Weird bug. Player character is unable to move after combat. Have to save and reload in order to resolve.
Using a wired X360 controller too.
The bug I'm running into:

I think I'm supposed to see the cutscene in Peragus around the time I've linked. I don't see that cutscene at all.
.... That's definitely a weird bug... Almost like that's from a completely different game![]()

Here is a comparison shot of my WIP Reshade preset for KOTOR 2. It demonstrates what a big difference AO can make in things like grass. I just wish there was a HD grass texture.

Peragus sure was a nightmare, but I'm finally done 5.5 hours into the game. Did all side quests I could (Gren's three bounties, dancing Twi'lek, etc). I have a question about the Ithidorian who's trapped in Lusk's cage... He says an external terminal would be able to free him. I'm only able to find the one next to Lusk, but when I try to operate it, it says I can't with "Lusk just standing there." What is that? For reference, I killed the chick and kept Lusk alive, I guess only because I said "I don't want to fight" and that pissed her off.
How do I get the Ithidorian out? So confused... But it's a bit too late. I'm already with Bao-Dur so I'll have to return to help him (and to get my loan paid back from that drop shop guy).
Now the real game begins.... muahahahahaaaa
Light side for l1fe
http://pastebin.com/6DLSLMUxLooks pretty cool, you plan on sharing that at some point?
AO looks good but the over all image quality looks very blurry.
I can hardly tell what item/skill/power I'm selecting during combat; the outline in the hud just blends in with the background. I have to randomly select things just to see where I'm at.
I've dealt with this all the way to Malachor V.
What about unlocking the ending of the game?
It's kinda stupid that an unofficial patch did it years ago,but not the official one.
i don't understand how this has controller support. i have an official wired 360 MS controller plugged in but i cant remap any keys get anything to happen with the controller or see any option to switch to controller. i would like to play this game with one, can anyone help? my game is updated..
It uses XInput so it should just work with an official XBox controller. No remapping required. Are you using custom drivers or something?
If you're not doing anything weird, try removing any other controllers or unnecessary USB devices that may be plugged in and reboot your computer. It would also be useful to confirm that the controller works in other XInput games. (Most modern games use XInput)
Wait... Without spoilers, can someone explain this? The intended ending was never officially released?
The development of KOTOR 2 was super rushed. I think it was less than a year?
Anyways, in order to be able to have the game be in a shippable state, Obsidian had to cut a lot of planned content for the end sections at a late stage. It's to the point that it's just barely coherent.
However, the TSLRM managed to restore a lot of the cut content (which was in the game code, but not hooked up), thus allowing players to experience the ending sections that Obsidian intended originally (and would have provided if they hadn't been on such an insane timetable). It allows for a much more coherent ending experience.
Mod support is super half baked... The general consensus is if you have more than 5 mods right now of any sort your hand is going to crash and burn. Even a relatively benign mod like getting light sabers early caused my peragus save to go crazy. T3 turned into male Jedi with a black woman's portrait...
Going to go back to playing just with the content restore mod from the beginning.
Light side run done @ 34 hours. Going into dark side next. Question about it. I don't remember. How do you turn Atton and the other good characters to sith? Do you have to do good things in front of them to gain influence with them specifically and then continue to make yourself dark?

Finished my playthrough and maybe it's just because I'm lazy and didn't bother optimizing the build/gear of my companions in the same way as the main character, but there were some ridiculous difficulty spikes at times when I wasn't able to use the main character. The end of the Sith Tomb was the worst, I ended up running circles around the room dragging the enemies behind me, with Atton resurrecting every few turns to shoot them and getting killed again.
Overall I did like the game and the story a lot, I'd played it back at the release but didn't really remember anything about it anymore. But there's a lot of streamlining in more recent RPGs that I personally like, both in gameplay and UI. Not a big fan of being expected to rotate party members to gain influence for them, I'd prefer having separate dialogues for that stuff (read: I just wanna roll with Kreia and Visas). And the inventory just got unbearable at some point.
So I guess what I'm saying is you can blame me for Mass Effect turning out the way it did.
Sorry for the bump, but does anyone know how to fix broken quests? I downloaded the M4-78 restored content. After playing it for about an hour, I realized I didn't enjoy the quests and wanted it to end quickly. I had a save from Korriban that I loaded up. I deleted the M4-78 content and the quest log says I found Vash's body, which was used by the Sith as bait. I've found all the Jedi on all the other planets. Now I'm currently waiting on Master Kavar from Onderon to contact me, but after visiting several more planets, nothing has happened. I don't get any cutscene with T3-M4 regarding the message & when I go to Dxun to Canderous' camp, no cutscene plays out. Am I doing something wrong? I still have the TSLRP mod installed. My save prior to the droid planet is AFTER I left the Sith academy.
Played light side and dark side.
Dark side had SIGNIFICANTLY more bugs than light side did.
Will the first game be getting a similar update at some point?

Was going to return to this game after many years, with the restoration mod, and figured, since it's got controller support, why not try that.
Problem is only got DS4's or DS3's, anyone managed to get the game to work with those? And not have the camera constantly spinning around?
Edit: I'm on Windows 10 by the way.
Soon after the games update and new platform launch in July, Aspyr rep Michael Blair made a call out to the Steam community for pitches on what they thought would make for fun new achievements. The thread garnered over 200 comments with lots of unique and creative ideas. After much deliberation and careful vetting (to make sure a suggested achievement was technically valid), Aspyr has now selected 20 of their favorites that will be turned into actual Steam achievements!
