Fate/zero 14 - It's great to have this show back, this was a damn good episode, the atmosphere was extremely effective to, there's this strange lingering feeling throughout that more "shit is going down' even when shit was already going down to begin with. Can't wait for next week.
Maybe something like this is nothing new, but the situation on Lupin the Third: A Woman Called Fujiko Mine work described by Eddie Mehong (didi) is so stressful (http://www.catsuka.com/interf/forum/viewtopic.php?p=388675#p388675)! They are working continuously and practically during all hours of the day, all days of the week. People in charge of production sleeping on the studio, without going home.
Reasons for this? Apparently the pre-production for the series was very long, and now because of that they are trying to keep in-check for the coming deadlines until the end of June.

The manga is really, really gross. It's straight out guro-porn crap with naked girls with their stomachs opened up and guts and intestines being "decorated" and shit. I wanted to throw up. I stopped reading it entirely. Really disgusting garbage.

hand drawn/animated guts/gore never bothered me.
Actually I can even see real life guts/gore. Its not pleasant but I'm desensitized to so many things.
Sailor Moon 04
Usagi is fat!
She vows to lose weight and go to the gym.
This gives Jadeite a plan! He sets up a local gym to steal human energy.
Usagi and some friends go to the gym together.
Jadeite introduces them to a pod-like device that he says will help them lose weight.
This is a VERY suspicious looking thing. Why the fuck would anyone fall for this?
So anyway, it steals people's energy as expected. Eventually Luna catches them in the act, and Usagi's teacher Haruna nearly has all her energy taken from her before Luna gets USagi to intervene. She accomplishes this by threatening to scratch Usagi's face off.
LUNA DOESN"T FUCK AROUND.
So, long story short, Usagi turns into Sailor Moon, destroys some mind controlled muscle-goons in the fasce and shuts down Jadeite's operation.
Usagi realizes she's still a chubby failure after all that work!
Oh yeah, the episode itself: Fight scene was awesome, great animation and choreography, and the
HeartCatch Orchestra is still as awesome as ever.
The way the fairies go dead-eyed every time a non-precure sees them is really funny, and their puppet play was cute too, even if Toei is trying to indoctrinate little kids with it.
I dont remember it being that bad of an episode. Though, perhaps you could speed the pace youre watching I really couldnt imagine not watching all of the first few episodes in one few hour block of time.

Operation Skuldu got me focused and genuinely entertained. The setting returned to a setting familiarized at the beginning, the music was like a final puzzle theme in a video game (enjoyed it with the events ongoing a lot), transitions were stealthy yet reminiscing; fitting both the intensity of the mission and reminding the viewer of events from the first episode.
The confrontation with the father was, of course, the highlight of the mission. Last second problems arose and, as I had guessed, Okabe would shed his own blood to spare the one he loved and cared for. Yet, something curious happened, despite me calling this, it felt no less painful when he got stabbed in the stomach and when he directly punctures his hand into the wound (for a more convincing "crime scene"). The credits were done nicely and gave each of the major characters some screen time to receive official links to Okabe and closure for the viewer.
The scene where Okabe and Kurisu reunite was a touching, perfect way to close the curtains.
Overall, I really enjoyed this. I gave it slack before for starting out slow (and I still do not completely relieve it of this flaw), but the positives that come from the pace greatly intensifies later events. The lab's personal connection to each other played a much greater role than I had anticipated and I am glad it did. Originally, I was more expecting something along the lines of
SERN vs lab
which indeed does arise, however the plot covers the relationships and stories of old/new friends of Okabe.
The music wasn't a slouch, but one of the most memorable sound effects crossing many episodes was the busy world surrounding Okabe. One where
he changes the very threads of its existence, yet they continue on with life utilizing time they don't even know is in the hands of one determined mad scientist.
I believe that's stretching it, but it worked really well with me and the series later on.
Skyclad no Kansokusha
caught onto my ear and didn't let go in a certain scene.
The transitions and camerawork didn't really do anything special in many episodes. However, they saved the best for times where it was truly called for (ex.
Mayushii's first death, Okabe's first chase to save Mayushii, Operation Skuldi, conversations with D-Mail senders, time leaps
, which showed me that the direction did have the capacity to utilize them, but used them sparingly. It could have used a bit more for more low-tone scenes. However, when used for major instances, I found that it was used effectively.
The characters were the everything of this show. An otaku clubhouse glued together by one mad man. Daru was your fat, lovable comic relief.
He's never truly fleshed out, as it seems females are the definite focus on development sans Okabe
. His quips gave me chuckles and his presence was appreciated by myself, especially in the first half. Mayushii, at first glance, just looked like the "kawaii" relief, which in a sense is true.
Yet, she later comes to be the center of Okabe's immediate existence as he fights Father Time over and over and over again for her to "Tuturu~" another day. It's difficult to not like her character more when you see every possible side to it while Okabe sacrifices his mental being to save her.
Kirisu was excellent. Tsundere as they come, but was most definitely my second favorite character in the end of it all. Sounds like something the writer would have wanted, but hey, it worked on me.
Her relationship with Okabe from start to finish was well done. And I'm not a big one for icky romance, but the romance that fosters between Okabe and Kirisu, while feeling a bit sudden (say hello to their situation) was very acceptable and even "desirable" in my eyes.
The side characters
add their own flavor of happenings and personalities to the story. Also covering different aspects of wishes that would inevitably arise with the power of time travel: Preventing death of a family member, Gender/Sexuality, Direct confrontation of role model, etc. Even though I supposedly was suppose to catch some of them in the act of their true roles, I was taken by surprise with some.
In the end, I don't blame myself either, it added to my experience positively.
In conclusion, very satisfied that I decided to pick this up. A 2011 anime I heard about much more than I cared to. After reading the premise initially, I wasn't very interested, but suddenly changed my mind a few weeks ago. I am very glad I had a chance with this one. My expectation for the premise was completely polar of the end result and with this, I am very pleased. Good chemistry in the cast, humorous, straight-faced. A package of emotions and heart, that was more than I bargained for.

The WW plot was only like two episodes, if it had actually ended like two episodes prior to that plotline I think it could have been a perfect ending. The way it was handled just felt kind of rushed, considering we spent all that time on saving mayushi, but then to save kurisu is just two episodes? Perhaps Im a kurisu fan, but I would have wanted more time with her for the plot they attempted there. Otherwise I agree with much everything else you said I guess. Not a Shining Finger fan you are?

I would agree with the World War rush. I'm more judging it on immediate emotions. I would have used it as a critique, but I didn't really find myself caring for that plot point. That should count it as a negative, but it added along the element I desired at the time. I just wanted Kirisu saved. In terms of character involvement, I'd say the ending got it on the mark. I am a fan of Kirisu, but the time expended to reverse D-Mails felt right to me. And by the end of the 24 episodes *Boop* we're left with only two more for Kirisu's Day. I'll have to say another episode wouldn't have hurt (skimming from the first half), but with the episode limit, I respected where they took it.
As for Moeka, I expected the Shining Finger twist, but man, I was salt when she shot Mayushii. Fleshing her out, as happens with these things, unclogged my vision a bit. Afterwards, I liked her for what she was, a crying soul just looking for a purpose. Plus, she's hot hot hot .
One thing I don't get is how weak Saber is in the F/Z adaptation. In the 5th Holy Grail War, the reason she sucked ass is because of how weak Shirou is. She has a relatively decent and powerful Master so I don't understand why she only seems adequate. She should be one of the stronger Servants and they really haven't done anything to show that.

she's been fighting with 1 arm ever since she was careless in the lancer fight.. her left arm is only being used for support and it cannot be healed because of Lancer's cursed weapon and she can't use her noble phantasm with the injured arm
She hasn't exactly stood out from the crowd. Now it's possible that Lancer's NP has screwed her that bad but nothing has been shown that makes her anything above average. There have been other Servants such as Gilgamesh and Berserker who haven't shown their NP and they've distinguished themselves.

Saber has never been that skill dependent unlike Berserker. I mean yes it's a handicap but when a majority of your strength is coming from magical energy it seems only using one hand would be less of an issue compared to when you need physical strength or technique.

Saber hasn't even come close to showing her true potential. She's obviously ridiculously powerful when unhindered and allowed to do her thing. That hasn't been allowed to happen yet and wont until what some people already mentioned is reversed.

That was kinda sorta fun, in a weird way. Even though (or because) it was was really all sorts of cliched and stupid. Dunno if I'll watch more of this. Probably at least one more episode. Kinda surprised by the really blatant Nintendo product placement, considering the PSP is pretty much the go to platform for shitty, otaku-pandering anime shovelware.
Accel World 1
Certainly nice to look at, as expected from Sunrise, but other than that, this didn't do much for me. Don't like what I've seen of the characters. Then again, it is pleasing to the eyes and mostly unoffensive so far (by animu standards), so we'll see.
