The delay is down right ridiculous. I'd love to sit down with the guy who decided this added anything to that amazing reading. Way, way, WAAAYYY too much delay. I actually couldn't finish it. Palp isn't in a big enough space in the movie for that echo to sound natural, and the space he's doing the reading in is certainly not big enough to produce that much echo. Other than a Grand Canyon made of metal, no kind of oh pace would produce this much echo. As a result, a listener can be very distracted and thrown off by the fact that the delay doesn't match the space he's in. The audio engineer in me blood screamed about 5 seconds in before clicking stop.
I cannot remember the last time I was hyped for something Star Wars related besides the first prequel. (If only we could warn ourselves) Part of me says I shouldn't get excited, but then I remember there is no way this could be that bad. We've learned from our boring senate hearing Jar-Jar filled movie mistakes. I think we might do it right this time. Plus, no Lucas. Who would have thought the man who created Star Wars would end up being the worst person in the world to continue it? No one. If only we could warn ourselves.
I hope this trilogy has a single overarching villain like the original did. It was so stupid that they didn't have Darth Maul as the villain through the whole prequel trilogy and instead had a different one for each film. I don't want the big bad guy to just be disposed of at the start of a trilogy. That'd be like not having the Tannen family constantly tormenting Marty throughout the entire BTTF trilogy. Give me a new Darth.
The best part of this is that everything looks dirty and used. Unlike the prequels where they made everything shiny and new. Especially after Lucas made a huge deal when making the original that everything needed to look like it had been used for decades. So it's nice to see some dirt on the walls again.
Are you an angel? I've heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They live on the moons of Iego, I think. They're the most beautiful creatures in the universe.
I want one of those. I NEED one of those. If they don't make a fully working replica for sale that isn't a shitty limited toy it'll be the biggest missed opportunity in robot toy selling since Short Circuit 2. I mean for chrissakes, the movie was about selling miniature toy versions of a really cool robot.. yet they never made actual toys that matched the ones in the movie. I hope whoever made the decision to not sell toy Johnny 5's got fired for that blunder.

This is seriously the most excited and happy I have been in months. Such a great time to be a Star Wars fan again. I had greatly distanced myself from Star Wars after feeling rather burned by the prequels, but as soon as I learned that Lucas had sold the property to Disney that spark, which had been long dormant, ignited. I honestly feel like a kid again.
They are the main characters, but Daisy is possibly the Luke Skywalker of this new trilogy. Just as Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme were the main characters of episode I-III although the main focus was on Anakin.
so what if Finn is the main character will you not watch it then? i dont understand why people think she is just the main character. I heard that they both may have huge roles

Not sure why this is confusing anyone, it's no different than Luke, Han and Leia or Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme. It's mostly an ensemble piece but there is one (Rey) that is the obvious protagonist like Luke and Anakin.
Love how they all look believable within the classic SW universe. Even Boyega's jacket has echoes of that late 70s-early 80s style of sci-fi design.
There were parts of the Prequel trilogy that looked nice(visually beautiful in design and how it was rendered), but looked drastically different that what was in the Original trilogy. But this one, for what little we've seen, has the look down.
Abrams did a great job capturing the Amblin-style for Super 8 and it looks like he's aiming to capture that OT style for TFA.
Yep, I get the same impression from what we've seen. I think Leia and Han might be more of the "Obi Wan" role, though. It wouldn't surprise me if Luke didn't show up until the very end.

I kind of feel it's going to be more like... Rey and Finn share the protagonist role, but Rey may stick out just a bit more due to her implied heritage and that she's likely a Force user; the story seems to revolve around her the most. But I don't think Finn will be considered a "secondary" character.

This is how I see it play out, but with Luke being the Yoda who's going to do some training and Finn closer to the young Obi-Wan of the prequel than Leia.
I believe the main character is going to be Finn, as the decisions he makes early on will result in his encounters with the other two. His story will be the initial focal point, at least from what I can tell so far.
My feeling is the reason they put the family line in this trailer is because that's what the plot is about. The title and the line from the first trailer makes sense now: Rey is probably Leia's daughter, hence the force is strong in her, and the force is trying to stay balanced so it brings about the emergence of the dark side in someone else (or the light side emerges because the dark is present in someone else).
So the force awakens, both the light and the dark, because one can't exist without the other.
