.

Those flashbacks are strangely awesome. The "music"... Wut.

They had a press conference today though. It's already officially announced.
Well, yeah... I see that, what I meant to say is that some people expected the announcement after the movie emission because NTV said they would announce something when it finalized, but now that this has been officially announced (by officially I mean not leaked by Studio Ghibli's exhibitor detail page provided by the TAF) I suppose that maybe they had planned to show something more for that moment, like a preview.

Lupin III: A woman named Fujiko Mine - Prison of Love.

I feel disappointed to mirror what I said last week, but again, I didn't enjoy this as much as everyone else has seemed too. The story was good and the animation was nice... but once again, this is not why I watch and love the Lupin franchise. I thoroughly enjoyed episodes one to three, but four to six have all left me with complaints / little niggles that just wont allow me to enjoy the episodes.

As for this episode, episode six, there was only one part of it I really enjoyed (and it only lasted for about twenty seconds.)
When Zenigata and Oscar are in the office together and Zenigata receives the Lupin calling card. Before he read the card he was happy to send Oscar out on the assignment, but after seeing it he got quite excited and wanted to go himself.
This is how Zenigata should and always has acted. I really like that aspect of his character. He has to capture Lupin and he is the only one capable of doing it.

The
flashback sequence
with Fujiko was unsettling and I just do not like Oscar's character. I can understand why he / she has so many fans and I don't mind that... he / she just isn't a character I can get along with and enjoy.

So yeah... another disappointing episode for me. I still think the major problem this series has is that it's about Fujiko and not a more likeable character. I can appreciate this "hard and dangerous" side of things, but there are other way to convey said message than this.

oh, Yayoi~

So this whole episode was just a huge advertisement for Osaka and Natto-Gyoza candy. I don't know much about natto or gyoza, but that sounds pretty disgusting to me.

BvarB.jpg

Nao agrees with me!

Anyway, this episode was a bit of a stepdown from last weeks, but it was still better than episode 12!

Lots of [censored] from both Nao and Yayoi this week.

And finally, March notices the blue noses! I wonder if they'll have a separate episode for each of the Precures to notice, since we've already have 3.

Lupin III 6

This episode was great, and felt like a real return to form. There was still enough "action", but it got back in the characters' heads in a way that the show hadn't done in a while.

It's now pretty clear how Oscar feels about Zenigata. I had to have evidence rubbed in my face to acknowledge it. I guess I have a real blind spot for this sort of thing.

I can't believe how good this season is.

I haven't seen anything with the line filter in a while that was as bad as Fujiko on a bike at the end of episode 1, and I'm a real fan of it now.

Is it just me, or does it say "Zenigata Oscar" on his police badge in that .gif?

Depends what you mean, they still use it a little too much, but it no longer cuts off in a neat line like the first two episodes.

That's what I meant. Good to hear.

I have Lupin on hold since episode 3. Maybe I should give it a try but all the

nudity
spoilers make me think that the show is still more style than substance.

That may be true, but there is definitely some substance behind all of it.

And this is one of those shows where I'd go all pizzaroll and say the style is inseparable from the substance.

Hahahaha, so the genre shift is actually brought up by
fights against amazing top students from special classes?
How bizarre, haha. I'm honestly really interested in seeing how things will pan out then.

Why do I get the feeling everyone is trying hard to imply that the three kids from the swimming team would resort to prostitution if it came to that? I mean, that money pool won't fill itself.

This episode was ok. Acchi Kocchi has taught me that shounen-fied high school sports and activities are cool.

NSFW? lol

And, yeah... Now some people have a reason other than Shiranui to watch this, I guess?

These episodes are getting harder and harder to watch, and only one troll moment from Shiranui, which didn't help matters.
