There hasn't been the requisite ceremonial bloodshed yet. I say we each eat a piece of Ultimadrago's heart because he was the last junior to become active in the thread before the move.
Only half? We obviously aren't working hard enough if only half of GAF thinks this! But how will we ever reach the other half now, buried alive as we are in Community?!

Okay, wow, this is like super SUPER condensed. I fear there really wasn't enough time to flesh out the old man
before he died. Makes it a bit harder to care.
There's also A LOT that got cut out, some vital stuff, some not so vital stuff. Kind of miffed Jin's first act of "heroism" got cut out because it was awesome. Same regarding the
Player that killed the old man, because Jin was present during that and even fought the guy for a bit.
They also changed
Akemi's assailant from a common robber to the Player that killed the old guy.
I would say it was much better in the manga since it was more intense and really made you care about Akemi.
They also made Jin and Kouga acquaintances, something that didn't happen in the manga while they were kids; something that may cause... complications later on provided there aren't some drastic changes.
Anyway, what they did adapt was still very good. Fights were well animated and they had the atmosphere down. I think I would have rather they take 2 episodes to cover the childhood arc faithfully instead because they could clearly pull it off considering the manga's pacing, but this isn't bad either. Definitely watching to the end even if they decide to completely ignore the source material. Though at this point, I would still say the manga is exponentially better.
more if, you know, Shirou wasn't so baka. And drawn so ugly. Whoever designed Shirou's anime character appearance needs to be beaten severely about the head and neck. Really, Saber and Rin and Ilya and Sakura are all too good for baka Shirou, which makes him pretty much the ideal harem lead.
Let's just all take a bite out of cajunator's heart. There is definitely a lot of heart there. And it's nice and tender after being marinated by cuteness for many moons.
It is...you just have to link to things instead of inlining them!
I like your F/Z avatar. We should all pick a F/Z avatar! I've got Ilya covered, and you've got Rider. All the other important characters need a representative!
Fate/Stay Night 21:
Oh hey, I know why Saber has the ahoge on her head now.
Only an idiot would choose someone like Shirou!
All right, in all seriousness, it's fairly obvious what's really going on now. Just 3 episodes left to hash the whole thing out, I guess.
At a guess, the way the VN works is:
Fate route is Saber route, Unlimited Blade Works route is Rin route, and Heaven's Feel route is Sakura route. This route, the only one covered in the show, is the Fate route. A few little seasonings from the other routes are thrown in, like the whole deal with Rin and Sakura and Dark Sakura get a passing appearance from Heaven's Feel. I wonder if the Shirou you play as in the VN isn't quite so retarded, or if he's only retarded in the Fate route and un-retardifies once you unlock the UBW and HF routes.
Saint Seyia Omega 01
This show carries itself with a lot of confidence. Part of that is because of the history it has, part of it is just that the show seems to believe in itself. I liked all of the galactic imagery, dunno if I'd get tired of it after seeing it all the time but it wove itself into this episode really well at the very least. Music was a little inconsistent, kicked in too late in some spots and I wish it felt more "spacey" or something at times to help carry the cosmic setting, but some of the themes like the OP and the song during the transformation sequence were really strong.
Not really something I was expecting to like but I'm interested and wanting to watch more.
Honestly, I'd rather just keep watching Lost Canvas. I tried to be cool with the designs but no Pandora's boxes and the way the cloth literally transforms from a pegasus into the spandex and stockings made me cringe. I thought I could manage but even though I liked Heartcatch I see now that I really don't want it in my Saint Seiya.
