Star Wars Land Coming to Disney Parks

So what part of the park are they going to have to replace or tear down? I thought Disneyland was pretty much out of room.

Well, Disney just bought more property in Anaheim. My guess is they're going to get rid of ToonTown and move their backstage/backlot and production facilities "off-site" to make room.

It's over. Disney has won. They won.

As a kid that grew up in SoCal and cut my teeth going to the park, this was a dream once Star Tours launched. I remember as a kid, I wanted TomorrowLand to become Star Wars land actually, with Space Mountain becoming a SW speeder ride.

This is a great fucking day.

Exciting though I am kind of disappointed the Theme of the Land is set in the New Trilogy instead of a mix of new and old.

That's billion with a B.
Still an amazing deal. It's going to be bringing in a billion per year at least when you consider the movies and all the merchandise and things like the TV series. All the hype could bring in $4 billion by the end of next year off the back of two movies.

Plus it included all Lucasfilm's other properties, like Indiana Jones, which is worth a fair amount on its own.

5 out of 9 ain't bad

I hope the Millennium Falcon has a random chance of having it break down in the middle of the ride, followed by a sense of turbulence and the sound of TIE Fighters shooting it

That'd be rad

will there be people in jar jar binks costumes that adults can beat up?

Kids like Jar Jar :v

My heart goes out to whoever buys a non-park hopper ticket to Hollywood Studios. Construction on Toy Story Land should have started like, yesterday, with an opening date of no later than early 2017.
