If they have this policy, I don't see them blocking IPs.

That said, I will pay for a proxy server if I have to! no way am I missing out on playing ToR at launch

I am from Australia, and I ordered the CE and I got my pre-order code. My account accepted that code :)

Thanks. I wasn't sure what was the normal operating procedure with MMOs and this worry popped into my head today.

Eh, for $60 I think i'll pass until the core game gets cheaper. I rarely buy games new and at full price and $60 is just too steep. I'm interested, but for something I don't plan on playing for longer than 3 months, I can't pay that much for it.

Hopefully there will be some sales once it's out.

As far as i've looked into things, no. I'm hoping for the standard $15.

But also given recent inflation and a $150 Collectors Edition, who knows at this point.

Well they did say there wasn't going to be an open beta of any kind. Your only chance at beta access is to keep checking your inbox to see if you become one of the lucky ones.

I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
In a bout of stupidity, I registered my regular edition code from Amazon.

I preordered the CE moments later. But when I go to register my new code, it won't let me.

Anyone able to get past that?

I don't think you can add two preorder codes to one account.

Exact same thing happened to me. I should have read the whole thread before preordering, thought it was early access to a bigger beta or something.

I really like my screename, and I've used it since day one. And it's connected to my EA account.


UGH!!! I'll call them tomorrow. I bet they can figure something out.

I did eventually get my code for the Digital Deluxe from Origin & was able to register it. Now to cancel the Amazon.com order... what happens to the code they sent me for the standard edition? O_O

Okay, critical question:

I've preordered the Digital Deluxe from Origin and the CE from Amazon. I am eventually going to cancel one of these orders but have not decided which. Can I redeem my preorder code from Amazon with no repercussions in the future if I decide to cancel that one? Or do I need to hold on to both until I've cancelled one?

so, i am german and want the Deluxe Edition. Is there a way to get it without origin?

1. 75€ it´s f****** expansiv, some UK Shops with a nice Price would be nice

2. I can only buy this game with a Creditcard in germany? I don´t have one and i don´t want one.

Kind of miffed by the pricing for the Digital Deluxe. If it was a retail 'Deluxe' edition, might bite. But digital, not a fucking chance.

It is confusing, maybe the earlier you pre-ordered and redeemed your early access code the earlier you can play the game. So basically those who did these just right after midnight get's first access compared to people who pre-ordered tomorrow.

'Digital' is the new word of 'Easy Money', sadly its not unique to EA.

Just saw this and your other post. Done. Pre-order code redeemed. Sorry for taking US stock away from any Gaffers ;)

Still a bit of a rort having to get it shipped over from the states. Sad thing is even with 2-5 day shipping, it will still be cheaper than buying local.

Haha, I know it would have been $200+ if they released that here.... best thing of all since our dollar is stronger than the US we get it even cheaper!

I don´t like how EA handles the Pre-order shit. It looks like EA would try to get the maximum Cash and i don´t see why EA doesn´t go the same way when the game starts (monthly fee + item Shop).
Maybe they lost a customer, maybe i wait until Diablo3 comes out :/

Looks like it. All you'll need is your serial code come launch day to continue playing, no more installs - though there might be a patch, I remember Rift having a decent-sized patch on launch day.

I just hope there's a 1-2 day 'grace' around launch day in case Amazon don't get the game to me on launch day, which has happened in the past.

So I ordered the digital deluxe edition like 5 minutes after it was available.

Just got my confirmation email, but I cannot see the game in my Origin client.

The mail points me to where I can enter my pre-order code, but where do I find it? Can anyone help me out here?

Gotcha.

I ordered the digital deluxe and registered the early access through origin already, but what if I wanted the C.E edition instead?

Everything went well for me. Logged in pre ordered and five minutes later i got my confirmation and registered the game. D/l Origin and its in the my games category. Added a few more bioware games.

Only baffling moment was that i thought the 5 euro for pre order was a discount. Apparently its a tax. For pre ordering and helping them.. Wat?
