The contrast between the two posts got me good.

I haven't seen it, but I actually heard watching the Kenshin TV series gives a few scenes in Trust and Betrayal more impact. Can't deny or confirm that obviously. Read a review that was pretty adamant about not watching the OVAs first.
Koi Kaze 01
Aha, another uncaring-about-life romance protagonist. But hey, this guy's actually not some slender dude, he's a bit on the larger side. He kinda looks like my cousin, actually.
Oh, how convenient, she drops a card and now he has to chase after her. And conveniently a moment for: "You hear that? That's the winds of change."
Koshiro's got a real deep voice. So hopefully this means he's not some kind of simp like practically ever other romance protag. ...Actually no maybe this sets him up to be an even bigger simp.
Holy hell why do I get a really bad feeling about the plot from the conversation with dad... uhhh. So let me get this straight, is this brunette Koshiro's ex-girlfriend or something? Maybe they said it, I wasn't really paying attention.
Dude you're like so old. Why are you trying to get with jailbait right off the bat? ...and his co-worker doesn't seem to have all that much of a problem with it...? Uhhhhhhhh
A dark, sinking feeling comes over the viewer, peaceiscloser.
So we're in the first episode, and we're already having a pseudo-date at the park. I mean, the guy's got a problem, but this girl clearly has no common sense either to go with a total stranger... onto a carousel... and spill her guts. Wow.

See, I guess I just chalked that one up to "lol anime". Sure, in the real world that would be a huge problem, but this is anime, and I know that sometimes common sense goes out the window for the sake of the story (as good or bad a decision as that might be).
Another thing I noticed is that he went off with her to the amusement park right in front of his female co-worker (although you only see him giving her the tickets in front of the co-worker, you can pretty much assume they left together at that point as well). Isn't that risking getting a bad rep at the office? "So hey, I totally saw Koshiro going off to the park with a high school girl!" Or is everyone at Koshiro's workplace just used to this sort of thing because of that creepy looking guy that works there? I dunno, maybe they'll address it. Or maybe it'll just be "lol anime" again.

WHY WOULD YOU KEEP THE NERVE GEAR. WHY. WHY WOULD YOUR MOM NOT IMMEDIATELY THROW IT AWAY AGAINST YOUR PROTESTING.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I CALLED IT THEYHAHAHAHA. Oh my God, I should have written this show. NOW THEY'RE ELVES BECAUSE.HAVE TO GO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK.
Hey, whycome Kirito looks absolutely no older in the real world? Puberty doesn't happen? Kirito is now a master of the sword in real life because he learned in the matrix! Does Kirito's sister legit not know what he spent the last two years doing? Also, why isn't Kirito desperately trying to find his wife? Oh yeah because Asuna was the sole contributor to the relationship.
Wow, it's pretty convenient that Asuna was like, within biking distance of Kirito the entire time. Okay, its not that I don't believe that Kaiba is behind all of this again, it's that I don't know why when LAST TIME HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHY THE FUCK HE WAS DOING IT. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW AHAHAHAHAHAHA.
AHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY GOD. OAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAB SHE'S ALREADY HAHAHAHAHAHAHA SO THEN BUT THEN THE DRAMA AND THE REEL LIFE AND THE CONTRIVANCE NECESSARY FOR THESE THINGS TO BE THE CASE WHEN HAHAHAHAH WHY DID YOU NOT EVER AND HOW DID THIS NEVER I MEAN YOU GUYS WERE
LOLOLOLOL.
Not liking sibling romance.I just can't handle more siscon. Some form of it crops up in like every single romantic anime these days. Ughhhhh
I just wanted a straight orthodox romance story. Was it too much to ask ;_;
Hey, it's legit good.Heh. Maybe I'd have been a bit more critical towards it if I weren't so desperate for a good anime right now. :lol

Shounen love stories are pretty lame. Not that they don't bring a whole new set of issues with them but you should really, as a rule, turn to shoujo for the love stories.
Koganeiro is really the only good shounen love story I can think of. It managed to accomplish in 3 chapters what most love stories take 50+ to achieve, if at all.Shounen love stories are pretty lame. My sisters are my sisters.
Do not want.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to suffer through the rest of an episode without Klein.
Koi Kaze is a classy show for classy people. Dob't judge a work based on it's genre.
Execution trumps all else and people who limit themselves to certain genres/themes are bums.

Did you guys trick people into watching Koi Kaze now?
( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)Exactly, it's better to limit yourself to execution.
That's why I'll only look at things that are over the top. Everything else is boring no matter what the theme is.

It's like stuffing Samus in a dress at the top of the tower and making goddamn Starfy rescue her.
Doing a little bit of show sampling to find something to watch.
Myself; Yourself 1
No english dub. Artwork is kinda poor. Really shooting for that occasional ecchi shit, lazy animation at times (there was one shot of the main character, Sana, just walking around a corner of a building and they felt it was good to just basically draw four frames of him at different positions and just do fade transitions on him to "simulate" motion. Why.), bland soundtrack, annoying seiyu. Also, you setup the premise of Sana returning to live in his hometown after 5 years absent with a flash back of a party with all his old friends and you basically spend the whole first episode only re-introducing him to basically one of them? That's not a very good start.
Bleh. Next.
Toradora! 1
No english dub, also, but a lot better in the music and artwork department. They really like that "hey, I know this is an animation so it's not really a fisheye lens but hey look a fisheye lens!" effect, huh? I like this gag of him looking mean/evil (is this an occasional gag/thing in anime/manga? I remember it being used to the same effect when I read Karin a while back). Much better start. Show might a bit too weird and wacky for my tastes, but I'm not hating it so far.
I'm dying.
Good luck friend, it gets worse. And worse. And worse.
There's a reason why firehawk12 had that legendary rant on SAO.
Am I far enough in the series to actually read it yet, though?
If it was my fault, everyone would be watching Aria or Gintama.Somehow this is your fault and I blame your weird tastes spilling onto the board!!!

I hate you guys.Worse than child porn
I gave up after a while until the penultimate episode with the stupidYeah, it doesn't really spoil anything. Its just a really long stream of expletives aimed at the writer :lol
Although, you might enjoy it more after seeing the particular episode that brought the rant on.
