Pretty much.
My favorite shows though are stuff like Haibane Renmei, Satoshi Kon films, and stuff like Planetes and Space Bros and Chihayafuru. Shows that I honestly think the majority of gaf would actually find entirely inoffensive and perhaps even like some of it.

Hopefully this is just the pains of it being a full 50-episode series and they're conserving their strength for the home stretch.
