Dont know if people know this yet but if you press F12 it brings up chat (then enter to be able to type in chat)
Also press F2 when your in the gun shop, its amazing!

Took all the money I have and adding it to PayPal..which will give me 28 USD. Not enough to buy SC, if they accept PP. Only thing I got.

Well, I couldn't glitch through to the Constellation like some people, but I got to the M50 as a consolation prize.

Overall though, I can't say I'm particularly wowed by the module, despite not having looked at any PTU stuff. The previous official showings covered pretty much all the bases. I mean, that's not to say it isn't nice, but I really don't know why they wanted to keep screenshots etc from being shared.

Beautiful! How is the framerate? This build doesn't have zoning in place right?
4Ks anywhere from 26-40 some FPS on a Titan X. The main square is GPU murder. It is usually 30. And yeah, this is using an older Cryengine build on top of missing some optimization tech.

Find the trash incinerator behind the bar, the lighting there is amazing.

Anyone feel like the head bob is too much? Going from armada to hangar elevator made a little queasy. I never usually get flustered by movement.
I love it. Perhaps consider not running everywhere ? :D

Ehi guys, apparently i am eligible for a 15% discount on the starter pack but I can't figured out how to take advantage of it. Any clue? It's not active yet?

Hrm, does the e-mail not contain directions? I imagine if you created an account on the RSI website before to play the game during gamescom, you could log into that account on their website, add a starter package to your account's cart... and then you could see the discount?

Dunno what happened but now I can see the discount page. 37€ for the Starter pack with all the module available, you catch me chris!

Now I wonder how long it will take until they release the clothes shop. I want something fashionable instead of this marine armor. I'm a high class citizen, you know.

How bad is the head bob if you're wearing an Oculus Rift? Head sway/bob is one of the only things that's given me motion sickness in FPS games in general (otherwise I've played thousands of hours without issue), but VR would be especially bad for it.

I am positive they are considering this all in the VR design, when it releases.

OK, the roster sheet can now handle the new Vanguard variants, and module/BUK (Battlefield Upgrade Kit) functionality has been added. You can now add modules/BUKs like ships on the main entry page. They'll sort themselves into the correct column on the auto member list, and aren't treated as actual ships for the ship counts etc.

This should allow the ship counts to remain correct while also giving the ability to record outfitting flexibility. This is following the logic that a ship can only be one thing at one time, but it can be multiple things at different times with the correct outfitting.

Changing gender, race...higher up on my list of must haves. Clothes important too of course.

Even with differing outfits, it's ridiculous seeing the same avatar on every PC in the game. Talk about immersion breaking. Spending less time on head bobbing and fix avatar customization.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

Which GPU and what? Settings`?

I'll say that I was exaggerating slightly. It is true that it got that hot, but my 290 is of a low asic quality, it is highly overclocked (and 50mV overvolted). I also since noticed that all my intakes were covered with dust and today was quite hot.

I'll compare again on a cooler day, but I suspect that ArcCorp seems to heavily exercise the gpu all around as I've run benchmarks that also pegged the GPU but temps wouldn't rise as high.

If I am at 1080p, the main square is CPU limited on my rig, but higher resolutions I start getting more and more GPU limited. Don't let your GPU explode!

It's fine. That GPU regularly hit 95+ on the stock cooler, and I stuck a massive heatsink on the VRM transistors so they'll be ok too.

Totally agree. I just expect them to drop at the same time as the clothing customisation. i really dislike the bald space marine look.

Electronics lifetime decrease exponentially with increasing service temperature though. Think it was something like half the lifetime for each 10 °C increase.

*shrug* AMD rated the GPU to run at those temps. Also I don't really plan on keeping it around past next year.

I won't cry much either if it fails before then. I got that 290 a year and a half ago for ~60 euros

Wow at those screenies :o

Still need to get in there myself and have a look but I plan to do so before the end of the weekend. Gotta finish updating my client first.

I was hoping for some improvement, but the head bobbing is insane. Sent my refund request.

I mean, if you want a refund that's totally fine and I have no problem with it. But the final animations aren't in yet and probably won't be until Star Marine is released next month. I'd recommend waiting until that's out and the final animations are in.

Nah, let people get a refund ASAP - assuming they'll even be granted one. If head bob for an unfinished social module is enough to make them want to get out, then they probably shouldn't have pledged to begin with. Backing projects isn't for everybody. Some people really should just wait for a finished project and then decide whether it's worth their money.

I keep getting a timeout error whenever I finally load into the social module, I can barely get out of the elevator before I get disconnected, oh well, sent in a refund request.

I'll just try it later, I'm sure a lot of people are playing now :)

Agree with this post.

How is the base able to stream the social module on twitch? I couldn't get it to work at all last night.

The servers are indeed overloaded. For me it doesn't even try to load the module, and simply gives me a "servers full" message at the elevator. I guess this is a good stress test for them. I'm not sure how many people are actually on duty during the weekend to troubleshoot though.

Sentinel and Harbringer descriptions on the "blueprints" are (still?) reversed though.
