I just want everyone to get along, this is not the Jedi way.
The Jedi way wasn't hugely successful, Brandon.
I for one am happy about the separation. In time this thread will become useless, but for now it is much appreciated. And those that dont see it on day 1 will appreciate it as well.
At first. Then there was the Return of the Jedi god damn it.
Luke was threatening to kill people within the first few minutes on screen. Jedi are now pretty cutthroat. At first. Then there was the Return of the Jedi god damn it.

I wish shadows of the empire was canon
Know how I know you haven't read Shadows of the Empire recently?
I remembered it being awesome, but man, try playing that shit now. Outside of the vehicle stages, it has aged horrendously. The Nintendo 64 game was good.

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for Dash Rendar and his giant shoulder vest. It's the times that count.

Fuck i know i'll cave and get tickets for this.
Yeah, Boba Fett can fuck off in that game. The canyon level that took about 18 minutes if you were GOOD was a fucking nightmare.
Absolutely. Captured the feel of John Williams. Star Wars, of course, but I also get some major Superman vibes. The best thing about Shadows of the Empire was the soundtrack by Joel McNeely.
There's some legitimately good stuff in there.

Just to give you an idea.
Why wouldn't you
Sadly I wasn't able to get tickets for opening night, but I managed to sneak into a showing on Friday. This is the most excited I've ever been for a movie.

The Force Awakens is based on the premise that the Return of the Jedi didn't go so well after awhile...

He returned and would appear to have gone into hiding
All indications are whatever Luke did after Endor it wasnt returning the jedi
So a club composed entirely of a single member, that being some angsty kid who dresses in all black and has the hots for his own sister.
I dunno about this club.
Well, let's see how he's done after 30 years in a week and go from there.Maybe Jedi just suck?
If they renamed the empire and rebellion then stands to reason we can rename the jedi
Suggestions welcome
I didn't think much of it when I read in the news that my city cinema's IMAX projectors were upgraded to laser but turns out it's sort of a big deal for this film. I might have to watch it a third time if this turns out to be good.
It does sound very tempting. I'm watching the midnight premiere, first in the world *maniacal laugh*, in normal 3D so I'll have a point of reference if I do watch it. I'll be honest, as long as it isn't abysmal I'll be seeing this in full IMAX glory.Yeah apparantly the difference in quality is massive. Darker blacks, better contrast and brighter 3D image.

Whenever I feel like this movie might suck I remember JJ Abrams is directing it.
...and you find this... reassuring? I can think of maybe one wholly satisfying movie he's done, and that's the first Star Trek reboot. The rest have been either messes or have horribly disappointing conclusions.
