Well, fuck. Again. So i update my TOR account's email to my gmail. That went fine. Then is started thinking, well, i need to update my EA account too. But i can't change it to my gmail, claims it's already in use.

/facepalm

Should i have updated EA account first and then TOR account?

Didn't think that EA and TOR accounts were linked. Are you sure that you havent used your email before in the past for EA? I've done that before.

Seem weird, since you can order the game from the US and still play. Don't know why they would delay the launch...

My main email is used for EA account. And it was used for TOR account but i changed that to gmail.
That was the first use of that gmail account actually...
Sigh, i guess i'll have to contact EA/BW/TOR site support...

EDIT well, it seems i fucked up that. EA/TOR accounts are linked and by changing the TOR account email, it created a new EA account with that email. Without notifying me. Fucking information hiders.

Hmmm, got an email alert from my credit card saying EA authorized the full-price charge of the US Digital Deluxe edition, though EA claims the full price won't be charged until the product releases. Therefore, I conclude the game is coming out today.

For the finns lurking, the origin preorder page is slightly broken. The address it automatically transfers you has "fi_FL" as the locale, the correct one for Finland is "fi_FI". Just swap that manually and you can order.

Well... this is one fucking awful day.
Contacting EA support... ain't gonna happen. Contacting EA support through email requires,
YES, REQUIRES! Product code, promo code and error code. At least that's how i understand their support page.
Obviously with TOR account/EA account mess, i have none of those. Live chat wait time is over an hour and i don't have time for it anyway, not now.
I have no idea how to contact EA about EAaccount issues, how to merge EA accounts... it seems to be impossible.
Why the fuck do people desing such obstructive sites and hide the info behind small links in wrong places?

EDIT if i update my EA account with a completly new Email and then create new TOR account?

The only way your guild gets transferred onto a realm of your choosing is when at least 4 people in your guild have pre-ordered the game and when your guild master gives the go-ahead to transfer your guild to a certain realm.

So I'm just checking if the european republic NeoGAF guild had enough pre-orders. Seems we just need 1 more.

So, I just did my europen Digital Deluxe preorder. "Based on our estimates, you ARE likely to receive your pre-order."
Now 48 hours of e-mail checking to see if I can get my code.

Pre-ordered the Standard edition via Origin. £40 in total.

Looking forward to playing with fellow Euro-Gaffers. Havent thought about what first char to play yet - but I may start as a Bounty Hunter to compare against the good old (pre CU) SWG days...

So I am an American living in Japan who plans to play on American servers and pay with an American credit card, but I can't pre-order? Do you think it's alright to use a proxy to trick the site into letting me order?

Well, you would have the risk of the game being region locked at launch anyway, wouldn't you?

Most MMORPGs are.

Pre-ordered on Amazon US. Just the regular edition though. Hopefully this game is released a little earlier than the other games I'm dying to get my hands on like SR3 and UC3 and Forza 4.

Going to be an expensive holiday.

Okay, i got things to work by changing my EA account email to my windowslive one and then creating a new TOR account using that.
I think I'll get the DDE then. My brother will probably get a retail copy anyway, the case would be nice in my game shelf.
EDIT maybe i'll get the standard edition. Fuck. Gotta go take a walk and clear my head.

In the first few months of the game emphasis will be on helping eachother level, do flashpoints and pvp. All of this will be on a PvP server so world pvp will also be an option if the community permits it.

Yeah, this morning has been pretty crazy. Now we have the BW panel later today. They still have their big announcement so wondering what that is. If it turns out to be the pre order business, I'll be pissed.

Quick question. I ordered on Amazon and I'm assuming when the early access code is emailed I'll be able to download the client from the servers instead of waiting for my 2-day shipment of the DVD version? I'm not sure how that will work.

Or will I just have to wait for 2 days after launch? No big deal but it would be nice to start a couple days early mainly for names and such.

They will email a link before launch to download the client.

If you get "Early Access" you will be able to download the client for that.

However, you will need your physical copy with your cd-key to keep playing after launch (they may allow you to keep playing for a short while in order to compensate for delivery delay).

You'll download the client itself. It'll be the same through Amazon.

Awesome. I was hoping they'd do something like that.

Can't wait, doing the pre-order made it actually feel "real" and not all Diablo 3 on me.
