Well here is the thread... I have been spending some time searching for it.

I watched the original Birdy ova because some people in here mentioned it and it was really sweet. Birdy series are always well animated, and this old OVA had some real cool action animation. Sometimes key frames felt a little fast, though.

I really liked the animation found in Birdy's face. Bird's facial expressions were all entertaining, and made the whole series enjoyable. It made me really like her character. I honestly did not like that streak of white in her hair though. Birdy's sarcastic expressions were the best <3.

I'd totally go for a girl having control over half my body, and morphing into her sexy athletic form. I would also go for being inside one another, if you know what I mean.

aren't supposed to know what's up with Rin and Sakura until the last route of the VN, which the anime didn't adapt the events of.

This seems like the inevitable result of trying to mash up and condense stuff from multiple routes into one (in)coherent story.

The biggest problem with this mashup is that even with all these superfluous additions the anime never once bothers to explain one of the most important things of this story, which is the main character's (Shirou's) actual motivations and why he does what he does. The entire sequence that would give reason to his actions gets completely skipped over.

This episode conclusively spoils the ending of F/Z, but you see the final battle of the Fourth Holy Grail War (badly animated) right when the show starts at the beginning of the first episode. And it's really hard to watch this show without finding out everything that does (and doesn't) happen 10 years previously, so honestly by the point we got to the spoiler it wasn't even a spoiler, just a confirmation of everything you might have suspected up to this point. Of course, it's impossible for someone as awesome as
