Doing some unrelated google image search I stumbled upon a magazine ad for WingIV that I found interesting. Very similar to StarCitizen marketing:

Whats the difference between MR and LN? Is it worth the extra $5?

My hangar is empty!!! Is it a known bug? It doesn't have any ships anymore...
Too small for me
Anyway, I'm really not a fan of the new hangars. I wish they updated the old hangars to their new modular concept as well. I loved my old deluxe hangar
The Revel & York hangar looks so boring.
Cutlass commercial debuted. Pretty funny. Variants (Black, Red, Blue) shown and on sale now.

If ever an opinion was objectively wrong, it's "the old deluxe hangar was better than the new one."
If you did follow the dev news, you would know they are further along than they seem now. A big part of the team is working on things for 1.0 while a smaller part keeps working to fix the 0.9 release (the problem is mostly the leaderboard system). The release schedule isn't as linear as you think, at one point it will just come together faster than you'd expect. A car can't ride even though the only thing you have to do is the put the wheels on it.
Answering myself now that they gave their current road map, yet to see what their late 2014 will mean for 1.0, but it's pretty much a given that it won't be released this month. Which mean it was neither able to keep the 8 week after gamescon schedule, or even the 6 week after 0.9 ( even adding 0.9 delay into it ).But at what point are we supposed to see that speed ? when would you say we can expect 1.0 ? then multicrew ?
While keeping in mind that mid august/gamescom :
0.9 in 2 weeks ( we are already past that, PAX / AC release the return of the vengeance, but we all knew it was coming )
1.0 in 8 weeks ( even with what you said should we still think that the 0.9 delay will have a 'linear' impact on 1.0 and be released 6 week after 0.9/not in 5 weeks now ? )
multicrew still hoping before 2014 ( don't remember how it was said exactly ).
Do any of you have movement issues since the game updated with the new hangars?
When I move around in the hangar there's constant stuttering. For example let's say I turn my head left, and then start moving forward. The camera will quickly make a left->right movement and then come back to its original position as I start moving.
There's this constant lateral camera stuttering as soon as I move my head or start moving in one direction.
Is it a known bug?
So there's going to be more information about the Avenger, right? RIGHT?
I decided to pick up the Freelancer package on a whim. I'm really looking forward to BETA.
I think the thing I'm most anxious about (In the final stages), is system performance. Definitely a game for future PC's.
We're not in alpha yet and you look forward to beta? Good luck .
Yup, it's really meant for 2022 PCs. Because that's when the game will finally release.
Eh just tried the Hornet with mouse + gimballed turret. Holy shit this thing is broken, on top of that the ship flies itself. Not much of a sim if it operates like Freelancer.
I backed the game because I wanted a freelancer-esque point-and-click shooting simulator. Their physics model add much more than that though.
They've re-recorded the landing footage in a somewhat better quality:

Nice. Looks great! I was pretty shocked at how good this looked at such an early stage.
And to think, the FPS module is also getting revealed in about 2 weeks! I'm really excited to see the feel they're going for with FPS combat.

The Gladius look far far better than I thought it would.

Avenger unsurprisingly missing from the video.

Many people seems to do that mistake ( I also first thought I might be the avenger with a huge rework ). But it's actually the Gladius. cf : http://imgur.com/a/yyAsAIsn't it the first ship that appears?
Although it says this on the letter from the chairman, so we should be able to see the avenger on that video.Eagle-eyed backers have noticed a shot of the Gladius in the Hangar during our presentation on Friday. That shot is actually part of a short video put together by Foundry 42 to keep the rest of the team updated on the status of their ships, which include the Avenger, Gladius, Gladiator and Retaliator.
The video contains footage of the Gladius and the Retaliator, but Foundry 42 are also responsible for implementing the Avenger and the Gladiator. It isn't surprising the former two are given priority since I'd presume the Gladius is a good fit for Arena Commander as a rival to the Hornet, and the Retaliator is intended to be the next ship to get a commercial (as per the 48 million stretch goal).Damn, Gladius looks amazing then! Gotta get me one.

After watching a few videos, my Space-Sim itch is acting up. I want in. One thing I'm curious about though; losing your ship when you don't have insurance means you've lost it permanently. How would you go about the game without a ship?
The LN has more firepower.

The Aurora is the very basic starter ship so don't expect wonders. The Mustang (more agile and generally combat orientated) is also a starter ship and Aurora owners will get the option to swap their ship for the Mustang without additional costs when the Mustang is hangar ready.
You can also try out all ships (Aurora, 300i, 350r, Hornet and M50) that are in Arena Commander this week.
First time I've heard that you'll be able to switch out the Aurora for something else for free. When did that happen? The recent event?
Crew in a bigger ship until you get some cash i guess.

Gimballed weapons is the only way I can play with the manner that their flight computer operates in. The Hornet was nerfed a bit with the changed COMSTAB settings (doesn't turn as fast as it did before). I turn COMSTAB off and I have a lot of fun flying around like a greased hippo.
Nice! Alright, signing up!
