Ok so I FINALLY got origin to accept my order. It froze the first time and I couldnt even find a link until 5 minutes ago on their site. Says I am likely to get the digital CE but I always have my amazon SE if it doesnt go through, already registered the code.


Part of me totally expects to be triple billed from origin in the morning :-/

I order the standard physical edition from amazon but it seems i'll be able to download the game early as well, neat!

"How will I be able to gain access to the Game in time for Early Game Access?

Customers who have redeemed their Pre-Order Code for Star Wars: The Old Republic will be notified via email prior to the beginning of Early Game Access that the Game client is ready for download. Another email will be sent at the beginning of Early Game Access to inform players that they can now access Star Wars: The Old Republic"

I used it once when they first starting pushing it. Never again. Origin is garbage. Just preorder from Amazon, get your key, and be happy! :D

I guess I'll preorder from Amazon as well since I have received nothing since my order e-mail from Origin and nothing shows up in my order history in the Origin client (I can't even log in on the website for some strange reason)

I think they are getting slammed right now. I have nothing in my Origin history either, but I got the confirmation and code.

Got my code from Amazon. Don't know which order did it.

Now I just need to figure out how to cancel the Origin one. I don't care about getting the digital CE any more. I'll just use the Amazon standard box copy.

Fortunately Amazon is fantastic with customer service so I have no issue with cancelling my order through them if EA eventually sends me the code & I get the digital deluxe preorder

this digital CE is 80, the physical is 150 so its still kindof 80.

A regular and a CE from Amazon. Already got the Early Access code from Amazon and have registered it on the ToR site.

A CE from Origin, as well.

It's too early in the game, IMO, to put faith in just one vendor. In regards to shipping, options, client downloads, limited quantities, etc; I plan to check out any developments in the next few days and cancel orders accordingly. But with Amazon not charging till it ships, and Origin only charging $20... I can rest easy tonight.

Good luck to EVERYONE in this thread!!!!

Can't believe it's finally happening. This is the game that I've wanted since completing KOTOR back in '04. That game stands to this day as my favorite game of all time.

Canadian here, origins won't let me buy from them either and amazon charges another $8 as import fees :( but I'm still giving them my money.

If origin says your password is incorrect just keep trying. It said that to me and I repeated it like 3 times bc I know my password and it went through. Its a buggy piece of shit really.

So yeah fuck Origin, I'm locked out of my account now for no reason.

Hmm... guess I'll be cancelling my CE order from Origin, then. No reason to let them play with $170 of my money for two months.

What's the point of the $20 preorder price, then?!

There is NO regionlocking!
Yes, it will be possible to play on the same server as your friends. Any player of Star Wars: The Old Republic can choose to play on any server. However, if you choose to play on a server outside of your own region (i.e., – playing on European servers from North America, and vice versa), because of natural latency caused by the distance between your client and the game servers, you may find your game performance is impacted.

advance payment according to FAQ. Atleast in Finland they reduce the preorder price from the final order.

I still can't believe how shitty Origin is... I guess I'll just put faith in my Amazon pre-order. At least my code has already been activated.

Oh. I have enough to pay for it (not that I want to because I'll probably just get the Amazon version after this mess) as long as I get the money back.

I have never ordered from Amazon.com before so a few questions...

Can someone confirm that you are NOT charged the cost of the CE until it ships?

Does it place a hold on your CC in anyway?

Are they really letting you order for the advance playtime and then cancelling? What are you going to do when the game actually launches?

Hmm... well I'll throw some cash in my account tomorrow just in case. I sent out my car payment today, and the full amount will drop me a hair below that bill. No biggie if it releases in a day; but no reason to take a chance.

Really hope they don't plan to hold the $170 until release, though.
