Just popping In to say while I loved Heartcatch I really hated the middle lull episodes. I will always point to Fresh as a great Precure,Splash Star as well. Smile Is turning out to be really good though :).

Someone who knows what's up.

Now that we no longer have to keep up the pretense that we're not a bunch of creeps, does the thread get its special word back?

No? Okay.

Birdy the Mighty: Decode S2 end

Now THAT'S my kind of final showdown. People getting thrown through multiple buildings at once, dynamic camera angles, great choreography; virtually nothing to complain about. I will say that the art style shifts and frequent off-model scenes were a bit jarring, but it was excellent nonetheless.

This was really A LOT better than season 1 imo. The animation took a major jump in quality, the villains were more interesting and the plot was a little bit cooler. I really liked the refugees and Nataru. The show was really more about them than Birdy even if she did get a rather vital flashback. It would have been nice if they were fleshed out a bit more, particularly Moss and the frog twins.

I wish there was a bit more closure, but overall this was still pretty damn good. Think I'm going to check out the manga.

I forgot - did you watch the pizzaroll approved edition of Birdy, or the fixed home video release?

Senki Zesshou Symphogear 13 (end)

An 8 / 10 anime or rather a must buy on day one. Loved it over all even with all those really girly close to yuri type moments which were fortunately overshadowed by the epic action and cool music. Enjoyed the noise, the antagonist, and the action and intensity.

Favorite Characters: Mr. Ogawa, Kanade, Chris
Favorite Song: Gyakkou no Flugel - Zwei Wing, Oribital Beat (Off Vocal), Icchi-Bal

On ep 13: It was like the best two AMV's to ever be created, so intense.
utterly mindblowing for the action and the fakeout over the first episode. I loved Chris's arsenal of guns there, as well as Tsubasa's huge sword, wow! I also loved the mega Durandal laser
No qualms.

Does bizzaro pizzaroll have a SHAFT avatar?

Maybe bizzaro Jexhius will actually answer my questions. >_>

I think that, now that we're hidden away in Community, people will start showing their real faces.

I worry for everyone's mental health.

Fate/Stay Night 18:

I have to say, watching F/Z before this show really came in handy. This show doesn't explain at all what the deal is with
Sakura and Rin
, it just has the critical event happen and you, the viewer, are already supposed to know what's going on since you get so little useful information from the very vague flashback sequence. There's nothing worse than an adaptation which assumes you are familiar with the source material, and actually this show commits the crime of assuming that over and over again throughout it's entire run. There is no way I would have known what the fuck was going on when this show was airing unless I had read the VN, seeing as how F/Z wouldn't start airing until 5 years after this show aired!

Well, you
aren't supposed to know what's up with Rin and Sakura until the last route of the VN, which the anime didn't adapt the events of.
This seems like the inevitable result of trying to mash up and condense stuff from multiple routes into one (in)coherent story.

So from Saint Seiya? :p An actual Saint Seiya x Precure crossover might actually convince me to check out Precure. ^^;
Watch Heartcatch.
Precisely 'Los Gatos Samurái' aired here in Spain with the dub made by that company, and even people who usually criticize that kind of "imports" have admitted it was a really good one. It was that good.
It's no coincidence cartoon/animu dubbing in Latin America has gone to shit as Intertrack lost most of its old stars. I don't even know if they are still open.
