Maybe something like this is nothing new, but the situation on Lupin the Third: A Woman Called Fujiko Mine work described by Eddie Mehong (didi) is so stressful (http://www.catsuka.com/interf/forum/viewtopic.php?p=388675#p388675)! They are working continuously and practically during all hours of the day, all days of the week. People in charge of production sleeping on the studio, without going home.

Reasons for this? Apparently the pre-production for the series was very long, and now because of that they are trying to keep in-check for the coming deadlines until the end of June.

Damnit. I can't be the ONLY one who liked the first episode right?

I thought we already did that...

Well it certainly occurs in this thread, but most of the people in here are now aware why it gets recommended and have wised up to it!

If this happened in OT then more casual posters and anime fans would fall victim.

Anyway, I was mainly just pointing out how easy it is to get the entire community on board with the show.

Wow just ranking the servants made me realize how dull most of them are. Caster had one truly amazing moment and has never lived up to that. Saber and Lancer are both dull as fuck. Berserker has the mystery angle to him but that's really it. Archer has just been sitting pretty for most of the anime. The only one who has been out and out awesome is Rider. Assassin is just pitiful.

Well, I can't read any of the link, so I'll have to rely on your translations about this matter. You might find this interesting though: http://fujiko.tv/gallery/

Each and every finalized design there is dated, and you'll see that the dates range from March 2011 all the way to Feb 2012. It seems extremely dangerous to only have finalized designs for some of the mechanical stuff and props from episode 1 two months before it is due to go on air. Hmm....

Yay! I'm not insane! I am surrounded by friends!

Gotta agree, but Saber is cute and powerful so I give her points for that.
Archer gets points for DAT SWAGGER, but Rider is KING AWESOME.
Caster is just a killing machine and Berserker is just a monster.
Lancer ony had one decent scene and Assassin just gets beat the fuck down all the time.

Sailor Moon 22

This episode was all about the flashbacks:
Usagi is the princess, and Tuxedo Mask has lost his memories.

Nephrite is growing more desperate every episode, but he's found a staunch ally in an unexpected source: Usagi's friend Naru. Naru is hopelessly in love with him, which appears to be the main focus of next episode. I foresee a lot of heartbreak in her future. :(

Anyway, Princess Dia of the Diamond Kingdom is about to unveil a phantom treasure, and Usagi is not invited. But fear not, she can always abuse her pen!

Nephrite, Luna, and Tuxedo Mask all believe it might be the Silver Christal they all are looking for. Tuxedo Mask has been racked with dreams of the past, and for the first time,
there's hints that he might actually be Mamoru!!!!!
umbrellas don't work that way

Nephrite's rival is frustrated by his failure to defeat Nephrite, so he runs off to the lap of his beloved.

Yaoi? In my Sailor Moon? It's more likely than you think!

Nephrite fails to get the treasure of course, which was just a 2000 karat statue.

Any way, a Naru episode next week! yay!

Chihayafuru 21-25:

Been saving this for when I needed cheering up by watching actually damn good anime. These episodes were highly enjoyable so that cheered me up, but then I was immediately saddened by the likelihood of us getting a sequel (i.e. none whatsoever). ;_; The animation, music, everything about this show is stellar, but above all it's the character dynamics and chemistry that make me feel for them and want to root them on.

This is a wonderful show. But fuck man, Shinobu
got FAT! D:

I see you updated to Sakura Miku! A good choice.

Oh yes, Chihayafuru is pretty awesome, I'm really looking forward to the second season.

Most shocking moment in 2012 anime. From what I've heard it's
not permanent
, though.

She was probably mentally traumatized by that particular incident and thought of nothing but getting the fuck away from there as fast as possible.

Only animegaf/animefans can say stuff like this

I don't think someone franticly trying to get away would stop to cut their hair and take off their clothes.

I'd think wearing his clothes probably made her feel filthy too.

At least keep the knife.

Fate/Zero: Einzbern Consultation Room Specials

Everyone knows the truth.

It was nice to have the basics of the premise laid out clearly like this. Most of the humor didn't work, but the parody of the circle walking scene was hilarious.

Someone screwed up. Will it go up in glorious flames, peter out in a limp implosion, or manage to arrive successfully at the finish line? How exciting!

Huh? Why would you say that? Pre-production is far from easy, and it is extremely important to put extra effort into it for productions with unique requirements. Without a solid pre-production phase, it would be extremely hard to have the proper materials to provide supporting studios you contract to handle various aspects of a show.

Glad you liked it. Really special series for me. Enjoyed it so much I may actually track down and read a manga for the first time ever.

Uhhh no. I think anyone would probably react similarly to how she did. Now as for cutting her hair, that's kind of unusual. Maybe she wanted to escape quickly and her hair would have slowed her down.

but this is a sequal of a most beloved franchise. it shouldnt take that long regardless im not saying they shouldnt have extra effort but that doesnt mean you keep human beings in all day and all week because somebody fucked up during pre production phase.

We all know that Hair Cuts are just a shorthand way of yelling "character development" at the top of your lungs.

Erm, I'm not really sure I see the correlation here. A long pre-production process is good. What seems to have fucked them here is that they were actually expected to go to air without a huge lead time. A year of pre-production for a new anime series with brand new designs and a new direction isn't even a lot. Given their production schedule, it would have made more sense for the show to start in Summer rather than Spring, and have a longer lead time of actual production so they can finish half the series before going on air.

Mysterious Girlfriend X 1

Well that was something. The whole drool thing was a little gross but at the same time its seems far more benign than some of the other fetishes out there since swapping saliva is just a fact of life. I'll stick around and see where it goes.

Ah My Goddess TV 10
And, we're racing! Not bad, just a prettier version with less goddess hax version of the original OAV episode 3, but it was still good.
But, at least it looks like we're done with the human villains and now moving onto Mara, which will be fun.

Fate/Zero 7

So good.
Is the stuff with Caster and the children uncensored on the blurays? Show has some ambiguous violence at times and I'm curious.

I believe
the BD's are completely uncensored.

The BDs are uncensored, but there are still scenes left ambiguous because it makes for better visual direction. Nothing is more powerful than suggestion and imagination. Fate/Zero is an excellent series with great direction, so it knows that sometimes showing less is more.

Well,
Caster's introduction was certainly very effective for just that reason, I'm glad they continued that way.

That scene made sense though. Some of what I was wondering about seemed like the show was lingering on a frame overlong while dialogue/sfx was tossed over it.

Blood-C Ep. 5

Well I'll be damned,
Saya actually saved someone for once.
Perhaps there is some hope for this girl after all. Though, I thought
only the "sacred blade" could kill the Elder Bairns? Meh, whatever.
