107MB for client, just over 38GB for all files.

The weekend beta is 27.2 GB. I downloaded it last night. Everything is finished the folder is 27.2 GB. I'm not sure if the 38GB download is for a different version of the beta, or if there will be a patch or what but as of right now it's saying everything is good to go and I'm just waiting until they open everything up this evening.
It should be fairly straightforward, to make it easier for the computer illiterate. Just send her to swtor.com/tester and everything should pop up easily enough. No one in the beta may be saying anything due to NDA. The odds of her destroying her computer are unlikely. Pre-order CE at GameStop, get pre-order code (still available for CE). Return later to cancel and get $25 deposit back (or put towards whatever you were going to buy). Pre-order code is still valid. Weekend Beta invites are one and done invites unless they decide to change it later on. You could theorectically get a full invite maybe but im pretty sure full invites are done for North America.Dunlop said:

What I've learned from this is the production client better be patchable from this or be available 2 days before the early headstart.......

No but they have stated they will be giving people access ahead of headstart to begin downloading. The reason for never patching beta clients retail is to make sure no residual bugs are left in the files.gatti-man said:
Its also why they are staggering access as far as headstart. Stagger access means staggered downloads. It will be interesting to see how long headstart really is since they are staggering access to it based on when you registered preorder
