It would be, but when the credits are sparse or nonexistent for staff, I'm more compelled to look at a studio's recent track record (2-3 years) to predict competency and consistency for that work, even with studios that have a consistent culture. Has JC Staff changed much lately?
Watch through the first season and into the second. Also watch all of RKB. Assuming doesn't make it true.

J.C. Staff is as great as it ever was.
You can argue they still make memorable titles, but Yami and Zero no Tsukaima are a far cry from Utena.

Episode 7 was pretty close, but they can go even further.

I was kind of thinking about that. A good chunk of the posts are delighting in seeing what old shows others are suffering through. eg. Code Geass and Yami.
