Living in the shadow of Amaz
Sket Dan more than Medaka Box, though Medaka box has been getting better each week. Though curious how it will turn out when the worst kept secret moment of the series comes to pass.

Is it really a secret, though? It wouldn't even be wise for it to be one.

I don't think I would be watching the series anymore if I didn't know about it.

These episodes are getting harder and harder to watch, and only one troll moment from Shiranui, which didn't help matters.

I don't want to spoil but
she will stop trolling for a while only to reappear better than evar
BUt there should be a huge action arc that should make her disappear,
be warned ...

Isn't this show only like 12 episodes, or was that just a rumor?

Also I don't want Shiranui to stop her trolling. thats the best part.

Finally back on track.
Oscar continues to be an ass, Fujiko continues her sexual antics with added yuri action, what an odd school that is, seems like most of the students are lesbians and not only that armed and dangerous. Also the trippy music from episode 4 makes a grand return. Fun episode overall.

Pirikapiri lala poporila peperuto! I turn you into cute animu. Quite nice so far, save for the fact that the wand and the pendant look like they might be sold as a toy somewhere. I can definitely see where the Sailor moon comments come from. The expressions and transformations both reminded me of it. Will stick with it for sure. Also the OP is pretty awesomely cute. Can't get enough of it.

Didn't cosmic say that it's likely not going to happen in the anime?

He may have said that, but I really don't think that's true. We're up to chapter 12 in the anime, and the genre shift apparently happens at around chapter 16. We still have 6 more episodes to go.

You mad, bro?

Well, that was a wasted hour.

The majority of this film is so very dull. The only part I liked from the first half was the golden mouse, Oeufcoque, and his interactions with the main character, Balot.

A textbook "I utilize only the logic I have been given, but do know the values of companionship and emotion." Not unlike Legion from Mass Effect in ways (a character I enjoy).

Guf8s.jpg

This scene gave a chuckle.

However, I can't say the same for the rest of the cast. I take it that the viewer is suppose to feel sympathy for Balot, but the
rape
and prostitution just didn't cut it for me. Don't get me wrong, they don't always fail to get to me (just usually). It just wasn't portrayed in a manner worthy of any sympathy. Maybe I was the only one who thought this? And without those points, she has no redeeming factors. Innocent victim, but not likable, hell, I'm not even on her "side."

The
rape
scenes aren't even "effective". It's always just some fat man rolling his belly all over the place. I am guessing they are made to add pathos points towards the main, but it all felt very tame to me. Not even shocking enough to think aloud "TITS!" or "Is this a softcore porno?" They're just...there.

The villains are lame, but the extra designs on one group in particular was a laugh. When I saw the
arm
of "Mincemeat the Wink." I burst out laughing. It has been one of the most silly, ridiculous things I have seen from the medium all year. And "Fresh the Pike"? LOL He just came out of a Blade movie. Welldone, the Pussyhand...I laughed and laughed.

Now in the collective of things here, they are all of the same gang, so the theme is "they're all batshit crazy". I would go further on how very not disturbing/creepy it was and instead, how terrible and laughable it was. But I'll leave it as the minimal entertainment this film was able to muster.

Also, there are so many CG cars. They wouldn't even look good in Burnout Paradise! The film should have been much more humble about their ugly vehicles rather than flaunt them.

I expected tits and some action.

The "tits" were plentiful for the beginning, but subpar. Again, they aren't even shown in a sensual way, they just sit there...I was not impressed.

The action fared better, some nice animation too, but really took a long time to kick in. I wasn't even able to get a single taste before. I was also disappointed that there was a lack of acrobatic action from our lead. However, there was still the good ol' blood and screams. There are some explosions, but they're more of a side dish. Overall, it's "aight", could have gone better or worse.

I know people in this forum that would probably enjoy this film.
For them I say, go for it. For everyone else (and for myself), it's largely a waste of time.

Sounds terrible enough to enjoy.

Zetman 6

How many different women important to the main character can this show put in peril and in need of rescue at the same time?

Kouga is such a stupid character. That entire scene in which he discussed with his backup team
how many people he could fit into that flying thing
was so incredibly pointless.
There was absolutely no need for Jin to be rescued, and there was absolutely no need for him to go away with the girls, since they're both pretty capable of defending themselves against cockroaches.
But, no. They need to talk about that stupid argument, and then get back to that ridiculous "how can you be a hero if...?" thing. There are no other heroes! Who are you to decide who's able to be one? Uuuugh. "Who will you choose? Hurrr." So annoying.

The
transformation scene
was pretty good, though.

Why is this a big deal at all?
WELL, it seems there’s a bit of controversy over on the INTERTRONZ about the English renaming of one of the very best shows currently featured here on Crunchyroll, Bodacious Space Pirates!

Based on some of the feedback we’ve gotten from our users, some of you are none too pleased with the use of the word “Bodacious” in the title. The argument goes that this show is too intelligent, too serious, and just too good to saddle it with the word “Bodacious”.
And they have a poll there with other names

Yeah Kouga is pretty useless. However Jin gets all the epic moments so I can put up with Kouga if we get more of

Upotte - 5.
orgasm333.jpg

Little late to the Upotte train but god damn. This show really is climax of imagination.
Weird though that they went with 5.56mm variant of Sako RK95 as there was very limited amount of those manufactured. Original RK95 used 7.62mm bullet like its little brother RK62. great gun though! Used it in Finnish army during conscript service.

ooh, that sounds intresting. I am really tempteing to catch up with it now, when does it happen roughly?

It's probably going to happen in episode 8. It SHOULD happen in 7, but it looks like they're going back to cover a story they missed.

The problem is while I do like the first genre-shifted arc, it's really more an introduction than anything else. Kind of there to ease you into it without getting too high scale. If the show is indeed only 12 episodes, that's all we'll get to unfortunately.

However, the pic articalys posted is from the 2nd arc, which either means Gainax are assholes for teasing it or they plan to get that far.

There's a second?

He just means the 2nd arc after the shift.

It occurred to me that a lot of you guys weren't around when I watched Infinite Ryvius, so I'm going to recommend that now. It has all of the things that animeGAF loves:

Childhood friends

Self-inserts

Cute animals

Obsolete video games

Pedophilia

Toilet stalls

Women from Uranus

Manly tears

Nudity IN SPACE

Men of true principle

Insane women

Sexism

Bros being bros

Hand-animated space battles

NTR

Girls in ridiculous outfits

The adventures of post-GL Simon and his weird desire to cosplay as Buzz Lightyear

A '90s street gang

Norio Wakamoto

And much, much more! A Sunrise anime from the '90s, when they used to be good. From the director of Code GeassPlanetes.
Warning this post contains a dangerous amount of facts. I support Infinite Ryvius.

[Fujiko Lupin] - The Fifth One

As others said last week, I enjoy seeing Lupin and Jigen interact, but this episode was far from perfect. I had a hard time understanding what was going on in a number of actions sequences as well, which is never a good thing.

Also, you can't escape the prevalent Owl imagery that this show is obsessed with, even inside a pyramid.:

The oujo-sama character type is introduced! She's pretty boring, but the episode itself was better than the first. Bodyswap episodes are usually pretty funny, and this one was no exception.

Doremi asking those difficult questions

Of course, it had a moral worked in their as well, but what else would you expect? Hadzuki is really a much better child than Doremi is, if Doremi is really that unhelpful at home usually. Even Usagi does some stuff sometimes. I think.

HaC5c.jpg

"Where did my breasts go?"

Doremi had the funnier half of the show though, no steak for her. :( That has to hurt.

SEND FORTH THE KRAKEN

I think this is how most beginning violinists feel. That one I actually had sympathy for Doremi.

Lupin III: A Woman named Fujiko Mine 6

skk9b.jpg

Fingersex alert!

I don't need to be a Lupin veteran like checkeredknight and theWolf to know that this ISN'T what Lupin is all about.

That said, I liked it.

It seems that Lupin is to Zenigata what Fujiko is to
Oscar
. Naruhodo. There is also a romantic thing going on over the gaps of both pairs. I'm not sure if the series will play on this parallel much, but I think it could lead to something entertaining.

Also,
Oscar
is one sick fuck! To be fair, so are many others in the series, just not in the same flower petal.

Still liking the eyecatches.

The
wonderland of Fujiko is as trippy (symbolic?) as ever
. If this is how Fujiko is getting "development" it's quite the introduction. Nonetheless, it was a nice visual treat. Though, I never like
text on screen
for those types of things. It breaks immersion in the worst possible way and adds nothing that couldn't have been just said instead.

hYYYJ.jpg

More butterflies!

Yo checkeredknight, are butterflies representing Fujiko anything you have seen in other Lupin works? Or is this a new link from this new series all together?

Anyways, obsessed Zenigata
partner
to match with him. That should do nicely. Also a
trip scene
that most likely has something to do with the psychology of Fujiko?

Still unsure on whether I want more of that or more Lupin antics instead. Anyhow, I think the episode upheld itself decently.
